Shame the menu links in menu don't link to NG, since it's displayed here, but I suppose it would be a pain to remake the menu for each site it's posted on. The game itself is awesome. A mixture between simple characters, almost silhouette-like, and atmospheric backgrounds. There are plenty of cutscenes to weave a story into the game, and the game itself is easy to play. Just point at click. The different locations are just static though, there's life in each one of them, and the music is by Hania! What more could you ask for. It just fits right in, too. Great work!

Thanks for the great review :) I just submitted an updated version of the game that links to the NG locations for Myosotis Chapter 1 and Myosotis Chapter 2. I think Tom just needs to approve it. Thanks again for the wonderful review

This is pretty cool. A game where you control a block like this through somekind of threedimensional maze would be awesome. Bit trippy controls though, would've been easier if they were all close to each other, like the three keyrows to the left, maybe? Anyhow, nice coding!

Thanks dude! Actually i originally got my inspiration from your 3D cube thing! I was so impressed when I saw it, and I was like WHOA, IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE TO DO IN ACTIONSCRIPT 2.0?! Then I just had to figure out how to do it on my own! :D
Thanks for the review! You rock! <3

Nice. I like the crispy pixel game design. It doesn't look very spooky in itself, but the music conveys the notion well. Interface is nice and simple, as are the controls. Save feature is much appreciated, and so is the walkthrough. Looks like this game is complete from the start. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, really appreciate it :)

Aw, missed three days. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the secret medal was getting all the medals, heh, but I was still kind of expecting something a bit more spectacular for the 24th.. I mean, not just 5 points!! Otherwise this is a great idea, and there's a bunch of creative to sweep through. The interface is simple and nicly designed too, with more features than you'd expect or need. Looking forward to next year! merry Christmas!

Who said the calendar finished on the 24th? ;)
Merry Christmas, fella.

Nice! It's been ages since I played a word search, and with medals especially this was a lot of fun. In difference from many other games it's one that anyone can complete, no matter how good they are, they just need to spend enough time on it. :) The intro animation was fun, though your animation doesn't seem as great as your coding. ;) The script works great, the three difficulty modes are just challenging enough too. Easy was easy, normal was a challenge, and I'll play hard later when I have time, it'll probably take a while. In two levels two of the words were found on two locations, and the duplicates could not be clicked, but it's nothing that really affects gameplay. Music was ambient and the layout simple. Only annoying thing was Santa popping up all the time in easy mode, blocking the words. Maybe he could pop up only when you complete a level? Or let out a Ho Ho Ho! instead of appearing? Anyway, lotta fun, keep up the good work!

I'm Happy of you enjoy it ;)

Just thought I'd play a bit. A couple hours later I've managed to collect three stars on all levels and play a bit past the hundred in endless mode. Addicting! The upgrade system works wonders, along with the slot game and in-game awards. It's a simple concept but a lot of fun to play, with varied special effects and explosions and stuff. Looking forward to the next one!

Many thanks for playing!

Woohoo!

It has my song in it (dedication)! Haha, I love that. As for the flash itself, good, but pretty monotone. The pixel graphics are great, the devil is detailed, the controls work fine, but even when spraying bullets eternaly you don't seem to get anywhere. The boss attacks are varied, but it still leaves something to be desired. Some spawning demons? Explosions? Different boss phases? Idk, but it nees something more, keep it going!

ItsTheAshtray responds:

Awesome! I'm glad you liked it. It really does feel like its missing some variety, but in the end, I just ran out of time.

Been lookinf forward to this!

Read about it at the forums, would have participated if more time existed on my hands, it turned out as a very neat collab indeed, not too big a filesize, but a nice and detailed pictoral display in it, the summaries for all characters were nice too, though it would have been even better if the icons actually linked somewhere. Keep it going!

Thanks-you should have joined.

The links work fine?

I have these problems all the time, it must be the PC you're using, coz mine works and much more other people I know works.

Thank you :)

Great!

A nice step upwards from the very first version, good features added, nice simple layout and lots of music init as well. Why the skip of version 2 though? Must've been a big change between those version numbers as well, keep it up!

V1 was done via Ajax and HTML, very old.
V2 was the first one that was Flash, and submitable to Newgrounds!
Hence, this is V3! :P

lmao

Despite the crappy textureless level designs, this whole game was actually pretty nice, longass line of text to read while the game was loaded, and after it had been loaded, so plenty of effort just in the humor there. The background music was nice, the movement was surprisingly smooth and the levels were all varied as well. Would probably have been even more fun with great graphics to go with it, but it was a nice change from the regular perfection. Happy I got them pancakes and waffles back now, keep up the good work!

Hey thanks for your review cyber. ;)

I think this game is the start to my career... and I am making a game with an actual graphics artist. :P
