This was the sweetest, the saddest, the masterfully crafted tale of one random man who gets sucked into the system, the cycle of society, a tale of greed and love and chain reactions that spirals into chaos and needless sacrifice. Makes me wonder what would've happened if the man choked at the begging of the story... and the irony in that he creates a holiday out of the one thing that almost killed him, of the fate that awaits.
The story's so symbolic: there's no need for words or speech, and special moments are enforced with still images and additional artistry. Music is modest and moody and shifts along with the story, and overall it's just an incredibly emotional experience to watch. Transitions are great, graphics are great, the message is muffled but inspiring and stiffing of hope at the same time, it paints up a picture of a grim world were working people just want to feed their dogs, the leaders just want more and normal people are a brainwashed herd, sheep to the system. Masterfully made!
