Aaand here's a definite favorite of your work so far! So realistic, and such a silly/entertaining contrast/comparison/motive. Just the right kind of butterfly to choose, too, with all those eyes looking out! Maybe strange the girl isn't actually looking at the butterfly, but almost obliviously into the distance... but I imagine she's seen the butterfly already and is looking at someone else to show them... eyes full of life, but not a full smile as not to scare the insect away. Nice piece.

I can recall that I spent a fair amount of time on this one because I couldn't really get the face proportions right! :D And had a bit of a struggle with the eye too! I also remember using this "scattering" brush for shading this one so that I could achieve a slightly "sandy" texture...I really appreciate your thoughts about this, thank you so much!

I guess her nine lives are up huh... or more symbolical? A cat that actually doesn't have any mischievery going on? Looks good!

Your first guess was correct! :) This was a requested tribute to a beautiful black kitty. Thank you for your comment!

A strange kind of meeting! I like the color, and creative creature design. Nice piece.

I enjoy designing such creatures, giving them different symbolic (or not) features! :) It's always a good practice :) This piece is quite old and I don't know how I managed to make the colors work, but I'm glad you like them! :D Thank you!

Always interesting to see how these things take form! Dark and ethereal here.. nice work.

I like to look at others WIPs as well, it's great to see the process of their work! :) Thank you!

A simple set of colors but... so effectual! The silver lady turned out particularly spectral, and the sunset's a somber gold in the background! Beautiful work.

I'm still not really sure about picking colors/have a hard time figuring out which ones go well together (working on some color theory atm tho!) And so I guess that this challenge came at the right time for me to practice that! :) I'm happy that you like it and thank you very much for your comment!

Green as if a pixie piece of nature entirely! even green eyes... I'm wondering if it wouldn't have been better with at least those breaking out of the norm, something to contrast, but apart from the overload of green she looks great. Beautiful nature. Natural beauty.

Yesss, I was going for the "pure nature" look and then I decided to do kind of a monochromatic piece...though I added hints of yellow in the end because it seemed too green to me as well at that point! :D Thank you very much for your opinion, now that I think I of it I really could have added a different color to her eyes!

At a glance I really like the color in this! Strong, fierce and fiery... though closing it it seems like some bits and pieces remain, and the color doesn't go all the way to the 'lines'. If you aren't already, how about working with this with the line work as a layer above the drawing, as to avoid the white edges? Otherwise nice work!

Thanks for the feedback. Will work on it. This is actually my first design in digital :)

Another one with the third eye... I wonder if it means something more than I assume it does? A trademark trademark? Really like the colors and contrast in this, though the background seems a bit bland and brown in comparison.

Liaf-art responds:

I started to draw these when I needed to release my feelings/emotions, I really wanted to incorporate the third eye and liked it enough to add it to a few of my other drawings as well! :) Yes, I wanted the contrast within the face to be strong! I felt like the brownish yellow somehow goes well with the color combo purple + green, and so I couldn't resist to squeeze it in there as well! Thank you very much for your opinion!

Really love the color and radiance in this, and the somber gaze, appearing to bring with it a whist of wisdom and tiredness.... third eye, too! Symbolic piece.

With this one I wanted to practice lighting a bit more too, and was aiming for a mystical feel to it :) Thank you for all of your comments, they're much appreciated!

If I had this kind of TV I think I might actually start watching TV again. :P Smooth design, and I assume also some symbolism as to: being obsessed with TV? Meaning or no meaning: looks good! Simple and smooth, though some parts (feet) seem almost too simplified. Keep it going!

Thank you! I honestly was just testing out new software with it and draw something random. I'm getting back into the swing of drawing, so I kind of tried to make it some sort of stylized thing, and that's why the feet look odd. I'll probably keep evolving. Thanks for the input!
