Well that was pretty entertaining. XD Smooth sketch, and an intro twist that gets you intrigued right away... nice one.

Hehe! Thank you! :D
Well that was random! Sounds almost like a Game Grumps sketch, like something snatched out from an unrelated sketch and then appended animation... is it? Doesn't seem like there's any reference to such a thing in the description though... overall a random but entertaining animation, though out of context not always all that fun. Some good moments though!
-cd-
Yep That's pretty much what it is,sorry I probably should have made that more clear but yeah it's from an English Youtuber called "Memeulous" who asked me to animate some of the best parts from his club penguin series with his friend "Joshy". Heres the first video from the animation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbUav-uF5do&t=22s
So this was made back in... 1846? :P Entertaining short, though when that cat pops up at the end there the Gnome seems somewhat surprised... like he's not sure if he can take on the cat or not, like he wonders if the cat had any part on his purgatory, like he doesn't know into which world he just entered... trying to figure out what his expression tells, but considering he just went through hell maybe any fraction would be a natural reaction! Love the idea, and the fluent movement with the animation too. Mood builds up nicely.
-cd-
The original story was that the garden cats had created this purgatory for him. However as we ran out of time before our hand in at university, that last shot didn't really get the attention it needed so it doesn't really tell the story as we planned. Thank you for commenting.
Was starting to think that sounded a lot like Game Grumps... but hey, a stream I didn't know about! :D They got the voice impressions spot on. Entertaining short (and stylish intro, oldskool).
-cd-
Thanks! And yeah,I was pretty amazed too when they just whipped these impressions out during the stream since these guys never did any other kinds of impressions before
I guess this is what it feels like to really immerse yourself in a game! XD Entertaining sketch, though the explosion felt downplayed a bit - and the black stick is just standing still (even though he seemed to be jumping up to meet the punch?) to take the hit... do like ambiguity at the end though, no Game Over, just a stylish barrel roll back into the real world. Good stuff.

Thank you for your review! I'll try to improve on the aspects you mentioned that were below par. Everyone's criticism is greatly appreciated!
Seems like an epic journey's about to commence! :D I mean: journal. Really atmospheric intro there, though hope there'll be content for NG too! Looking forward to it!

An Epic Journey Indeed! Thank You Very Much, Of Course Ill Be Posting On Newgrounds, In Fact, New Content Coming soon!
I can't read ... clocks? Just can't catch that one word at the end there, but apart from that: genius. XD So simple but so well presented. It's about time!
-cd-
It’s “analog” clocks. Yea I might have overdone it on the reverb! Haha.
Feels like you got that Euphoria part just right in the beginning, with the sand and water and sunshine... when it takes a turn for darkness, ghosts, winter, war...it seems like the feeling of euphoria switches to just: the realm of games. More of a substitute for that ideal, imaginary world... even if the first part was inspired by the like. The music does give it a great vibe all the way through, though!
-cd-
thanks, yeah I love the music, made me wanna do the video in the first place
Not having any idea who this mythical Punxsutawney Phil person might be probably takes away from the joke a liiiitttle.. nicely animated though! Easter egg insider info via the news screen scroller message thing too! Good to see you're still going strong with the animation.

Surely everyone knows about the whole thing where the groundhog sees his shadow, right? I can see not knowing him by name, especially since the name is so weird, but yeah, I guess it's one of those things where it's more funny if you know about it. Why do I always joke about more obscure things? lol
And yeah, that news ticker was a last second addition, it was a pain in the ass to do but was fun to put in an extra small detail ;3
Thanks!
With a parody you'd usually expect some comedy! Seems more like a hybrid between the two? It was well-done though. The scenes fit the music, and the drawings are pretty detailed. Movement's a bit sparse and simple... but then again that's how it usually is in an anime OP! Not bad.
-cd-
Thanks man! Taking notes on everything I can do to improve.
Also i almost forgot: Yeah I don't think this belongs on the "Parody" category, it's more a hybrid like you said. But it was simplier to put in the title LOL
