Very cool this one... it reminds me of JRPG games I grew up on, like Golden Sun or Breath of Fire... the atmosphere's there from the start, but it builds nicely along the way too...

It doesn't feel quite as dark to me in audio as the description seems to portray it, more so adventurous, exciting, a quest, a mystery, a journey... not necessarily straight up purgatory!

Love the sound anyhow, it's tense but also pleasantly atmospheric. :) I think the little whistle sounds contribute to that impression too...

Thank you for your comment, to be honest you're pretty right, did what I could to make a solid description but the music is probably one of my most atmospheric ones x)

And also, thanks for your endless support from the moment you found my profile, it is awesome to see someone likes my songs, whatever the other songs it can be compared to :)

Man this takes me back to the F-Zero type racing games I grew up with... love the style.

Composition may not be as impeccable or complex as your 2.5 hour ones, like The Freeze (or wait that was my name, I mean, wait was there another name...) for example, but still solid man! Just the fact that you made this in a mere hour is crazy impressive really. Hope you recoup some sleep tomorrow!

I didn't even realize the second half was the first half duplicated btw, that in part definitely explains the production speed. XD

Killing it here too, low on time or no you're still dope on atmosphere and flow!!! Love dnb too.

I haven't been naming them, but I'm beginning to wonder if that was a mistake lol.

I'm glad you liked it! It was very rushed but it might be worth revisiting after the dailies are over :)

This starts so gritty and good, ominous, rough and energizing and then... suddenly devolves into a slow but funky wonky wondrous kind of rhythmical trip with unpredictable and jumpy dips chops rhythms yet hella rich bass and kicks... it's almost like this is a personal challenge hmm, is it? Can I rap to this? XD The creative flare's there but tempo and rhythm's... unconventional!

I'm honored though! Shall keep spitting fo shizzle - be it to this or some of your other beats, and you keep doing you good dude! The work you make always manifests in the most creative and at times crazy ways, yet always with a killer groove that just breaks your face, they're a gift to the word man! :)

<3!

Father-of-Death responds:

thank you!!! :)

Yea this beat is very odd would be weird to rap to but wanted to make something in honor of ya bro!

Tearout huh, a mix between riddim death step and dubstep... I'm learning new things here.

For the first half minute or so I was starting to think I might have to rap on this one too, such a good build, atmospheric, rythmic and ominous... but then ehh. XD

I wonder if I've ever run into more than 1 of the aforementioned four genres earlier myself... this is new to me. May take some time to appreciate. The genre definitely suits the season, and the sound design's hella elaborate here, if a bit repetitive in beat beyond the screams and all. Not as huge a fan of this style (yet) but who knows, maybe in time...

Props on trying new things man. Composition/mix = solid! πŸ‘βœ¨

It's definitely an acquired taste! Real tearout artists have sound design so dense and crazy, I crank that shit UP even though it's basically just a tinnitus giver xD

Here is some tearout by some real artists lol:

shit goes so hard *^* I played some at work once and my manager told me it made her want to kill herself lmfao

A whole album for Halloween, both the sounds and the stories, an air of eerie and spooky-faring soundscapes that both sooth and pursue you...

This is amazing man. A grand compendium for the season of seasons this year. Very nice work!

Thank you! I hope you have a lovely month :)

lmao! XD Momentarily it'd be just perfect really but then that BPM just goes haywire!

At a certain tempo this really reminds me of some ParagonX9 track btw... cool stuff.

its 2:30am i was gana go to sleep but fuck it ill try to make something again... 3..2..1... HERE I GO!

Woo this was a good one too! Rich sound. Many layers. Seems like you're stepping up composition and production complexity overall here, although structure's maybe simpler; more rtythmic than say the first one this sounds big man, like something WaterFlame could've done for one, drips and drops and all kinds of pleasing little bits and bobs in the audio (chime and kero samples huh XD) too... that worked great. I like the icy/ambient/watery feel of it all.

Bit sudden fade and all, if this wasn't a Tunetober thing I reckon you'd have built further but NICE!!! Still feels complete. And so clean. And different from what I typically hear from you.

Really impressive for a daily.

larrynachos responds:

Thanks CD! I think this one I will turn into a real song once tubetober is over :)

Funky! :D Vocals fit in so well too, nice voice chops, good vibes, catchy beat in the background...

Just gets better and better towards the end too. Never dulls. Good stuff.

preciate it man

all i did was some of the voice lines lmaoo

SkittleWaffle responds:

heck yeah dude thanks

Man this was solid!!! Good rhymes, good flow, great switch up on the lady line, good disses, though as for the recording itself the volume wavers a bit when the bass comes in, wonder if you might've recorded vocals with the instrumental playing in the background; the bass takes over when it kicks in? If so you probably could up the quality significantly if you just listen to the beat via headphones and layer it in after recording. If that's not how you did this maybe it's a mix thing. Curious what kind of equipment you're using here?

Dope work. A little improvement on the production side and this is professional level stuff for real. :)

stevetherapper responds:

Appreciate it cd, this was fun as hell to make.

As for the volume levels and recording equipment, I literally used my headphones to record the vocals lmao. When recording I js had the volume really low, high enough to hear the beat progression, but low enough so that the beat isn’t heard in the recorded product. If anything, I probably made the bass too loud. Thanks for the review though, and welcome back!

Was considering trying to actually rap something over this one but... nah, maybe not this one. XD

It is crazy!!! Very cool though. Crazy energy and a calm bit for the middle... unique and magnifique man.
