The game of dreams. :) I love the ambiguity of how this starts and ends, how you could see her as journeying into the actual game, or simply having a great time with it, or drifting into the dream world and living the game there... the worlds mesh and come together, all in such a fluent yet minimlistic pixel trip with accompanying musical chiptune bit.

I feel like more layers to the music would've enhanced it even more, and the backgrounds weren't all the most detailed, but it was a fun ride. Honorable Pixel Day homage. Nice work.

yeah Im not the best musician, but like with the raddish i just made whatever felt... like something, idk. More time in the music might have been time well spent though.
and yeah, backgrounds are noooot my strongsuit. You can deffinately see that in my last pixel day entry as well....though i think the first raddish one was pretty decent somehow.

It ALMOST loops! Would've been just perfect if it did. Overall though it was a surprisingly relaxing and comfortable thing. The rainy day aspect of it all somehow comes across in the music too... so suitable.

I wonder how it would've been with a little background rain. A window. Or the sound of raindrops pelting on the roof along with it. But: not a bad jam man.

Almost added rain sfx and now I wish I did haha

Voices really bring this to the next level! :) Nice work PixieWillow too. Beautiful, sensual, easily loopable bondage material... very nice.

Aster-Effect responds:

loopable bondage material? ^^;
yeah, also thank you very much as always
and glad you enjoy it ;3

What a way to kickstart the New Year. :) With another war IRL but over here also: controversy!!! I felt like... there almost wasn't enough of that though. Remember one of the recent episodes and the delight of those jokes going way past where I expected they would. But anyway, good fun, and still strange with those babies...

Wonder if these podcasts might make their way to NG in audio form too? Not that they're so long you can't listen in online, but it'd be cool with the option to download and have 'em all on the go. Maybe that's something you're hoping to avoid though. Downloads.

The podcast version is out now on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Soundcloud... The podcast versions even have stuff we left out of the cartoons.

Interesting way to frame in the speedpaint! Definitely adds an aesthetic to it, and I'm curious what program that is you're using? Not bad.

Thanks! I figured since the capture itself is such an awkward and small shape it needed something to provide the illusion that it isn't surrounded by void haha.

I used the Autodesk Sketchbook app (I also use the PC version of it to draw and animate).

Not too many really realize both of their two childhood dreams like this though! That's pretty rad. And you really could draw even back then, good contexts or no, sounds like a fun time. And damn Scott Pilgrim cameo too! :D Congrats!

I remember Gone With The Blastwave fondly, and some of them others. Was heavy into VG Cats and similar ones too (the author there recently went on to draw porn). White Ninja occasionally (that one started writing movie reviews a while then disappeared entirely). Somehow I moved into XKCD with time and that's the only thing I read now. Weekly.

The wave might have died down but maybe it's just that a few gained such a big following that they carry most of the interest these days? And other mediums keep the spotlight.

Also what about being a real Manga-ka, man! There's not a single manga here. Does this really qualify? Does this really befit the title?! I thought you might've transcended into a whole new style towards the end of this, but there be just the minor glimpses... I know manga generally implies comics as a whole, but at the same time I feel it's inherently tied to a different kind of culture, and western comics/those ones still all but on the same playing field. Maybe it's in the art, maybe the humor, maybe in the breakneck schedules and commitment that have these dudes working 360 days a year and barely even sleeping. Crazy world...

Anyway: this was fun. I'm glad you're doing this stuff. I'm glad you forgot the login on that ancient comic that is now possibly preserved for all eternity on a more forgotten bastion of the great net, and if you ever decide to quit this creative journey here, and maybe even ponder purging your archives... I sincerely hope you forget the login info here as well so we may enjoy them for all times to come, from generation to generation. ;)

All the best.

Raziberry responds:

Aw that was lovely, thank you!
I said "manga-ka" cause it makes a better title better than "comic book creator", and while my comics were hardly manga, there was a serious weebiness to them.
At this point, I'd never want to remove any of my old (or current) work. I now prefer the idea of it living on for any poor sucker than comes along and happens to enjoy it.
Thanks again for the kind words!

More like a brofist than a battle. XD But not bad... the stick figure forms shifting into real ones was unexpected... imagine this transforming into a real all-out battle too. Good start.

thanx :)

A New Year New Me to showcase a truly new animation style? It's a bit short but special occasion too so... aight, I can dig it. Happy New Year stevetheanimator!

2020 does seem like a pretty big thing.

stevetherapper responds:

This is one of the only times I’m using this style. It’s just a short animation I did in 15 minutes for the new years. 2020 actually is a pretty big thing for me.

Thanks for the feedback. Happy New Year, Cyberdevil!

P.S. I’m working on a new series called Steve’s Life. Currently working on Episode 1, and have a minute and a half of it done. I think you’ll find it kinda funny!

These rabbits always getting eaten by the most unexpected inanimate items. XD It's almost becoming a tradition at this point... love it though! The music, the full on color and seasonal sprit with this one too, well-made as always. Looking forward to what the New Year might bring too! Happy 2020!

VolFMaple responds:

Thank you!
Happy new year!

So by giving to the poor we get back, and by being poor and giving to the poor you basically give to yourself, so the lesson this ghost of Christmas present is here to reach us about is... money laundering?

Definitely was a different take on that classic Carol! Good stuff, and nice work on that ambient character movement too, they never really stand still and just speak here.

May the season be very merry regardless of monetary donation pressure and possible conscience related seasonal mishaps! Happy Christmas!

Bobert-Rob responds:

Haha, yeah basically. Scrooge probably would be good for organized crime if he wasn't so damn one dimensional about it. Well, my version of Scrooge anyway.

Hope your holiday was a festive one. Cheers!
