Getting a real Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe here. :) Intentional? The two layers don't always seem to match - especially in the beginning, and the sound volume fluctuates a bit as you play, probably a bit unevenly played, but I really like the vibe otherwise. Clean recording quality and pretty heartfelt guitarplay. Not bad!

I see...Will definitely re-record it and add another solo. Hmmm now that you're saying it...it has a RHCP vibe...I did listen to them a lot recently and really love Frusciantes work. Thank you for the feedback

An impressively pompous track! Really does sound just like the type of stuff you'd hear in the movies. So many layers, so much detail; so much POWER! Even in the lower parts the mood just keeps building, rising; growing... curious about the orchestral parts: is this really all digital? Sounds so real. Masterful work.

Mattashi responds:

Thanks Cyberdevil! and yup everything is digital :)

Really trippy melody in this one! I like how many layers it has to it too, with everything syncing so well and bringing in such an unorthodox groove... really makes you want to bounce around the room. Happy, ambient, uplifting piece! Not very monotone either, so not at all the 'house' I'd expect! Nice work.

Thx

Feels like I'm playing Pokemon... was what I thought when it first started, but as the adventure moves along it sure morphs from one style to another; from one adventure to the next! Love the vibe, the adventure, the variation, and the overall softness of the sound. Seems like most Pixel audio becomes synonymous with Chiptune, but dampening that Chip a bit makes for a pretty feelgood level of listening...

Nicely put together! It's like a medley of nostalgia, yet all new! Happy Pixel Day!

For some reason your very first comment makes me think: "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this," followed by Professor Oak handing you a Pokéball with a Pikachu inside. Nintendo crossovers FTW!

Totally random references aside, I really appreciate the review, Cyberdevil! I was hoping that this track would be a bit different from most of the other offerings on-hand, and it seems that I wasn't wrong. The only question then is how well it will be received, and I have been nothing short of amazed by the overwhelmingly positive response.

I think the best part of music like this is that it really does feel deeply nostalgic. It scratches that itch for something delightfully old school, while remaining wholly new and unique. So glad that you dropped by, man! Happy Pixel Day to you, too.

Really getting me in the mood for some oldskool platformer games here. :) I'm getting all kinds of nostalgia from this, though can't seem to tie it to any one specific title... it's like Mario and Cave Story and a ton of others all in one. AKA an original piece that just reminds me of so many others.

I love the wavery style, the shimmering piano and just overall so happy, positive, continually shapeshifting melody hererin. Easy listening! Nice work.

thanks! :> i have no idea what my inspirations are any more lol

Not bad at all for 20 minutes worth of work. :) Smooth and synthy, though somewhat slow... welcome back!

Any idea on how to calm it back down? But maybe kinda keep momentum? Should I introduce new sounds while taking others away? Idek

Such a smooth and streamlined track. I don't r4ecognize the theme at all, but it feels like something I could have listened to in a game like F-Zero. Music like you're just raging on, racing on through time... great work.

Flashburn responds:

its funny because i was thinking actually yesterday I need to do an fzero song already

Made as if to be in a Madness animation! Nice. I like the 'chewy' sound it all starts out with too, just perfect for the name.

It's almost as if... I MADE IT FOR MY SHORT.

DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!

Resistance... just that word sums it all up so perfectly. First few moments in I felt the revelations seething through, explaining why... pretty much everything about everything about my persona. Such a simple concept, and single dividing line between the commoner and the commercial artist. That it all lies in will more than skill's been clear along time but... resistance. That just put everything into place somehow. Hope to better myself; jump on the right path after this. Become a pro... or more importantly: feel accomplished, no matter which path I pursue. :) Overcome resistance and live free.

This might be that real eye-opening life-changing podcast right here! Great summary; slices of wisdom. All voiced with great clarity that seems to enhance the message even more.

Good to know this was useful for you, cd. Best of luck with your struggle against resistance; remember it's a war, not a battle.
