Looks like there's a war going on! Not sure what war that is, or who's fighting who, but so far: it lo9oks great. I love the attention to details in pretty much everything short of the furthest away background cityscape. Hope there'll be some story to this in future episodes!

haha... this first episode is caos... just a test of animation on this stylle. I'm trying to make another episode if plot... :P. Sorry for the long response delay... I had not seen the comments! I am a noob. I really want to make a game in Ubiart our other engine plataform similar to this animation. All the best! Cheers

So this is how it ends! With an artfully masterful yet creatively confusing piece. I get suicidal vibes from that final scene, but I do hope there may be a more meaningful message behind it? Animation's great, and in that first scene... the clouded critters really looks like a Pokemon. Nice work; best of luck with all future ventures! With Gerkinman the character retired btw, what's going to happen to Gerkinman the user(name)?!

Gerkinman responds:

Hey man, glad you liked it! Theres all kinds of messages in this short, but what they mean to me and what they mean to you as an audience is always going to be different, and I think thats the way film should be.

The name will keep being used on here I suppose, unless Tom wants to change it to Visitors From Dreams, and I have a couple more LP's to put up on the Gerkinman youtube channel, but ill mainly be sticking to Visitors From Dreams from here on.

A beautiful story, and beautiful stopmotion to go with it! Must've taken a ton of time with all those details. The one thing that baffles me is how the bear gets an answer out of the fireplace though, I'd have thought the letter burned up? Would've made more sense if he, in a sudden fit of despair, threw it out the window or something. It all ends well though! Nice work.

An awesome gesture that easily transcedes barriers of lingual needs! Love the sequential style of telling, that switches through notable items as if it was a story, at a fast pace too. Apart from Parmigiano Reggiano it seems like you've included everything of importance. ;) Looking forward to what countries come next!

lmao, that dude definately has a twitch! Makes me wonder what the livestream looked like... animation, ideas and everything is just hilarious, keep it going!

Hah, not what I expected, but it turned out entertaining! Though AAARGH at that red and blue color combo at the end, those colors just aren't meant to be together! Audio quality is pretty fuzzy too, when the music comes in that takes over and you can barely hear what's being said. Good idea, but could use some polishing!

What a surprise seeing ViariousE as sponsor! :O Wonder what it takes to gain such an honorable mention? As always: awesomely artistic and slightly disturbing content here. Looking forward to whatever memorable macabreness this creative coalition results in!

VicariousE became a sponsor of the Alfred Alfer Movie via the official Emily Youcis Patreon! And you can too! Not only do you have a chance to be a producer of the film, but you can receive sweet prizes as well! Check it out here: patreon.com/emilyyoucis

The trailer really builds up expectations, intense music for gritty artwork. Looks like something to look forward to!

Comick responds:

hahaha thanks! Yeah I'm bascially working into the late nights crashing at 2 and 3am doing pages and animating panels to make sure that this is the best issue I release online...I wanted to create something super special for my readers to enjoy that their support directly contributed to.

Feels like the 'is it smiling' part kinda ruined the atmosphere a bit. Also, when someone runs past the window, we assume there really was someone out there, but in the end it seems there wasn't... or if there was, that it wasn't relevant at all. Maybe you could've used a noise to give him an excuse to turn? Feels like a loose end otherwise, but overall I love the idea! Creepy stuff.

Mckodem responds:

Thank you the feedback. The shadow running past was someone running past (there's also something else that happens in the animation which show someone is in the place) and yeah it was mainly to throw off the viewer until the target could move, but I like the noise idea, or maybe something supernatural could have worked.

Agains thanks for the review.

Haha, the way of the world... wide web! Said in a fun way, but with a sad truth embedded in that awesomely jolty narration. Though of course there's no sell-outs here, where profit's long down the line of incentives, down past awesome critique and passionate users who know there's an individual behind the art! Keep up the groovy works!
