Your drawing style's really evolved since last time I looked! So much clearer; more defined now I like how it's all framed in, like a comic, and with Samus in the corner like that there's a certain ambiguity as to if it's a real thing or more of a dream/thought bubble, which is cool. Smooth work! And seems like an interesting convo.

Thank you so much for your support.
You have been a fan from the beginning, and have encouraged a lot of my work.
I know a lot of the votes I have received I would not have had them if it was not for you.

I am hoping to transition just as smoothly into the next segment of this conversation.

Pretty smooth work again! Strong contrast of colors and a refreshingly tilted background too. Looks good! Simple is good too.

gatekid3 responds:

Thanks, and yeah, that contrast is why i love her design already even though the game was only just announced.

What a beastly piece! Was thinking Spawn when I clicked the thumbnail, but should've looked closer at the eyes. They really are pretty alike though, come to think of it - anti-heroes from different eras. Awesome detail in this, and focus. Could've been a movie poster!

TristanTait responds:

Haha Yeah the two have pretty similar heads with the whole black with big wild white eye shapes, I think the teeth are a bit of a give away though :p haha
And thanks! the original idea was to have Venom as a background to a Spider-Man piece, but I dropped Spider-man from it which is why it's opened up heaps at the bottom and suits the whole movie poster vibe. I should drop a big 'VENOM' title in there ;)

Love the color, form and everything! Maybe the grainy texture on the classes isn't optimal, but apart from that: so awesome. Kinda wish I'd chosen a tiger as my icon back in the day... this would've been the perfect shirt.

Oh hey you forgot the whiskers. :P

You hit the nail on the head with this one CD. Also I kinda get you and me felis mixed up for a strange reason.maybe its because you wear glasses as your logo...

Now this is really something else! :D Trippy, colorful, and interesting how all these different forms and creatures combine... it's like a mesh of classic game resources, though of course all custom. Props on managing the isometric bits with what seems like such ease, too! And nostalgically oldskool looking textures for the platform-like bits! I'm almost enjoying the background more than the characters, it seems... but this is great.

Just realized it may be a homage to the game huh! Only ever played Croc 2, but it was great (and had one of my top two favorite soundtracks of all time - I could coast through those tunnels with molten lava just to listen to the music, so groovy/spooky/ambient/awesome at the same time). Didn't recognize the reference at first, but it's got bobogobos and all (however that's spelled)! Nice. Croc homages are so rare it seems I don't even recognize them when someone finally makes them!

ChutneyGlaze responds:

No way Cyber Devil played croc!? That's so sick!

Whatever this shizzle is it seems to be entertaining. :) Expression's pretty basic but: effectual. Full collab coming out soon? Looking forward to it!

ThanksCyberdevil, I'm glad you like it.

Didn't realize you'd started with WIPs too! Really interesting to see part of the process like this, and how it could be in itself pretty much a finished piece. Just a little extra shading to match the face and it could be complete; a very different style from your usual work! Simplicity has its charm too, though interesting to get a glimpse of how much work really goes into those final layers; details. Good stuff.

Like this, btw, it almost has a Hanna Barbera feel to it.

Thank you Cyberdevil for your message, your words are really motivating

A smooth autumn tone on this one... and hey Bosa said it way better than I was trying to word it. :D I like the heavy brushes on this one. Simple but so nice how it sets the scene. Especially the water below the bridge. White edges peel away at the illusion there is no canvas on some bits by the water. Nice works these are! Simple motives but wrapped in light; contemplation.

DrSevenSeizeMD responds:

Thank you! The heavy brush strokes really bothered me, so I'm glad you're ok with them.
Canvas and oil paints are new to me.

Doesn't dry even with the kind of weather you have over there? Strange paint. I do like the motive: colorful, exotic, full of variation and vividness... not all forms the most realistic, but it's nice to look at. Not all green, but all nature.

DrSevenSeizeMD responds:

Well in Louisiana it's very humid, but isn't oil paint notorious for taking forever to dry? I guess I should talk to artists in other regions!
For the record, it's finally dry now!!!
