That beautiful brass, delighting drums, jazzy light improv style all the way... I don't know much about swing but I could probably tango to this. Maybe. If I knew how to tango. Metaphorically otherwise?

The audio quality's crisp and the music keeps you in, I really love stuff like this, melodic and moving... it's great all the way, though maybe fades a bit quick at the end.

Beautiful play y'all.

Thanks for your review CD! Now that I think of it.. maybe Summit Samba would be more fitting. Oh if I could turn back time

Well that was solid. :)

Great voice, great acting, crisp and clear production too... gets close to clipping on some parts at the end but maybe it doesn't really... really a varied repertoire of skills and voices.

Somehow always comical hearing so very contrasting bits of VA work in conjunction like this too.

Fun stuff well done.

Thank you so much!!

Reminds me of the Axel F tune of the eighties too. :) Beverly Hills Cop. I wonder who inspired who...

The composition's great. Smooth, soothing, a little tropical... gets me thinking of old Sting songs too. I love the atmosphere. Sound's rich and reverberating, the structure's good.

Really good cover.

Just read your comment, and late at night, you just hit me with a nostalgia wave, thank you so much !

Definitely relentless! The energy's great, production's great, I like the dial-tone-like distortion at the end too...

Very intricate. Love the DnB bits. It builds and breaks and shifts nicely, but this kind of speed and energy's definitely a bit of an acquired taste... a little too shrill and tumultuous for my ear after the two minute mark in particular...

Overall though solid banger.

What a vibe. Mellow chiptune with a steady beat in back but such a bombardment of melody; little intricacies and switches along the way... does the name justice, and manages to both keep you captivated and bob your head all the way through.

Appreciative breaks and shifts too, in the part after the two minute mark maybe it did go a little long without shifts, and the ends a little strange but... overall: solid. Catchy tune, good composition; great production quality.

Thank you for your feedback, your opinion is important to me. "Crazy Arcade" is far from my best song. It was the first time I tried to make a full-fledged chiptune, so there are similar errors here.

Some solid life advice in this, and the secret of baldness revealed! XD Good stuff. Good backstory in the first half or so, a little more nonsensical in the latter half, would've been cool with even more artist history and Q&A; music-related conversation there...

The volume levels between you and WOD-C's could be a bit more even, recording quality on his end not the best either, or just too high and clipping, feels like a more even mix would make it way easier to listen to/allow you to have a more comfortable volume where neither's too high or low, but I did enjoy this! Good stuff y'all. Great chemistry.

Wonder how that demo turned out? Did it happen?

Hey mate thank you so much for this review! I'm actually using a new audio recorder, I've decided to record my own audio instead of recording everything all at once with OBS, and it's working a lot better! We do tend to go a little off topic once we get an hour in, happens with a lot of my guests probably due to us getting comfortable, and some people like it some people don't, that's alright!
I have a demo, but unfortunately I just don't have time to produce right now. Music is such a complicated art that needs a lot of time that I just don't have right now. But, the demo is certainly something! Maybe I'll upload it to NG once I work on it more.
Thanks again for your review, CD!

Maybe a bit too long a pause after that intro hmm... once it gets going though what a ride! Creative kick/beat/bass. The guitar's dope, there's definitely no shortage of skill, the solos are soulful and vibrant, but the flow overall... even though it's fast it seems a little hesitant sometimes. Maybe the beat and guitar don't always match tempo, not sure what it is, you can clearly hear the speed yet I'm not as blown away by it as I feel I should be.

Wonder if the drum kicks could be a bit more prominent, seems the guitar's the bigger focus overall. But the instrumentality's insane. So good. Impressive pace all the way...

Banana-head responds:

thanks for the review!

Getting some real Nirvana vibes at the beginning. :) Smells a bit like teen spirit hmm, they were the godfathers of the genre after all... although it's a different pace/tone. Suppose that's intentional?

It definitely changes after that though, turns into more so ambience than grunge, feels almost like a homage to the genre more so in title, similarly catchy but ambient and soft. More like Punk, maybe? Pop? Not sure how to best categorize it.

I love the vibe. It's a little repetitive but has a great energy. Easy to play in the background and just spur you on; keep you going. Loop it over and over and gets some work done!!!

Sound quality's good too, a little saturated maybe but suitably rich and 'grungy' after all. Lotta bass. And that solo... breaks out in a good way, yet still blends in.

Feels like the main thing to improve here might be structure, it doesn't really end either, doesn't break out or conclude but fades off... as if it could've kept going forever. The tempos switch nicely and keep you bobbing your head but... apart from that solo it is a little static.

Good stuff though. Would be cool to hear this with vocals. Or just something more.

factzmachine responds:

hey hey thx for the review and yeah, the beginging also reminds me of that song lmao. the different pace is intentional btw. I was going for a basic 4-Chord slammer but i can see why it reminds you of Nirvana.

Honestly idk if i'll keep a good bit of the parts where it's quiet. maybe until i can get vocals in it.

btw the solo was recorded in one take. i also applied a chorus on it with a "hint" of delay but yeah, it's kinda lacking. anyway, thanks for the review, happy you liked it!

This was really nice, soft and fluent, refreshingly slow, with the occasional drum roll, with a warm kind of sound... is this recorded for real? Seems like it'd be difficult to get a composition as rich as this entirely digital. The instrumentation feels... tactile.

I like the first third in particular, it kind of both speeds up and calms down a bit after that; gets a bit more chaotic somehow - which is no detriment with the genre of course, but I like the structure initially. The little re-occurring jingle/melody. After that third it no longer seems as vibrant; not as wholesome; not with as notable drum rolls either maybe... though still is calming. Second half almost reflects the title a bit hmm...

Tis a nice medley, and long time coming. Glad you got at least this one out!

S3C responds:

thanks for the descriptive review...and only the guitar is recorded

This is so dope. :) That energy... always have so much of it. I might make something with this, hope ya don't mind...
