Another grand day at Sneaky Bay! Island sure is being exploited, shellfish, starfish, pearls, trees cut down, buildings popping up all over the place. :P Guess this is what happens when you give humans a select set of tools and let them run rampant! Another good segment; onto the next one.

Thanks! I appreciate your reviews!

Can't seem to even get past 100m. :/ Doesn't seem like timing the angle's so difficult, but no matter how good the angle, it just doesn't get very far. Confused at to how the 'Rocket' works as well. If you throw short, you can see how the character jumps aboard and starts moving forward, but it seems like the javelin flies waaaay past the character no matter how much you accelerate. Does the character even move from the starting point? No mention of the rocket in the demo, either. I'm starting to suspect I'm missing something vital... seems like a fun game otherwise, but either medal amounts are insane, or I'm really missing something here.

JeffersonTD responds:

There are multiple demos. Some of them show you the player successfully using the rocket. If you throw the javelin very far at a low angle, you can't reach it with the rocket, but if you throw at a higher angle, you can reach it. The rocket accelerates as long as you press the button.

Thanks for the review!

So... difficult! :O And addicting. :P Thought I wouldn't make it past the miniature medal for a while, but it seems your game design is always such that all you need is a little practice to figure out the strategy, or get into the rhythm of things, though since there is a random factor (I assume?) that final medal might be reserved only for the truly skilled; in addition lucky. Glad there is mouse support too, seems I'm much more used to such control in games like this, though it would've been nice if you didn't have to keep it pressed down to navigate. Overall, great game! Smooth, simple; with endless alternations!

Hi Cyberdevil! Thanks for the awesome review! It does seem that randomness is a bit involved, although I tried to minimize this as much as possible by having it check itself for difficulty, resulting in easier sections after harder ones and vice versa. Nonetheless, heart boxes for example are quite unfair.

I like the mouse controls a lot more than the arrow keys, too. It doesn't fit the "two-button controls" theme, which is why I added it after the fact.

I now removed the requirement that the mouse button has to be down. I didn't like it either. :)

Not bad for a 48 hour game! Always impressive to see what creative pieces Ludum Dae sparks. Though I do wonder, why Marshmallows? How did this particular idea come to fruition? :P Game both works and looks good, even if it's pretty basic. Fun for a while, but not that much re-playability IMO. Any more Ludum Dares you've been in?

jejkobb responds:

idk, I just drew something and it became a marshmallow ^^

Nice effects with the Christmas lights at the end! Would've been cool with more atmospheric lighting in the game, maybe some opacity on snowflakes, etc. The very zoomed-in level layout makes it feel like you don't really know where you're going as well, and controls are pretty wonky, especially climbing surfaces, where you can't walk but rather have to jump in lots of tiny steps to get somewhere. Sliding down is no easier! It was a fun; simple adventure overall, but with smoother controls it'd be so much better. Keep it going; Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much! Happy holidays!

Simple fun. :) Not the most fluent or challenging control, but it's pretty easy and addicting. Good touch with the highscores too.

haha, thank you for reviewing pretty much all of my newgrounds content, I got really suprised when I saw 11 new interactions. But as you might have seen most of my content was made a long time ago, so I (try to) make better content nowadays ^^

Bit funky control when dragging the card from/to the drawer (it was easier with the book), and misleading labels on the machine, where 'deposit' works to enter card, and 'widthdraw' to take out money... but maybe confusion is part of the plot? Interesting game mechanics, though I'm not sure I understand the goal. Is this a game you can win? Is it meant to symbolize something? Is there a message? Also, on the intro screen it took a while to figure out I had to click the checkbox rather than the flag to change language, maybe not entirely clear for everyone.

I started this game from a tutorial pixel (the book), I imagine after a Paper Please + clismon (Inspiration), did not think the mechanical well and this is because aren't polished, I traduced myself, and my english is ineffable.

The meaning of the game is that no matter who give you the junk bonds, you will be dismissed by the bird because symbolizes capitalism in a bizarre state

Thanks for playing

I think I totally missed the shooting option last time I played this game, revisiting it now it's... addicting! And not all too challenging either, I mean not challenging to the point where you give up, just to the point where it makes you have to focus to keep going. After 10 minutes is when it really starts getting difficult though. Balanced, simple and fun game idea. Nice work!

Thanks for the feedback =)

Glad you like it.

Not a bad clicker overall: the interface is niec and pixel, the music cheerful, and there's great variety in upgrades and tasks, even a random factor. The main downside would be how loooong time to become nice! Bit too much grind IMO. Also, there seems to be a karma cap on 2,147,483,647? All highscores are tied on this number. Good game overall!

Variable limitation in ActionScript (variable is Number, and this is the max)

Made it! Finally! :D Took a while, but it was all worth it. First impressions almost made me give up and quit the game, but I'm glad I persevered; glad to find out it's one of those games where - once you figure out the patterns and overall flow of control, it's not so difficult after all. Levels are simple but clever, obstacles varied and balanced, and the soundtrack pretty empowering. Not too many levels either. Good game!

Blobzone responds:

Thanks for playing.

I am glad that there are at least some people out there who do not complain about the difficulty to much and get the whole pattern stuff.

Cheers.
