[Wack That Schmuck]

Definitely getting a whiff of that wacky atmosphere here. :) In my vision, Jimmy makes a run for it, leaping across construction site girders in a desperate attempt to get away, yet ultimately getting shit in the shoulder and plummeting to his inescapable death four hundred feet below... but what happened to the body? The ground lies barren and dry below, and Jimmy is nowhere to be found.

Interesting how the addition of a backstory changes the way you perceive the track, and I love that build-up towards the end, letting this play like a movie in my mind made for a pretty exciting finale at that point! Nice work, and an interestingly grungy style of sound this time around.

[A Certified Hip Feel]

I must admit, the first half a minute or so had me wondering if I'd really get into the groove. It felt a bit messy, unstructured, and not like the different instruments really synced. But as another half a minute passed those impressions faded away.

Makes me wonder if the combination's an acquired taste, or if everything just comes together better and better the further it goes. I like the added atmospheric layers towards the end especially. It's a funky collective, with a festive feeling to it! Nice music.

[That Boondock Bang]

I definitely catch the Souther-flavor in this one! Though not so sure about the metal. The beginning has me thinking of snakes and aligators, of wet mangrove swamps and shrimp boats, snakeskin boots, tough guys and decorative hats that obscure the eyes. And then it gets a little Spanish flare, and I feel like I'm on a dusty square in Mexico, a dry American walking up to a fountain for some water, but there's nothing there! The spectators gather with glasses of tequila and lime, and jeer him on as he quests for something to quench his thirst. *poof* Pepsi commercial. Well, I like! Twas a gritty, groovy; granular tune.

i'm not sure about the metal either, it certainly isn't heavy, but genres are amorphic so I might as well use any interpretive freedom to my advantage. I felt the downbeat heavy rhythm, drop D tuning, and usage of power chords was enough to loosely categorize this track as a type of alternative metal. Good review! It's good that you got that Southern swampy visual out of this track, so did I. Spanish influences are always a welcomed quality, but again I'm not hearing much of that here lol. Would make for a good Latino Pepsi commercial, where that dry American is Donald Trump. something like Robert DeNiro's character in Machete, maybe.

Moving; full of mellow metamorphosis. A very soft and sympathetic tune to listen to!

[Suburban Sunset]

Seeing the city image on the disc spin as I listen, I imagine I'm parachuting out of control, somersaulting through the sky in a sunset dive where my body does little to bring up a barrage of air that might slow my fall. It goes round and round, and what comes around goes around and round... were it not for the unintentional motion of said thumb I'd probably imagine a sunset on ground-level though, dusty and Earthbound, not really slow or eventless, but with a good dose of control. Feels like confidence. Also nice ending, abrupt but fitting.

[Don't Want to Go to Work]

The soundtrack behind that masterpiece. :D Sound quality's a lot better here too, and it was Five Guys huh, I hope I'll never have to work at a fastfood place, seems you're not alone with those impressions.

[I Wish I Knew Her Name]

I really enjoyed this one; maybe cause I'm in the melancholy contemplative mood it seems this was made for, mellow yet somber, a journey through life, drifting, riding, going somewhere but never getting there, it's what I picture I'd hear when I sit in the backseat of a car, looking out the window at shapes and shadows in the dark - vague landscapes passing by. This inspired my poem of the day too, felt like a think cap, something to bring forth strange thoughts and emotions. Kinda sad, but really nice. And Congrats on the 10 weeks so far!

[The Montenegrin Spy]

I do hear those melodic minors, giving it a mellow sense of mystery! At the beginning, it sounds a bit like elevator music, but when the improv kicks in the atmosphere shifts a bit. Overall mellow and easy listening, and a background loop where the loop isn't all that noticeable unless you really try to hear it. I feel like Latin music would be a bit fiercer, somehow? It's a nice tune, ambient; easy.

[Transcending]

A pretty nice piece, mellow and atmospheric, and nice build-up towards the end though, though it gets almost too loud there. Feels like a change of pace or melody would've made this piece complete. Keep it going!
