So that's how these hybrids happen huh! It's.. interesting! The Pikachu 'blob' on the face feels a bit off, but otherwise good combo.

JordanStubbs responds:

thanks, the blob was on the pokefusion sprite and I didn't realise until after the upload that neither pokemon had a blob on their faces,

Hmm first impression was he was running, but there do seem to be a few fishes swimming about his head, and bubbles, and algae. It has all the elements of a pond, and yet not the pond itself - or maybe it's just his pose that doesn't feel like an obviously underwater one? Drawing itself looks great though.

NessaHolm responds:

thank you for the feedback! Maybe an underwater reference will help me in the future :)

That's some pretty impressive detail on all those puzzle pieces man, on this puzzlepieceman! Nice.

Thanks!

She really has evolved through the years! Interesting process to see, and you've really improved on drawing body parts, and natural shading. Style still feels a bit unpolished/sketchy/sometimes disproportionate, but with all this progress in such a short time I'm really looking forward to seeing how she'll evolve in just another year! :D In a way, it's like she's growing up through your artworks as well, she looks a lot more grown-up and sensual in the later pieces. Nice work!

Thank you! I always feel like I've started doing art way too late. I've spent my whole teen years believing it's not even worth trying to draw and it wasn't until the college started that I started doodling... on my tablet, in gimp, with my very fingers
If it wasn't for Alex and other OCs of mine, I probably would have given up, but visualising characters for my little writing was the thing that kept me going.

Thanks for your imput again, this piece is really important to me and a couple words of advice and encouragment is all I really ever needed. Cheers!

That about sums up viewer expectations too. XD Nice pun-up piece.

TheEarGuy responds:

Yeah one of the things that keeps you going in art is the thought that you've contributed to an increase both in boobs and terrible puns on the internet :D

A fitting combination. :) Also nice character art. Pose feels a bit similar to Hobbes (in Calvin & Hobbes) - wonder if there's any subconscious similarities there, maybe? Nice work. Simple but good; with a feelgood mood.

theMix85 responds:

Great eye CD , exactly my inspiration was Hobbes :D

lmao, imagine taking the subway some late night and seeing this. XD Doesn't look all that realistic, but imaginative; awesome! Also nice easter egg with Jazza in the background there.

theMix85 responds:

Haha, that would be a sight :D. Thanx, this was my first try of something little more complex (for me). Jazza is so relaxed dude, I put his avatar there knowing he wouldn't be angry or offended.

That guy getting his arm sliced off kind of looks like One Punch Man hmm... can't be though! He doesn't bleed bright pink and purple!

Overall really smooth work with this piece, I like how the sword almost goes out of the one-dimension, but the character art's definitely the best part. Things that look a bit weird: the trees (a bit strangely solid outlines - but then again it seems like a strange world, just catches my attention), and the splatter (a bit fuzzy and thick). Overall though: very nice! Smooth outlines and real professional texturing/color for both foreground and background.

GrahamDrawsButts responds:

Great critique! I do have some up coming works with those trees, and definitely some more gore... so ill look back to this for reference!

Such an awesome gathering of spirtes, and so much detail! Very nice.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Much like legions of battle sprites.

Tear of yearning huh, that's new... at least in art form. You capture the emotion nicely, and the hand really reaching out. Still the background conveys something more somber than a warm embrace, unresponded love? Some such symbolism? Looks good.

PickledGear responds:

Thanks, this drawing has kinda become its own thing separate from the story I read that I based it on while drawing. Many people see her as a lonesome spirit/ghost who is looking for someone to keep her company.
But that's just what some people see in this.
