Interesting! This really wasn't the story I'd expected, was thinking it'd be more so a massacre in the bedroom, and when the one guy started being suffocated that might've been the turning point of it all but... it really was a bible story. A somewhat truthful depiction of the events that transpire therein - with an unusual dose of gore compared to other similar reconstructions.

The pace is good, the visuals too, despite the common context it was surprisingly captivating as well... the character banter definitely adds a little to that too. Transitions between the room and the story-related visuals work well, and I recognize some of 'em from the individual art. :) Feels like you're in an inner circle somehow...

I am curious how things might change after this, if this is it, if it's a new kind of interpretation of the holy book, or if there's more to it? Do historical events somehow bridge over to the present eventually? Does it end with a twist? Is there a moral of the story when it's all over? Also curious what EOFS stands for?

Two things I think you could improve a bit:

1. Bigger/clearer subtitles. They might not need to be bigger, but would it be possible to export this with better video quality? As it is the text's a little blurry. Same with the animation itself, though not so important with precise edges there as it is with text/readability.

2. Female voices. XD It adds a comical tone when it's all male but... it'd really add a lot regardless. Maybe you can find some VA here on NG that'd be willing to join in?

Overall this was not at all what I expected, and yet more captivating than I expecting. Animation's good, the subtitles are good - appreciate the added note on for example religious phrase usage in Brazil too - the voicing's good too but kinda strange with the genders.

Good stuff here. Seems there's plenty more to get into... will give the longer ones a shot later on! Curious to see where this all leads.

thanks! EOFS stands for "The Enchanted Ones from Santos" (Santos is a good city here in Brazil, I like to joke and say it's Miami in Brazil). It's an adult cartoon full of humour, social criticism, parodies and such (like Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, etc). (Christian) religion will be one of the topics covered on the cartoon, as well politics and other society stuff, I did read all the bible and plan to combine some stuff of the christian religion with the cartoon (like the japaneses combine the japanese folklore stuff with their animes), as well other stuff like occultism, satanism, black magic, etc. There are some morals to the stories, i want to let the public thinks about it, but overall it's meant to be an adult cartoon like family guy, south park, etc.
Yeah, the subtitles will be clearer on the next eps, i got some comments about it already. I'm gonna see what i can do about the VA, the next ep will be released soon, it will have an alternative dub version with more people doing the VA i'm gonna see how it will come out.
Once again thanks for your review! And take your time! The other eps are a litle different than this one on many aspects so it will be a different experience for sure!

Fersto sums it up pretty well I think. :) Without context there's little allure here, but when you do know the context... well it still feels pretty eventless. Even though you're headed right for the rock. Feels like having the original audio track in particular would add a whole new dimension to this, or any audio for that matter.

But I also wonder: when there's an original video that looks pretty much just like, I'm curious why you'd recreate the same thing exactly the same way? Seems like you'd want to enhance it somehow if you did; add your own spin to it. It really looks almost exactly the same.

Impressive replica but... not that captivating standalone.

TheMiamiDeSantos responds:

yeah, i did saw this NASA video then thought i can recreate this. Then found a pic and did the animation took me about 40 minutes to make the replica, it's just meant to be a replica of the nasa video

Some solid culinary advice here, though takes a while till you get to it. :P

Cute work; great voicing; nicely done!

You put a looot of thought into the backstory here! Never considered the potential connection between the Thing Thing series and 'The Thing' movie franchise, though if you by visuals they're really not that similar... are they? I forget the games. Gotta play again sometime.

This was masterful though. Both animation and stopmotion, and the sound effects and motions add so much, like with the chainsaw fight you can really feel the aggression! Feel a little sorry for the 'Thing' when it's all over... but then you get the end bit so maybe it's not over after all. :) Must say both contestants really were crazy agile being able to dodge that amount of shotgun shells too! Impressive fight.

Potential things to improve: transitions. When for example in the intro you have the 'stop motion' text... and then you move into regular animation, and THEN switch to stopmotion, it feels like the shift between animation and stopmotion would've been a better place for that transition text. I get the same impression with various bits of text, that the message comes too early; the animation it refers to comes a second or so later. Some lightning shifts in filming too, and a typo in Madenss Day towards the end - but maybe that bit's intentional.

Overall great stuff! This was fun to watch. Brutal, creative; with a little comedy too.

Well that was entertaining. XD

Just the regular video version Joe Rogan meets Random Person sketches are fun, but with animation you really can take them to the next level... endless potential with this kinda content! Good stuff.

If only I was this happy about eating food. :D He's got moves! Fun stuff.

Hmm if I only understood what was being said here... I think when most of the audience here only has English as their native language it'd boost your views and ratings a bit if you had subtitles. ;)

I'm playing GTA San Andreas right now, wonder if this has anything to do with that, even after a few loops I'm just not sure...

The state of being civilized is kinda on ice these days ain't it? Good rant, albeit a bit short...

So heartfealt; so wholesome... both visuals and soundtrack are on point, though I think the thing I like most with this series is the pace. How it's both so calm and so engaging. It's a captivating tale of adventure but at the same time it's refreshingly laid back compared to the real world...

Fascinating how you both escape the real world for a bit and tune into your emotions with this. It's so far off yet so perceptible. And the characters are lovely. Awesome work as always.

A Swedish catgirl allofa sudden, could it be? XD Ukrainian maybe? We have similar flagship colors after all, but that was unexpected, and fun, and seemed like it could've turned into something all the steamier but of course things never go the way you expect them to in the sexual lobster realm...

The shift and emotional showcase at the phone shot was surreal though. Spot on. We probably would do well to escape some of these digital obsessions and illusive commitments that make up our lives these days...

Great stuff. Entertainment factor heavy as always too, garden gnome shots and all, always at least a few of those quick but impeccable comedic details mixed in. Wonder if the main reason your work works so impressively well is mainly the timing and transitions, they're always so on point.
