A little bit of kindness and a bigger bit of drive! Maybe when you're working with soothing ambient dnb like this is when you can really muster up the energy and resolve to bypass any roadblocks in yer way. Potential musical formula for progress.

Really loved the first half of the bit, but it kinda went monotone/a bit less sparkly for a while after that. Still plenty fueling. Nice work.

I want to get that final half star devil, you're killing me! I feel you on the crit. I had no idea what to do with this after that intro. I slugged out the track like a sad kitten :/

I really missed out on some things back in 2014...

If you didn't have the lyrics here you could hear this so differently. XD I got shit on my paint, I got chips on my tray, I got zits on my face... remix potential.

Entertaining tales of retail work! Good listen, though missing some kind of end game highlight type thing, it just cuts off a bit quick when time's up there. Also not be keep being picky about the volume but: feels like the levels switched around with this one. Dom way distant and Fro in the foreground instead... maybe how you perceive the levels when the frequency ranges are so different really has a lot to do with hardware too though, headphones or speakers, frequency output, probably trickier to adjust so it sounds good for all than if both recording sources were the same... hope you perfect the balance overtime anyhow.

Curious if you adjust this stuff only in advance btw, or when you mix together the audio after? Both recordings on the same layer or synced together with a starting clap or similar (would probably be easier to get a balance if they're separate if that's not how you do this already)?

Looking forward to that upcoming interview too.

DomAndFroShow responds:

We are recording on 2 very different mics, 3,000 miles away from each over over a chat program. I think I'll ask an audio expert to equalize these for me before I edit it next time. I can adjust the volume, but to be honest the speakers are broken on my super old laptop and I hear mostly static.

This one does seem to cut out because it was meant to only be half of an episode with an interview in the 2nd half. It went so long that I had to seperate it from the full episode. Even the outro was an after effect.

I noticed that it ended abruptly, but I just wanted to chalk this one up to lessons learned and move onto the next one where I could spend more time working on the issues.

Can dig this. :) Might be slow but what a flow... enjoying. You don't seem too many DK sounding rap beats around these parts...

Thanks Cyber :)

Interview with a legend! Nice. That DOOM trilogy really was a revolution of its time too, no matter how little effort it might have involved, having it here on NG, in FLASH... it was just crazy amazing. And to think we might be playing it via Ruffle soon too... would that technically be in JS then? HTML5? Still Flash...? Never thought about the technicalities of this before...

Great listen. So many memories with this one.

Well that was fun. :) Drunkenness not all coming across as drunken as it supposedly was according to description though, y'all seemed pretty normal here...

Hadn't realized how much littlbox has been missing in the podcast world before this! The one with the lively tone and special strain of self-fueled comedy that seems to get everyone else in their best game too... or not, whether it's the one personality addition or just the collective everything this time around I just really enjoyed this one. Glad you escaped the volcano LB.

Entertaining spotlight presentations, reflective end, great chemistry, it felt like just the right balance of everything, And That Happy Birthday song no less... 42 minutes for his 42nd B-Day, just two seconds too little on the seconds!!! Though I guess you weren't really counting either.

It's like a solo RealFaction stand-up session eh. :) Not bad at all. Really good work emulating the old style of sound, both the voice and the filter - even the cuts felt authentic. Things like the pause at the end, so it seems you don't really notice how it all ends. The faked nervousness whilst getting chased off by Jack Serious might've been the only bit that didn't feel all believable, really solid work on everything else! Entertaining all the way.

Felt like both way shorter and way longer than it really was too... interesting side effect of total captivation and unorthodox track duration.

Btw, curious if maybe more of y'all were involved with the voice acting after all? In that main bit? Maybe I'm just assumin' it's all RF. Consistent sound quality maybe enhances that impression...

Great interview; great people. Feels like you're starting to get into a suitable podcast length too with this one, maybe at least around an hour's really ideal. Feels conclusive when it's over.
