Another cool dude! I like the gritty outlines on this one, and the form's great, all that's missing is a little detail. That background though... seems familiar... it's not your own is it?

nope, "borrowed" this background. Did that when I was learning to use gimp. Not exactly proud to be honest but I didn't originally made it to upload. It was more of a "why not upload it" thing.
Looks like a pretty cool dude! The fill-in's are a bit sloppy, but I like the sketchy style otherwise. Maybe you could experiment a bit with nuances and textures apart from the outlines and fills? Keep it going!

Yeah, this mostly the product using cimp for the 1st time. It was more me experimenting in the program but now that you point some stylistic parts of it, I kinda wana mix the sketch line and add some asian styled faint water coloring.
That ball of energy looks a bit edgy! Might be nice with some glow around it, some type of fade; some background? Character looks good! Simple but well-formed.

Thanks for your input! I agree with what you said as far as the aura ball. I might touch it up a bit. As far as backgrounds go, I don't feel as though I would do the foreground art justice (being as bad as I am at backgrounds). Thanks again!
So... which styles are being copied? It's pretty cool how the image layers above the background, the blue outlines like ghosts on the site, but as a miniature it's a hard color to see, specially if the room's lit by sunlight.
-cd-
probably should have mentioned which styles i copied, and i dont know why the images are transparent, i guess that's because its a png file.
A slice if the wise! Interesting with the play of colors, like a formation of aura, a channeling of energy, and the ground is rounded as if the worlöd's but a platform up to the stars. Nice work!

Thanks Cyber! This export actually has a huge error in it. There's a layer visible that was sposed to be dumped. I tried to delete and re-upload but to no avail. In this site I believe it shall have to exist with it there.
Hah, didn't actually realize you'd drawn this yourself when I checked out that animation! Was thinking more artists should skim the art portal, pick something out, make a personal interpretation of it... would be a fun idea for a collab. I like the sketchy style in this, and the way it's all framed in. Feels like the gradient sky doesn't really fit though. Keep it going!
-cd-
Thanks again Cyber. I been thinking talong the lines of your colab idea. I'm a bit back logged on my own things, but when I have time again, I plan on attempting to animate some of my favorite artist's illustrations for fun. It's a great learning exercise.
I'm wondering how that yellow would look on skin, hmm how about a skin-tone color as background, to emulate the effect? Is your name going to be on the actual tattoo? :P I like the inky, blotchy parts, the octopus seems a bit simple in comparison, but form is funky and fluent. Are those... twirly hairs on its head? Btw, any meaning behind the motive? Nice work!
-cd-
I'm just trying to emulate the artist and style of my first tattoo. I have a surreal jelly fish inked on my back but Linn Olofsdottor didn't have any other work in the same vein (aquatic sea creatures) so I drew this up. I also really just wanted to design my own tattoo this time around.
The yellow dots will NOT turn up on skin. Good catch. My other tattoo has a similar yellow circle inked in it and the only reason why I can see it is because I know it's there :p
My artist name will be removed in the ink. I'm trusting that the tattoo artist will take a few creative liberties as well. If not I'll recommend it where ever they feel safe doing so. I gave the last tattoo artist that liberty and it payed off. If I like their portfolio pieces what could be the harm in giving them a little freedom?
Thanks for the review cyber devil!
lmao, without even batting an eye! :D I'm thinking it looks a bit phoney somehow...

I see what u did there :]
The portrait itself doesn't look very humanlike IMO, the dark mouth, lack of facial features... though I guess that's supposed to go with the 'white death' theme. You definitely get a sense of cold. I enjoyed reading the historical blurb that went with it though, an impressive person!
-cd-
Yeah, I went with this other picture where he wore a mask with only eye holes over his face (to protect him from the cold). And of course I wanted to get it to the viewer that this guy sat in extreme temperatures just to kill Russians.
He was an extraordinary man!
In case you're curious about that, its right here

I'll keep your pointers in mind for the next one, though. Thanks for the input!
Oh what a monstrous entity! I haven't seen either of these, but I recognize the Adventure Time character in him at least. Those eyes are crazy. O_o Nice background energy, nice color and shading, nice work!

:D Thanks man!!!! I was cossing the two series, its beacuse on internet are many theories that both series are from the same universe. Anyway you should see bravest warriors its better than A.T.
So thanks again dude!!!!!
