This was a bigger challenge than I thought it would be. I guess I could be more patient, but in trying to get to the colors while they're still on the edge of the screen, it's easy to make a mistake, unintentionally pressing the wrong button. 3 colors to toggle between was pretty easy, the fourth was still OK, but with a fifth one it got a bit challenging! The characters keep getting more complex and colorfulled as you go, and I don't know if I'm imagining it but it seems the speed increases as well. I thought it was painfully slow at the start, but it really wasn't. :) Great idea for a game, and good control!

Oh, thanks for great review. And yes, it's really speed increasing with time.
It was very hard for me balance game. What can be easy for me can be hard for others. Vice versa.
i can glad you that 5 colors is max value and you can think that you reach top of difficult (but not speed).
It's really cool when you know that you game interesting for players.

Haha, a hero is born! I like the idea, and I'm happy someone made a game about this guy, but the graphical quality leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, that barely looks like a couch, and how about some people? Some activity? Just because it's a joke game doesn't mean it has to be made in a jiffy. :P Keep it going!

Im in the process of adding new levels, so hold on!

After about an hour of gameplay, I still haven't picked up a single sapphire! Overall this is a fun game, but it feels like the gameplay is a bit flawed. The rare minerals seem to be way too hard to get, unless they become available only in the final mine (I didn't reach that one)? Buying coal and selling the smolten blocks is a time-consuming task when you're up in the hundreds, it would be nice with an option to either buy in bulk or type in the number of items you want to buy. The upgrades are a bit misleading, in how each upgrade increases your number. You wouldn't really be able to wear five golden armors, and swords, and axes. It took a while before I figured out that you could buy more than one of each, and that you don't need to save up ore to buy gold items since everything is an increase in the number anyway. Also, there should be some kind of warning before yu die, something more noticeable. It does say you should keep an eye on the health meter, but after a lot of digging the task gets so mundane it's easy to forget about. Overall though, this was a lot of fun. I was expecting something like Motherload but it turns out it was completely different. Hope this will be improved upon; I don't mind if save games are lost in the editing process. Seeing as their easy to lose now, by mistake, or by carelessness, it might not be that big a deal. Keep it going!

Thanks for commenting. I will release a patch very soon now, that makes dragonstone and sapphire more common, (along with alot of different stuff) I agree that it doesn't make sense to stack up on the same tools, but I think that's how the game is supposed to work. I could re-name everything so you would buy extra miners and guards. But meh.
My attempt on making the health noticable is to change the color on the health when it's getting low. I will add an extra warning.

Nice game. I like the ease with which you can skip cutscenes and dialog, and the easy tutorial that brings you right into the game. The interface is sleek, the graphics smooth and the game itself is a unique mix of strategy and action. Nice work!

Glad you enjoyed the tutorial and the game! Thank you :)

Wow, that was sad. It was a fun journey, but after all she's just a picture in a frame. Not sure what it's supposed to symbolize, someone you love that's died, unresponded love, that everything is hopeless? Either way it's an inspiring journey. Nice work!

Thanks, I just wanted to show how even how much he tries she is not there

Great game. I thought it would be a piece of cake at the beginning, but it gets harder and harder until finally, the last level was quite a challenge! When I finally managed to beat it, though, nothing happens. The police spawned within the floor between two levels, where I couldn't reach them. One dropped down on a column above a door. If I went up to the roof nothing happened, and if I jumped down I started over. Is that a bug or am I missing something? Otherwise this was a load of fun, looking forward to the sequel!

Hyptosis responds:

No, that was a bug! D: A terrible bug that never should have happened! D:<

This is beautiful. Just beautiful. The layout of the game, the images, the mythical story itself, bordering the bridge between fantasy and reality, the music, the images. Well I said that already but the imagery in this game is really something else. Haven't finished it yet but I think I'll take my time with it, this seems like one of those gems worth savoring and exploring every facet of. Thanks for a great game!

Many, many nice words. Thank you very much for it. It's a real pleasure for my Bro and me to hear that you like it. Thanks for playing!

This was a really unique idea for a game. Actually it's more like an infomercial on souls than a game, a venture through a world where each room just just a lesson in the human being. There are comedic elements but at the same time it's kind of a tragic concept, but still interesting to go through. There's actually a movie called '21 Grams' dealing with life and death issues, wonder if that inspired this one? I don't remember what it was about exactly but I do recall it being pretty emotional. So anyway, nice idea for an interactive conquest. The medals add a reward to the venture, too. Keep it up!

i watched 21 grams. its about how perspective of death changes the way we think and act. it's great movie but the original myth of 21 grams comes from some academic teacher who constructed a special scales attached to hospital bed. he then put people in terminal state on that bed-scale and waited for them to die. on average people loss 21 grams at the moment of death. you can probably read more about this on wikipedia.

thank you for your review. it really did lift my spirit as i had mixed feelings about the outcome.

Though this was more challenging than I'd like to admit, it was great fun! I like the idea, and the added dimensions really add a lot to the original game concept. The blocks are still the original shapes though, which brings some nostalgia into the gameplay, and it's a lot of fun. Great music, great controls, great everything. One thing I'm missing that would definately add to the game are shadows on the blocks. When you rotate the blocks, it's not always very noticeable and sometimes it's hard to know which way the block will rotate next. With shadows on the blocks I feel you'd always know which way it's facing, if you understand what I mean? Other than that this is just the perfect time waster, and I appreciate the medals especially, those are a great factor of reward. Nice work!

Thanks for your review, Cyberdevil :)

I'm really glad you appreciate the nostalgia of it too! While I'm probably not old enough to remember the first TETRIS rave, I still loved the game as a child. It has a certain spark to it that no other game has.

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by shadows. There's the ghost-piece which shows you were it's going to land, and that's pretty helpful. I think you're talking about something different though.

The medals were the only thing that was holding the game up for so long. Finally added them! :D

Thanks again :D

Well that was fun, both simple and challenging. Cutting the vegatbles seemed like a piece of cake at the beginning, but from the third level and upwards it wasn't so easy after all... and I still have a long way to go till level 8. The graphics are simple, controls smooth and both the medals and scoreboards are rewarding additions. Nice work!
