So much awesome music to discover here. I wonder how you go about making these? Random listening, intentional seeking, favorites a peeping?

Wholesome session here. Closest we've had to a real RadioGrounds alternative in a while now.

Thanks Cyberdevil! I go through the Audio Portal as often as I can and find what tracks stand out to me, then try to string them together into a somewhat cohesive playlist. I'm glad you enjoy it! :D

Straight back to the eighties! :D With a hint of spacey and strange to go with it... reminds me a bit of classics like 'You Take My Self Control' and... I can't remember any others but feels like that era. :) I love the style, and nostalgia, and spacey vibe of it all... hypnotic kind of synth too.

The kick around 1:35 stands out a bit strangely to me, but apart from that this is awesome. Feels like maybe it could've shifted a bit, changed pace or pattern or in some other way morphed a bit along the way - would've gone well with the space theme - in the end I feel like it's missing something. Maybe vocals...? Though maybe that'd break the theme too. Hmm. Would love to hear this in a soundtrack though either way. Imagine this in any kind of space/action/sci-fi thing. Great work.

SuperCat904 responds:

Thank you. In fact, I also think that something is missing. But I don't know what. My next work will be in the same cosmic style. But thanks for the advice! I will try to add a lot more to the next work!

Heard this via the Retro Collab, and what a perfect part it played there too. :) Apparently made for a game as well hmm, further research seems to be required... great work.

Seems all the more impressive that it's all from scratch too. In this sample-heavy age of the now.

Kingbastard responds:

Thank you for the comment. It wasn't made for a game, but was used by a game-maker here on NG as background music to their game of the same name, Boxclever.

Always been a "from scratch" kinda guy;) I never liked using samples of any sort. Sure, I've used the odd thing here and there over the years, but primarily my ethos is DYI.

Thanks again.

If y'all really got serious with this I can imagine it actually going places! XD Got potential! Fun to listen to, but just imagine this with perfect harmonies and all, damn... but wait I guess that maybe wouldn't be all as Simpable...

Fro responds:

I could see why to an untrained ear this doesn't sound like perfect harmonies. Luckily our screaming fans say otherwise.

This turned out so good! :D Foreboding in an epic kind of way... a long build but never montone either, those orchestral elements are really all over the place, impressive attention to detail along the way. It's like you constantly expect something to jump up on you as you listen to this...

The way it speeds up and trickles away a bit at the end too... just perfect. Title too. ;)

ChordC responds:

Yeah, that's my thing, I don't like monotonous things, especially in music. I always make each segment different and interesting, just like in this piece, appreciate you coming here :)

Almost getting some Folk and Country vibes with this one. :) Festive and bright and suitable for the season for sure! Merry Christmas!

Vista-Sound13 responds:

That's amazing! I am glad you liked this track! Thank you, buddy and Merry Christmas!

Foreboding and vibrant... I love the style! Getting some Resident Evil-like vibes too, eerie in a good kind of way, a suspense that builds thoroughly, and when it goes full orchestral towards the end: woah... masterful work here. Maybe not as eerie an ending but: pompous! For the right scene this'd be perfect. Something really going on there...

ChordC responds:

Appreciate the feedback, I guess I can tweak this when the scene is finished, we'll see.

Well this was definitely different! :D Was expecting to go all punk rock for a moment after the intro but it took a totally industrial tone instead allofa sudden... title fits well, but definitely not your conventional Holiday kind of music! I mean I can't really imagine playing this over a Christmas dinner/party/present-opening kinda event. XD Or whilst attempting to just get into the seasonal spirit/feel the winter and all, even if the elements do be there.

Maybe a bit like a Santa's workshop type thing though... intriguing mix; props on the idea! It's definitely fun to listen to regardless.

GoodL responds:

Thank you so much, cd! I'm glad you found it interesting :)

This is just radiating chillness and wintery Christmas spirit. :) Really cool.
