Reminds me a bit of the Moai, those monolithic human figures on Easter Island. If you'd submitted at a different time I wonder if I'd have seen the same resemblance though...

Nice work. Comes across less creepy with that parallel. Can see how it could seem darker too.

I like the fluid; grainy; shadowy style.

Thanks! It's in part inspired by modern abstract sculptures which in turn are loosely inspired by indigenous art, so I definitely see where you're coming from.

Heeey you actually were early, thought this was at least an April 1 thing! Wonder what happened on the eight of the January this year to incite such a thing...

Solid work tho.

darkmangopsychology responds:

I just got there early.

Hahahaa, what a contrast. XD

I wonder though, does the left one apply even with games that aren't really action-oriented? Like a sheep simulator? :P Seems maybe there are exceptions to that intensity!

Love the details here. Color contrast. Best animator mug in the second one. The monocle (wish I had one of those). XD

Nice one.

Mejson responds:

Yeah, I know, contrast XD Of course, strongly exaggerated :P Of course, a joke :P

Noeeeeeeeeeeeeee... it's not about the action :P It's about the madness! You're crazy!

Haaaa! You noticed the mug! And such a green bum in a peaked cap didn't notice XD Bravo!

Thanks!

This is great though! The white line placement/shapes maybe not perfect, not emanating from the center in either a symmetrical manner or a swift and chaotic one, thinner at the center, thicker further away - not that they need to have any particular shape or straightness but they just come across a little forced - not the most fluent/visual perfection IMO. Even with chaos there's order...

But the background color's great! And the overall composition. I love the shift; the orange and pink and impending blackness. Gritty but colorful, like a sunset or a flag, an explosion, a notion, a growth, a radiance, a darkness, dirty but beautiful, searing and bright... if you keep testing the form I think you'll start getting some really good looking stuff with this style. Just the gradients are impressive. Edges too.

Feels like potential cover art in the making....

Look so much better in person too, I have it framed on my wall.
tysm for ya review!

So you did manage before the 24th! Impressive!

Nice style. The Easter egg hmm, wonder if it has something to do with the symbol on the top right...

Yes! Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper!

Way to go! You're on the right track!

Ah this is one of those fonts you were speaking of earlier! :D This is nice. Seems almost... Gaelic, maybe? Like Runes? Well no not really, apparently they're nothing exactly like it - that I know of - but... it definitely looks cryptic in a similar way. A little chaotic with the extra edges/fades/brush debris around the letters too. Feels like something you could use in a horror game...

...in the style depicted here. In the TTF file it seems they're streamlined almost beyond recognition! But indeed so much more alien that way too. Futuristic and clean.

May be useful! Nice incentive.

100% free use, riff off it or use it outright and have fun :). Yep, runes. I've used it in the NSF category as well as anything that's remotely alien, and it seems to fit.

The biggest goal was not lifting my hand to write glyphs (stonework), and somehow, it just wound up taking on characteristics of many written languages. Trying to imagine how aliens and ancients would scrape things into a wall. Genuinely surprised at how it worked out, and easily one of the most fun things I've done. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!!!

Emelie looking goood! Those piercings too... enticing.

Smoothly drawn.

thank you thank you 😏xd

The iconic one and only! :D Very smooth work.

Thank you so much!

Too true! Just being out the real world these days, seeing how everyone's buried on their phone, so close yet so distant... and yet it's a norm now; that's how people are used to interacting. Doesn't seem either healthy nor productive, and the mainstream media we're exposed to almost seems designed to dumb us down; keep us fed with this false loop of engagement; social circles...

With moderation though, tech doesn't need to be so bad. Feels like this could also be a representation of a world where we're still the ones in control. Still close to nature. Still appreciate innovation but don't let it control us; feed us a lifestyle that in many ways just feels devoid of purpose; severs our connection to what is real.

Nicely drawn.
