This was a nice, happy melody. Not sure I like the choir around 30-40, but the tropical music that kicks in after that is just great. It's like being out on a sunny beach, sipping Pina Colada, just chilling, having a good time. I could do without the sharp transitions that the rest of the track consist of, but anyway, good work.

I'm sorry you don't like the choir or transitions. :c The transitions were one of the most difficult parts of this whole piece to be honest. The tropical part was just something that I thought up - why the heck not?

It's not very loud, but the element of fear is definitely there. With a little imagination I can imagine myself journeying through a dark place, shadows creeping over the ground, clouds pulling over the sky, a breeze chilling to the very marrow sweeping a whirl of dead leaves at my feet. Smooth, ambient, dark music. Keep it going!

SkyeWint responds:

I was thinking of the game Amnesia while making this, so it's meant to be more of a background thing to give an underlying feel of unease while you're walking around.

Your imagination is pretty darn nice while listening! I like it!

Man, the insight in how much work was involved in the making in this really raises the bar for how much feedback I should include in a review. My first impression, with regard only to the sound, is that's ambient and fresh. I like the first chunk of music best, even though it's simple. It feels that part conveys the astral voyage much more than the others, but it's an interesting mixture of different instruments and melodies all the way through. Something like this should get it's own animation. I'm all for imagining things myself, but it would be interesting to see this with a forced pictorial track synced to the music. Keep up the good work!

SkyeWint responds:

Oh man, I'd LOVE to see an animation to this. I'd be curious about what people would think about it.

Glad you like the ambiance and freshness of the track, I was hoping to make something... different. All the different sections were originally intended to depict sections of the nation's development, the end is when they finally get to space.

Thanks a lot, I hope to put out a new piece in a few days which I've been working on for awhile!

Aah, who needs drugs when there's music like this! :D Interesting mixture, with plenty of variation and psychedelic sound. Though it seems to crawl over the place it still stays melodic though, and the sssing sounds in the background are a refreshing layer behind the bright funky foreground music. Nice work!

SkyeWint responds:

Normal drugs are weak compared to the power of MUSIC DRUGS.

That hissing sound is actually a bit of high-end reverb being panned all over the place from the snare.

Getting all those melodies took some serious effort, especially to set it up so it was sounding reasonably 'real' and detailed so that people can listen deeper and deeper and deeper, or just sit there on the surface and hear the normal groove.

Haha, the Charizard impersonation is definitely the best one. :D Jiggalipuff didn't sound as high-pitched as he/she/it sounds in the game, but overall these are good. Bulbasaur reminds me of Yoda. Keep it going!

Tigrezz responds:

Thanks! :D
You have a point about the Jigglypuff; I didn't notice it! I'll have to practice the higher pitch, or find out how to "edit" it (even though that's not what I want to do. xD)
Was the Bulbasaur a compliment or a something else? :P

Thought it is a bit slow, this sounds nice. I would probably mind the slow pace less if at least the beat was faster overall, or if there wasn't one and just plain ambiance. There are parts like that, both with faster beat and completely without, so maybe just skip the slow-beat intervals? Keep it going!

Thank you for the review! I will work harder and keep all this in mind.

Sounds like potential. Apart from the commonly annoying eeeee added to most of the kiddy phrases, the different voices sound pretty good. Wonder how this would sound with a professional script. :P Keep it going!

-cd-

Tigrezz responds:

Thank you Cyberdevil! I will definitely be working on my voices more and try to keep away from my "eee's" xD
I'm curious to how it would sound with a script as well... Hmmm... Anyways, I did get the part, and all I'm waiting for now is his script.
Enjoy life!
