Well that was savage. XD What an unexpected switch-up... and I love how present the character seems all the time. People turn their heads. The teach speaks. The world feels alive, not just centered around the one thing. Twist definitely surprised, too! Nicely done. Smooth animation, and what a mass of voice actors! Curious if there's just a few very talented ones here or if there really are as many as there seem to be? Nice work.

Glad you enjoyed! There were 7 people total in that scene, a few of us doing multiple voices, which I layered like mad. Thanks for your comment!

No imaginary animals were harmed in the making of this right. XD Trippy trip, packed with harmless carnage. Overall just a long and fun ride... maybe a bit too long, actually, even if the pace is alright!

Axelstation responds:

They were not harmed :P Despite the length, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Something about that audience... the faces all look alike to me. :P Apart from som stiff motion, and lights that don't really follow the music but just keep flashing according to a set animation this was pretty good. The animation pans and varies plenty, but it never feels like it's really following the 'music' though. Not lights, nor characters, or the artists... they kind of don't sync. Think that bit could be improved a bit! Otherwise impressive work.

Thank you:)

When it appears it just kinda stands there for a bit before the pounce but... it does look pretty creepy! Nice work building things up, and with the music too, though I feel it could've been paced a bit more, and glimpsed a bit more before it really appears. It's just one long hall and one loooong corner and then, there it is. But not bad.

I know what you mean! Next time. :)

A spacey music video. :) You really got that dance motion down smooth, and the ever-shifting character in the middle... simple but entertaining little twist. Space moving in the background all the way through... pretty cool!

therwiganimation responds:

thanks man, i appreciate that

Even with all those power-ups it somehow didn't seem like Knuckles would ever possible lose. :) Nice battle otherwise though! Varied, powerful and packed with punches. Nice work.

Thanks

Not bad! XD That ending too... the stick figure motions didn't always seem that natural, from a gravity-based perspective, but otherwise good fun! The voicing's just perfect too. Just like an old Kung Fu dub.

Thanks i had fun making it lol. i think i needed more flow but at the time of making it I didnt really know what it was (made it a few weeks ago). thanks for the feedback I will try and improve next time :-)

I really like the drawing style here, so bright and cozy! Really came across just like it did in the comic. The only thing that feels off is the walking motion, which doesn't really move her as far forward as she seems to step... and the panning motion that partially skewed the screen was a bit odd. Apart from that quite enjoyable! Short but good.

straberrykiler6789 responds:

Yeah FlameAdder pointed out she looked like a marionette and i focused on the shoes in my upcoming animation.

my first attempts at her walk cycle just didn't look right so i just experimented a lot.
the panning was mainly a last minuet thing.

i have seen lots of computer animation designed to look like traditional one of the things that shattered the illusion were obvious motion tweens.
if you see that you can tell its computer animation, so i decided to avoid motion tweens for the majority of this i made exceptions in a few places going to avoid movieclips and motion tweens except for guidance/reference in the next

Been too long since the last friendly reminder that reminded in such a friendly way! :D How such fine artistry could class as spam is baffling though. Keep doing what you do CC. Great stuff.

Hey you even got DOOM in there! :D Impressive recreation of all those old classics, and I think there's only one I didn't recognize (the one with the platforms and the lone creature with the big jaw opening?). The animation's great, so much detail in certain scenes too, though the music, albeit pompous, doesn't really seem to fit. It also just fades in and out a bit plainly, no intro or outro or hint that it might be over soon... and most of all: the name. It doesn't seem to do this justice! I guess CDN might stand for something else than Content Delivery Network, but misleading acronym set aside the main thing's a bit generic. How about something like Retro Games Showcase? Nostalgia Games? Something that really speaks about what it is, and the request in the description.

Phew, long comment... but I feel like this has potential to really stand out more! The animation's great otherwise, just some presentational aspects that are lacking. Keep it going!

Glad you enjoyed it! You're right the title should be something along the lines of "Retro Games" but we already did that in another video and this one wasn't originally planned. We were supposed to try four videos with four unique styles to gather feedback and see what works for us best and then sort of leave until we got better at it (we're super new to animation). This one is similar to one of the four titled "Retro Games" (the video where people actually asked for more) and it serves as a temporary goodbye until we return with something more complete and impressive. As for the simplicity of the format, for now we just wanted to focus on how people reacted to the animation style and not our storytelling. There will come a time though where we'll upload a full story with proper intro graphics, longer length and everything. Someone might agree that we shouldn't publish anything yet at this stage because we're still noobs but if you let people in your proccess and your practice you get stronger feedback and the final work becomes all the better for it. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!
