A pleasant first episode. :) Nice one, though the magic carpet trip took some time... would be nice being able to skip cutscenes like that, at least after the first time.

If only this didn't have those missiles from the side too. :/ They really don't leave you much time to get away from if you're not prepared for those, feels like it might be a bit more balanced without. Such a long way to the bottom... fun idea but that final medal feels like a stretch.

In hindsight I could have added a quick flasher or something that gave half a second notice of when they missiles would come on screen.
I was like 16 gimme a break haha
Finally made it through. :) Really took a few tries, but I feel like this kind of direction-based gameplay is just perfect for me, was challenging but not impossible to the point that some other reaction-based games are. And such an unorthodox idea! Love it. So different.

Thanks a lot for the review!! :)
Since you can keep on playing even after the crown it really feels like some sort of highscore table would've been great here. :)
Good fun though. It may be buggy: you might spawn in the floor occasionally, or freeze when trying to jump over a fireball, and when the items start increasing in number their dynamics seem to wonk up too, but it's good fun at the same time. Challenge increases as the upgrades do, but it doesn't take too long to get through it either. Not bad.
Interesting balance also in how getting hit with rocks is actually to your benefit with regard to speed and size... so you can balance your life and damage to stay agile.

Went through everything looking for the medal and when all else fails: found it. XD
Didn't realize you'd been working with interfaces this long... this was really cool. Smooth control and presentation, though maybe longer text comes across as a bit TLDR without more spacing between/around paragraphs. Nice work though. Interfaces like this were fun back in the day, could have an entire site within a file like this. Wish Flash could still be a thing...

Thanks. It's been a few years since the last time I do things in ActionScript, or Flash in general. Looking back into this flash, it's as you said. I should have at least add one more line break between the paragraphs. It hogs up too much CPU also.
I'm currently looking into Godot and going to use it for HTML5 games (and web pages if things go well). I code in C# and it still isn't fully supported in Godot.
Would've really been easier with a wider format when you're playing this by computer, but great fun as always otherwise. Movie buff as I am I recognize most of these too... even more entertaining to see the twists then. Good stuff.

Simple but thorough fun! Varied levels, increasingly challenging design, some tricky twists as you progress... the only bug I ran into is really how the character sometimes seems to be stuck in place when you start a new level, but clicking the canvas or restarting always fixes that, so no biggie. Everything else is great. Challenge level just right. Nice work.

So the orbs are back! Glad the count isn't exact too, so it doesn't matter if you miss one or two, though you wonder what the real total is when the exact number isn't required to buy the products hmm... might still be missing a few.
Definitely appreciate the added detail with these ones, though it's refreshing with a bit more simple fun between them.

Another good one! Not the most refreshing scenery in the sewer, but still that balanced set of skill requirements and puzzle... some of those wall panels really don't stand out by themselves though. Seem to require a lot of random clicking to find.

Atmospheric locales as always! Not too short, not too spooky... pretty much your average asylum adventure.
I miss the gathering aspect with some of these earlier games, but it's definitely quicker to complete like this...
