Those little aliens remind me of Space Invaders. :) Gameplay is simple and addicting, though by the way rooms seem to be randomly generated each time I play I guess it's endless? Would've been neat with a goal to strive towards, or if it does go on forever: highscores. Nice game!

This feels like so much more than a regular LD entry! Everything from the level variations to the pixel graphics, catchy circus music and innovative idea is great. I realized once when accidentally jumping into a ball of flame that it spun off to the side - not sure if it was supposed to do that - but overall it seems bug-free too.

Cycling steadily through the levels is the real challenge in this game, not so much the actual obstacles and platforms, but the fact that you're always rolling around. It's simple, it's clever, it's addicting! A grand feat for a mere 48 hours!

Love the idea, though you might want to mention in the game that you can (apart from move using A/D keys) also rotate the world. I went with arrow keys automatically, and thought rotation was the same as movement, which of course made the first passage an impassable puzzle... game's great if you don't get stuck on the controls or lost though, challenging, puzzling; fun. It even has a story! :D

Currently the first screen tells you how to move left and right (all that's needed to escape the first screen), then the second screen tells you how to rotate left and right (which is required to solve that screen). And finally, the third screen tells you that you can drop and spin in mid-air.

Did you see those other prompts, or did only the first prompt appear when you played?

Cheers.

Hmm, so I managed to find the ring before it was too late... wonder if there really was a time-limit on the game? Could've made things interesting, like a 'time trial' difficulty for completing certain tasks at certain times. Anyway, seeing all these photographical sceneries again was a refreshing change from the drawn ones, gets harder to find the clues with so much detail in the sceneries too. Nice, jazzy music; plenty of puzzle. Good game!

Simple and addicting! Didn't notice there was a timer at first, but that definitely adds to the difficulty after a while. Especially when it's one prisoner/one other guy/one prisoner/etcetcetc it gets confusing so easily. Also feel the speech bubble is in the way a bit, and also: no highscores? :O Otherwise: good fun!

Addicting, fast-paced and full of action. I like it! :D Not just the game but the story, the interface, the music, all great!

Interesting idea for a game! At first it seemed to be more of a SIM, but with a storyline woven in, and battles, it seemed much more interesting all of a sudden. Love the happy music and pixel graphics, and the slick interfaces, even though the instructions are a lot to take in. On the first screen, when you enter the room, I was trying to open up phone/instructions/etc to no effect, maybe have them unselectable or something until you clear that first phase of going around the house?

Feels strange having the cubes hide behind each other. I imagine being able to place them on top of each other instead could make for some more more co-ordinated movement. You could move the lower one to move them both, in battle for example. Always have both visible even with limited surface area, etc.

Anyway, the game seems promising! It's more than you'd guess at a first glance: a SIM, a dungeon-type RPG, a point and click adventure... going to be interesting to see how this evolves before final form! Good luck with the project!

Pretty interesting idea, but the idling part had me confused. Not sure what I'm doing or exactly how to achieve the goal... feels the weak point with this game is some in-game guidance at what's actually going on. Definitely a unique idea though!

Thank you for the feedback. There were definitely limitations with creating this game, one definitely being the time and the other having it all on one screen. The original concept was more of an open world idle game... once the theme was announced, I came up with the game board idea.

A simple and addicting game! I like the idea, the subtle music, the smooth controls and how the more complicated levels all have a shortcut you can take to save some time - even if it's not always easy. Only thing that could potentially improve this is: medals, and more levels! Nice work!
