A smooth autumn tone on this one... and hey Bosa said it way better than I was trying to word it. :D I like the heavy brushes on this one. Simple but so nice how it sets the scene. Especially the water below the bridge. White edges peel away at the illusion there is no canvas on some bits by the water. Nice works these are! Simple motives but wrapped in light; contemplation.

Thank you! The heavy brush strokes really bothered me, so I'm glad you're ok with them.
Canvas and oil paints are new to me.

Doesn't dry even with the kind of weather you have over there? Strange paint. I do like the motive: colorful, exotic, full of variation and vividness... not all forms the most realistic, but it's nice to look at. Not all green, but all nature.

Well in Louisiana it's very humid, but isn't oil paint notorious for taking forever to dry? I guess I should talk to artists in other regions!
For the record, it's finally dry now!!!

Now this is pretty amazing! Do like these collages of ink, textures, patterns and pieces that all flow together... and a massive dose of code to decypher too! XD About Blake hmm... a personal message weaved both in cypther and within lines. Feels familiar. Similar to the last. Comment seems... somewhat depressing!!! Hope you're stepping up the happy ladder though. Nice work. Also curious how large it really is - what kind of paper do you draw on?

These are pretty much like therapy for me, lol.
Yes I get it all out! I couldn't even fit all the code, but basically it was asking a "grown" man how he is so totally ok with hurting a young person who never did anything to him at all. I think his inability to empathize or see things from other points of view makes it a moot point. But if you have a daughter one day, how would YOU feel if this were done to her???
Tbh. Probably nothing. He will have kids one day. And if it doesn't work out with the mom, it's obvious he will just leave, and to hell with those kids.
And man I NEVER pegged him as that kinda guy. EVER. 12 years is a long time to know someone and I never saw him capable of doing this.
So I'm doing very well, and I'm very happy-- but disillusionment hangs over me.
My sketchbook is 9×12 I THINK, but I can never scan my entire works! So I think I will go buy an 8×10 sketch book.

Warm and wonderful! So much color and contrast in this one, and a feathery sidekick for bonus points. :D Nice.

Thanks Cyberdevil, I'm glad you like it

Such detail! Such an awesomely imaginative motive too! Seems to perfectly depict the essence of 'heading for the stars'. Beautiful work.

THanks a lot ! :)

Same here, though when everyone else is celebrating it almost feels like we are too. :) At least it's not winter over here though! XD How's the winter weather over there though? Still warm? Happy 4th! Nice piece too.

It's cold as heck. drawing is physically impossible in the mornings because gloves.

It's a shame we never got to see that hilarious accident tho! Quick transition almost seems to be in effort of saving on drawing time? ;) Digging the switch of scenery though, and the prospect of immortality hmm... wonder if there's a catch!

ChazDude responds:

We saw the accident. That big explosion!

Seems like something spooky going on here! Nice work with the shading. Good stuff.

Thanks!

Looking somewhat edgy, but good! A quire of background characters showing interest too, of which one seems oddly familiar... cool doodles.

cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers brah!

Course still really digging these portraits too! Bright and beautiful. So open-eyed and clear there's almost... something deceiving about those eyes. XD Mysteries like with the Mona Lisa in those details, with the yellow and green too... and an expression that seems up to the viewer to judge. Smooth form with the hair, great form and tone, and everything fades so easily into that background. Some blotches above the one eyebrow, but overall so close to perfection. Nice work!

You always find so much in a painting when most of my thoughts were "don't mess up 3/4 view, don't mess up 3/4 view..." I feel like you should be the artist here :D Thank you so much!
