It's a whole new style with this one! :D Seems more like the new game than the old, but I do like it. Heavy, creative, truthful to the original but with a whole new vibe. Awesome energy and balance with the sound.

An awesome mesh of classics! :D It's got a pretty airy sound compared to the originals too. Heavy yet open; pompous in a way the original wasn't, while still being very true to origin. Awesome work. I just recognize the first as I never really got into Duke, but that part is even more so... mighty... fierce... makes me want to get back to the classics.

Such a surprisingly happy and uplifting style for a game like Doom! :D Seems it'd be an interesting PWAD to play though... bit high on the loudness, but great work overall.

This was definitely a new type of tribute to this old classic... so ambient compared to the new, though I do recognize the melodies, and I love how it all meshes together too. The atmosphere grows ominous fast, but you can never really grab a hold of the rhythm, it keeps morphing, moving from level to level, and a smooth but frantic pace... really love how heavy this all sounds! So awesome.

The guitarplay starts good, but towards the end of each bit you roll of a bit too much IMO. Maybe it's supposed to be a new take on the classic, but if comes off a bit... wrong. Not bad otherwise. Smooth loop too.

Such a mesh of genres this one. Starts smooth, jazzy; moves onto something else entirely... difficult genre to place (oh hey there's actually a genre for tracks with more than one genre now) but really cool too listen too. Smooth and easy listening, with plenty of variation in pace and style... but it all blends nicely.

I love genre-meshing. Always fun to mix together genres that don't seem like they should go together and have them seamlessly come together into one cohesive *thing* that feels good to listen to!

A real mighty Final Fantasy-like fanfare! :D Awesome work.

Aye, just what I was going for. Thank you once again ^.^

Definitely liked the other ones better. XD This one was, genuinely sad... not as clear quality with the voice either but, alright... it's got its moments too.

lol you find the emo song entertaining and the comedy song sad, beautiful.

Yeah, this was recorded with a different mic than I normally use, and I guess that mic has some kind of voice detection or something so it cuts stuff off sometimes. Wasn't too bad most of the time, but I know there was at least one improv song we did that had a decent bit of the vocals lost because the mic didn't detect that I was singing, despite the fact that it was less than a foot away from my mouth. Ah well.

Oh man. XD I love the lyrics, and the tone's just perfect too, but the flow otherwise... could be polished a bit! Still, most entertaining song I've heard in a while. Good job at least participating, no matter the lack of days! Seems the ones you did were actually pretty ambitious, as in really: complete songs. Good stuff.

artistunknown responds:

Yeah, I know what you mean with the flow, I wasn't quite sure how to better transition between some parts, I was hoping it was good enough but I guess not, lesson learned for the future though. I think I learned a lot about songwriting at least just from experimenting during FAWM. At the very least I figured out how to write 2 minute songs consistently lol.

Yeah, I guess my FAWM songs were pretty ambitious looking back, though they really didn't take a lot of time, the instrumentals were all put together in a day and then another day or two was spent recording vocals and mixing, and there were definitely days when I was finishing multiple songs in a day, so I definitely could've finished FAWM if I had put more effort and hadn't gotten sick near the end lol.

Thanks!
