Yes we can! :D Nice twist on the original, and also an inspiring one in that if we really do all pitch on on the project it'll be a great Christmas for all. The message speaks by itself with his image. Feels like a more muscular Santa would make it even better, but I guess you're going the realistic route? A realistic Santa *paradox*? :P Nice piece.

Thank you so much dude :)

A classic. :) Is it on a real canvas though? Oil? Can't quite place the texture, it seems fuzzier than it usually seems... but motive otherwise: OK!

BrandyBuizel responds:

Yup! It's acrylic paint on a canvas board.

A custom character? For something particular - animation, comic, etc? Reminds me a bit of Motoko from GITS, though she definitely has her own style too. Really like the red shades, and the contrast with the hair. Looks good!

EvilNeonArts responds:

Thanks a lot man. I Love blue hair, but I wanted something I could cosplay, but also wanted to be original at the same time. I'm still developing his clothing and stuff. Soon.

And now after the other picture an all the more sinister piece! :D Like you're depicting the two centerpieces in one epic fairy tale? It's another nice piece, atmospheric and elaborate.... the background in particular seems incredibly detailed and jagged. As for things to improve: her skin tone looks a bit yellow, and the fabric/texture of clothes and hair doesn't all seem as natural as it could be. Facial expression and features are very much like the other character as well, so maybe practicing differences there could make for more expressive characters? Overall though looks great!

Curious about that first piece though, it isn't by any chance the other one you recently posted? Feels like there'd have been more progress since then... that one looks just as good.

Again, Thank you for the review. I definitely need to practice the things you have mentioned. Fabric, especially very thin fabric is hell to learn. But I truly value your insight.

I have decided to only post my more recent things here as my older pictures were pretty awful. I never thought I would ever learn how to draw. So if you want to see the picture I drew a year ago, you can cringe at it here https://ronniethezombie.deviantart.com/art/Boredom-Fanart-658055179

Like an angelic apparition in the dark of night! I love the LIGHT, how it radiates and rises and really seems to emit pure goodness, and the background scenery's just as beautiful, blue and soothing and so many shades. As for the motive... not sure how to interpret it. Seems the guy's being enlightened by the book, but the book as in: religious context? In the wisdom of knowledge? In a fictional plane; of magic and myth and mystery? Curious as to if there is and if so what the meaning behind the motive might be. Nice piece!

Thank you for your review. As for the context, I prefer leaving it open to interpretation. As I do with all my pieces. Although I can say that this piece was inspired by a modern day fairy tale. Here is the characters if you would like to get the idea https://nancyshaffer.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/emma-henry.jpg

I like the style, and poetical touch... though was thinking it was some custom lyricism before I read the description. XD Should probably refresh my Black Sabbath know-how! Used to listen to them a lot too. Nice work.

Thanks!

Is that... love? The speech/thought bubble seems to clash with the melancholy motive, if the black's meant to mean a lack of, maybe something like a shattered bubble, or a cross, or the heart in two pieces would get that across better? Everything else about it is beautiful. The sun. The girl. That cats. A sad but serene scene, somber yet spirited, and theme maybe referring to the bridge over troubled water? Really nice piece.

Thankyou so much!
And the heart speech bubble is like my signature watermark so I cant really do without it.
Only the prints I sell are without watermarks

Looking daunting and diabolic! Red gloves like invisible hands grasping after her too. Great work!

FuShark responds:

Thanks!

It's like a piece of architecture. Beautiful summetry. Art-itecture? :P How this could pop up out of nowhere though... would be interesting to hear more about that! Out of nothing? Out of a particular brush? Out of the program crashing...? Does look cool.

Horsenwelles responds:

i made a grid, put a texture below it on a different layer, set an alpha for each box of the grid, rotated it in a tween, converted them all to individual frames, then i hit the "affect all frames onion" button and boom

it appeared before me. i thought it was cute, genuinely breathtaking, and worth putting up.

A pixel piece with familiar characters for once! :D Interesting arrangement, and of course awesome sprite work! So close to the originals I hope you don't get into any copyright issues for it... good stuff. Happy Anniversary too! Sure has been a long time...

Thank. I struggle with the anatomy since I'm practicing how it works.
