This wasn't bad, man! I love the echo effect on the background voices, in the beginning especially, and the main synth melody that joins in every once in a while, climbing up and down; reminding me of old 8bit boss battles... the build up's good, the pace is rythmic and easy to vibe to, the main phrase is catchy too... I might have the wrong impression of trap music, but I always considered it more of a structure of rap than of dance/trance music, which this seems to be. But not bad. Good melody, good variation; thorough quality.

GameBalance responds:

Well. I could not think of category to label it other than trap. It also can be described as alternative or indie electronic I guess.

Jazzy, a little melancholy, a little upbeat... the emotions really mash together in this one. Nice work.

Rekuiem responds:

thank you so much, I forget sometimes the value of the stuff from a time when I just wished I could get what was in my mind out more clearly. Hearing that it is appreciated means so much to me.

Man those parts with the sound effects mixed in. XD This is awesome. Curious what filters you use on this? Just a shift of pitch or more than that? This isn't your actual low voice voice is it?

Syrupmasterz responds:

Mainly just pitch shifting my voice down, I actually had to yell for that long. :P
My voice is very high pitched in comparison to the deep voice. haha

Intro like the jukebox is just bout to get turned on and then... hell yeah! :D It really gets turnt up. Rock, bluegrass, jazz, Christmas music? Don't know what to class this as. Funky hybrid stuff, with a catchy but just a little somewhat too jumpy tune IMO. You never really get settled in.

Seems like something that'd fit perfectly with some animation though, pauses, shifts, all that stuff.

Possibly responds:

Thanks so much and sorry it's taken me a while to respond, but I appreciate the review and kind words!

So much sparkle in this one. :) Could've been a Christmas thing too. Hopeful stuff!

ninjamuffin99 responds:

when i first made the drafts of the melody or whatever for this one, not even related to any duncan and jones stuff, I saw it as a sorta casino-y type beat. I think i made it around last christmas though hmm.....

Pretty ambient for a boss battle, but not without that constant tension flooding through it... can definitely dig this. The saw-like vibe in back reminds me of some particular track that I can't quite place... Prodigy, maybe...? Oh, Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At! Has some pretty creative overtones above that, though. Metal playing in the wind. An eerie kind of intensity. Unique and vibeable stuff!

Rorrapalooza responds:

Dude, I fucking love Basement Jaxx.

That Character Animator program really does seem interesting... and one by Adobe no less! Expected it to be some small spin-off-no-one-ever-heard of thing. Will definitely look into that.

Also would invite GetMadz to join up at the place that really started it all too, NG, right here. Ain't no place like it! Maybe signing up for an NG account could be a pre-requisite for being in these podcasts? ;) He/you (if you're reading this) seem(s) like a pretty creative dude.

I like the idea of bringing in new perspectives too. And new people. Also feels like the YT community might be more like the lunch room that GetMadz describes, whereas NG is that small, enclosed circle where everyone knows everyone, and bonds overtime, overcoming mutual hardships and all those trials and tribulations that both smaller platforms and creators face. So y'know, that account's just a click away...

Anyhow: great convo. Looking forward to more of these, though hope you keep inviting certified NG peeps too. There's so many I'd like to hear here. Deathink, Sabtastic, Tom(noneedtotypeoutlastname), Cheetoh, ClockworkPixel, TheComet, ZebraHumor, TylerLandis, EdBound, MrNannings, MarkAnime, SouljaBoy, KarlSia, MLeth, SomeonesEx, Ant0on, ChazDude, artistunkown, MistyEntertainment, d-z, Deprixon, RadioTubeClock, Pop-Tart, SBC (and other clocks), Kol-Belov, BrentHeMan, Jaime-R, Kel-chan and sucho just to name a few. If for some reason you felt you were running out of interesting people. ;)

Keep up the good works!

Will responds:

Whoa! Thanks for the great list!

It's good shit, that's what it is! :D At least the first half of it. Kinda gets out of control at the end there, skewed and distorted... but it's a cool groove. Creative stuff.

Rorrapalooza responds:

Hahaha, dude, exactly! I keep thinking, "How many people are going to get to the part where it starts to get completely ridiculous?" Thanks for making it there, my dude.
