Now that was pretty creepy! I remember the pixel nightmares of previous years, and this duology (?) seems to follow suit! Love how the atmosphere just builds and builds, with pixel perfect artwork and 9 bit music in back. A masterful, macabre, game-like nightmare (imagine if it was in Flash too, all those interactive elements could really be interactive) that leaves you feeling pretty... hollow! Usually when it gets too visual the nightmare element seems to leave, but somehow these are all an exception to that rule, maybe it's how there's always an element of the unknown remaining, you never truly go through the door and figure everything out, and the hopelessness keeps creeping in. Awesome work!

thank you very much :) I'm very proud of this one and hope the next entry only improves!

Pretty good one this time, interesting tid-bits of the know! Wonder if that alien's been a frequent cameo all along btw, and I just happened to start watching this in the one episode he didn't appear, or if it's a new thing with all these recent ones? Appreciated eerie break and entertaining three tings! Good stuff.

haha thanks! This one had some mistakes cause I made it in my car. Was on a road trip. Yeah I want the alien to get up in there more. Maybe do some alien news :-O

It was shorter than I expected, but not bad! Well-animated. Atmospheric. Reminds me of Gone with the Blastwave, and Metro 2033, and all of these franchises that seem to make the gas mask their image. Good stuff.

thanks :) yeah its just my cut from a 2 minute short , was orginally 20 seconds long for better dramatic effect but my team wanted 7 to 8 seconds so had to make a more jaring and abrubt style of editing unfortunately, but couldnt really argue because of the brief for the project is 2 minutes. will probably upload the full short animatic once it is done, however i will have to re-edit it myself because there will be copyright music used. our animatic is part of a uni coursework project and we are being marked on our contribution to the team

The 4chan and meme references are partially lost on me, but that fight... holy shit man! So awesome. So smooth. So creatively crazy and collectively chaotic. It just gets better and better and better until post-apocalyptic proportions are reached!!! Awesome work!

Adding in the comparison at the end was a cool choice too, though their not being entirely synced makes it a bit hard to compare them side by side, might have been better to just include the old animation, in full format? Since the new is already fresh in memory.

Anyway, amazing work! Can't wait to see what your skills will be like in another ten years. ;)

NCH responds:

its not sync cause the timing of the original does not fit to my new animation technics, after I start to learn how to pace-out my animation and giving some breathing/hang time on my frames, thats why they don't sync up with each other in the comparison video.

Feels a bit reminiscent of yesterday, this one. :) Nother good alien cameo and dose of news!

Yeah I am thinking about having Shing Fla co-host and have more wacky stuff haha. Just gotta' figure out how.

Up until the end I really liked how the atmosphere kept building, and getting scarier and scarier... but when the monsters appear part of that atmosphere dies down. When the unknown becomes visual... it's just not unknown. I hoped it would end with something not all too revealing and keep that vibe, but though it's a nice twist after that I think the monsters ruined it a bit, overall though very well-made! Sound is top quality too.

Thanks!

Another good one! Alien cameo was an entertaining little tidbit, well-animated, though the overall topics didn't seem to have so much with news and knowledge this time as with sports! As for those sound effects, maybe Sound Dogs would be worth checking out? They have a LOT. Keep up the good work!

threebrain responds:

Tanks! I will check them out. Haha yeah slow news day, but tomorrow holy smokes!

Finally decided to watch a part of this thing that's been so prevalent in the portal lately... and good thing I did! I don't read much news, but this seems like a good way to take in what little interesting tidbits of such stuff's going on these days. The laughter/applause isn't really sitcom standard, nor the graphics, and the jokes now all hilarious, but all in all it's an entertaining way of presenting this stuff! Good way to start the day. Think I'll tune in more often.

Tanks! yeah I need to find better sounds. I dunno where to look. The Newgrounds Audio Portal is great for like techno or action music but I dunno about for sound effects. Yeah I hope to get it better and improve the art and stuff over time. Didn't want to over-analysis-paralysis it to death. Decided to just put the shit up and evolve it over time :-O

Lots of variation; creative approaches to the Halloween theme! Nice work all!
