It's pretty catchy this one! Solid beat in back too. Reminds me a little of Cave Story...

Thanks, dude. It's been awhile since I've made this but what I remember about it was that it was loosely based off of Super Mario Land's ending theme. I really like the "You did it!" vibe.
You do miss a few beats here and there here but it's not a bad start. :) I like the melody/piano. Good energy. A little more consistent beat and it'd be something to groove to!
Also a little short, but it builds up well. Feels like could be a WIP.

Hey someone finally gave me constructive criticism on my song!
In all seriousness thanks for the review. The reason for its slightly inconsistent beat is because I was actually manually playing the piano and the drums in separate projects, and then merged the audio clips together with a VIDEO editing software, and then turned it into an mp3. Probably coulda looped the instrument recordings, but what do I know, Iβm not a professional music producer.
And here with the lyrics too! :) This really was on a different tier than the regular somehow. I wonder if there's an element that comes with the intention itself or if it's just undergone an insane amount of polish to feel this wholesome, details like that impressively well integrated guitar solo towards the end, that subtle melody in the backround that I can't really separate enough from the rest of the track to ascertain the instrument behind, the brass of course, the harmonies... awesome work on this! So rich and vibrant. Hard to pinpoint where the perfection lies. It starts off right away too, no lost time anywhere along the way.

Cheers CD! Interestingly, I have a policy when giving musical gifts to not use any pitch or elasic-audio timing correction (chops are fine), so there's actually zero of that in here (I use it occasional for small fixes in my own and client work when needed, but certainly try not to overuse it)! There is an unashamed about of chopping up takes to find the best bits though, and man oh man was it difficult to record this during these pandemic times when Eva was in the house most of the time! SOOO much planning!!! XD I think the intention does give it something extra, but I'm super pleased with the production and performance on it too. Really does feel like my best work so far IMO. Happy you enjoyed it too!
Sounds like a challenging combo! XD
But so impressive you just shift between that tone and your (I assume) regular voice throughout this, could've thought the whole thing was pitch-shifted otherwise, such a contrast.
Fun stuff.

Ahaha, thank you. Itβs definitely an interesting combo and I did manage to get it done afterwards. I find it amusing watching back on my pitch and accent shift.
This is so thorough! A minute in I can't believe it's been just a minute. So much, and so solid everything. The more you play this the more fired up you get too! Awesome; motivating work.

Thanks! I wanted to really build it up more and more haha :D
The new really was more vibrant, but still, there's almost an additional layer of peace with this one when it comes to the pace, a nice kind of slow if that's what you're looking for... and the melody's still there. Never off note. Drags on a bit at the end maybe...
Really impressive for a first.

Thanks again! Ay yeah, that's the thing this original version I can't seem to replicate to the new one. The soft reverb on oboes and the chimes in the beginning makes it more peaceful
This was beautiful... so meditative.
Feeling a little stressed out occasionally lately, and I think I might just bookmark this particular piece as therapy; make it a morning ritual to ease up expectations of the day a bit. Curious if you use your music any similar way? Feels like it could've made with some such intent.
Good stuff. Rich and vibrant quality-wise too.

oh thank you <3 I'm glad my music got you feeling better. I originally made music for my meditative purposes, but this song wasn't one of them and this suddenly whispered in my mind when I was looking at a beautiful dusk at a car ride and began writing notes when I got home. My older music I made at junior high/middle school are made for me to meditate, and I made them during rainy season which makes it 1000% better. I have them uploaded:

Nowadays I make uplifting trance, which doesnt stray away from my original style.
Didn't I review this one earlier hmm? Feels like I've heard it already. If I haven't it sure sounds familiar...
If I have: still awesome! So upbeat and high energy. A little much going on at the same time sometimes but it's a trip too. Love the style.

It's the same with the previous one you reviewed, but that one was mixed for another contest
Beautiful. :) Feels like the first aaaaa faded a bit abruptly, and maybe the second bit could've trailed on longer too, but the bits that matter are magical... appreciable orchestral beat towards the end as well. Would be cool to see this used for some majestic animation.
-cd-
i'm hoping someone wants to use it in a movie or game myself!!! thanks for the review :D
Got some ASMR-like stuff going on with the keyboard-like clickery in the background for the first bit... really smooth ambience overall, shifts nicely, doesn't always move the way you expect it to. I love the shift around 1:45 in particular. So radiant. Tune that soothes and moves your mind...
