That percussion boom in the background almost comes across as an unintentional clipping/artifact, but otherwise not bad...

Feels like the melody could maybe be a bit more streamlined, it doesn't immediately feel recognizable and catchy, but flows well. I like the style.

Keep it up!

Thanks for this review too!! Definitely agree with you on this. I plan to revisit it as I work on my games, I’d like to eventually create a catchy tune I can use for most of my animated intros, this being version 1.0 definitely will put your feedback into practice when V2 comes along. šŸ™šŸ™

Clare can really sing! :) Seems like that's not just the mastering either! Seems the soundcloud link's not working anymore here either though... wonder if she's still making music? Somewhere else? Do you still collaborate; keep in touch? Nice work on this one.

Jabun responds:

Ah yeah she is super talented! I guess she must've taken down her account (SC's certainly not the platform it used to be).

I've not seen or heard from here her since 2016 I think, but I'm sure she's still in the music business in some form? Different circles, break-ups between friends and life goes on and all that jazz, so no hard feelings or anything (I was mainly hanging with her when I was in Lights, Camera, Attraction!, which I left in 2014). Still look back at this collab with fond memories :) Thanks for the praise!

Sounds like eighties type pop right here. :) Though maybe a little airier/fresher than it was back then... if that's even possible... does this loop btw, seamlessly? Seems like it might, just can't know for sure via the NG player... nice work on that too if so. If no I wouldn't have minded a bit more build/variation/length to it all.

Love this vibe.

Thanks so much for your review! Yes it does loop nicely perhaps it needs a trim. Ill double-check!

Working with almost psychedelic layers in the middle there. :) It's not a bad start! A little more calculated melodies maybe, a bit more layers/reverb/atmosphere.... can see this going places!

Thanks! I apprechiate that! I should get back into music making, but for now I'm more into animation

I like the mood, but gets a little heavy on the monotone after a while... doesn't feel like it's building towards anything, just going going going, fading... but maybe that's the point huh.

I can see this being used for something where it'd fit just perfectly, but as is: feels a little long. Good to see you still making stuff though!

TheMadWasp responds:

This was made to be background music for a video so that's probably why it comes across as long and not building to anything.

That wavy synth at the start has me thinking of Night of the Living Dead. :) Or Gorillaz M1A1... which coincidentally was heavily inspired by Night of the Living Dead. XD

It really changes after that though, becomes all the more orchestral, while still retaining that iconic foundation...

The sound design's impressive, the clarity's impressive, the atmosphere keeps building... gonna be pretty amazing to hear this in the series! So vibrant. So clear. and indeed: so eerie.

Both are great songs :D, thank you for the detailed review :).

Just another piece that I tried to make as interesting as possible, thanks for coming here ;)
