Not bad for a first game! The mechanics are alright, though would look a lot better if the character moved when he moved, and being able to jump out of the roof (and die) is a bit annoying on one part. Also no end! :/ You did say so in the description, but could have at least a finish line graphic... something saying You Win when you reach the end. It's a start...

I used a base in stencyl to make this, and added a bit to the end of the level, if i left it the same then it would have been a lot shorter, so in otherwords this game is finished, and i'm not going to work on 1000 width of a game when I actually am alreaddy working on a game with RPG Maker XP, this is just a short little thing I did to pass the time as I wait for the assests I need for my game, and adding a you win thing would actually take a lot of effort, believe it or not making flash games is hardr then actual games with things like rpg maker xp.

Oh man... that rage. XD I thought it'd be a simple task considering the graphic style, but it really wasn't... didn't make it to the end, but I did make it to the first coin, and I wonder: what does it do? Does it do anything? Is it just decoration (the golden one to the right)? Since it seems you can't pick it up at all. It was an.... interesting platformer, and I noticed you could edge yourself a bit while jumping too to make things a BIT easier, but unless there are more shortcuts I haven't figured out I don't believe I have the patience for this... I like the idea of just moving via jumps, but they feel pretty uncontrollable. No meter as to show you how far you're going either; to really measure the right power required. Props on an original idea, but not really my cup of tea it seems.

CitizenGoose responds:

Hey! Thanks for the review, I have made the changes, hopefully the two meters make it easier to play. The coins marked "Checkpoints", but I can understand that they caused a lot of confusion, I swapped them for flags.

Now this is the kind of game NG was made for. :D I love the idea, simple and addicting, and the graphics are appealing too... though as for gameplay it does feel a bit imbalanced. The speed picks up crazy fast yet sometimes slows to a crawl... and stops before you manage to run into anymore monsters/girls. It also feels like it jumps a bit, but may be that's simple lag, otherwise the controls are smooth; gameplay easy to get into. And play again, and again, and again... wish you had a total score table too for those that really put in the time here; show the accumulated effort spent on traversing those murky swamps and dungeons. ;) Good fun.

ay thanks for the review! That accumulated score is def gon be something we'll add since personally i'd like those stats myself lol

It's like Mario but with a whole new world of physics, and so many entertaining details along the way. :) That everything can be moved about really adds a lot to the experience, though the main character movement seemed almost excessively fast at first, so responsive... takes some getting used to. I like the world, the levels, the small details like that guy getting consumed by darkness AAARGH, and the music has an uplifting comical tone, too. All in all seems like a thoroughly fun game, the only thing missing: medals. :) Would be a pleasure to play through it with a few of those to mark the process... great game.

The clouds having physics is definitely a personal fav of mine :) Thank you I'm glad you liked all the little details I added along the way to try bring the game to life.

The darkness consumes meeee arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

An interesting and working combination! Graphics, game play and all is pretty impressive. Small details like being able to just slightly move the camera around a bit, and character being separated from the background as to give it a three-dimensional look in the cutscenes... really gives it a good first impression, but once you jump into the game it's not all as obvious as you'd like. Tutorial could definitely elaborate a bit, but overall seems great. I like the hybrid concept.

Inateno responds:

Hi Cyberdevil,
Thanks for the positive feedback.

I'm glad you noticed all these small details ^^

I will indeed improve the tutorial, it's actually my biggest problem lol (even the online is easier to resolve).

Not sure how well a members-only app will fare here, considering users would expect being able to access content uploaded here. You're uploading this to NG, after all, if it's members only wouldn't it be better on a members-only site? No information regarding how user registration or information is handled either, so it really is closed entirely. Login screen looks good but... that's about it.

Well, I wanted it to be avaiable only to members of my facebook RP group.
Soon i'll make an open version for everyone.
It will look the same except there will be "OPEN" instead of "APP".

Think this might be the first Serious Sam game I see here. :) I like the functionality overall, though feels a bit limited. Would be cool if you could start a chain-reaction like in the real game if you blow up one bomber guy with others right beside, and if you actually had some visual aim when you shot, if Serious Sam moved, and most of all: if the screen was centered. Seems to be embedded at the wrong size? A highscore table would be neat, too! Good start but could use some polish.

Otherwise lots of props on the tribute! For a quick time waster it's pretty fun.

Thank you for your tips! If i update the game i will keep on my eyes on your comment! ;)

Not a bad start but... you could really use some more items! It does embed.

:D yusyus I am pleased. Now comes the part where I start cramming in other goodies.

A pretty clever and unique twist to the puzzle genre, with so many alternatives to keep you hooked, too! Daily quests and all. Any chance you might add medals to the game too? Nice work!

RealBeardroid responds:

Thanks for the review!
After discovering that I can use highscores (that are added), I discovered that I can use medals so I will definitevely add medals :)
