Getting some oldskool Monkey Island vibes with this one. :) Them details. Nice.

Those pipes, those hands, those crazy crayon-like textures and red tones that bright up the backdrop... can't wait for the video. And that expression. Perfect focus. Almost take that bit for granted.

This does pretty well as just an art piece. Video or no.

Bowsette looking pretty vicious! :D Not bad. Definitely an improvement since last year too, though the bricks seem a bit more like a frame than a wall she's breaking through - might be the flatness of it all. No short edges, or bricks getting pulled a different way.

Detail levels rising steady overall though! Looking forward to next year's rendition.

Imprez responds:

It actually is susposed a frame rather than a wall that's why I also tried to make them completely symmetrical. Thanks for the review and maybe I'll do another next year, who knows.

Woaaah. Ominous. Masterful. Love this.

Poster quality yet again! Nice.

Symmetrical and mad! You wonder: where you planning on mirroring this when you started making it, or did it just turn out that way? Either way: pretty cray. First impression it seems like it's all copied and spun around, but that's not the case either... that detail. Not bad.

im so glad you like it cd i planned it out like 30 times before i was happy with where things went i love symmetry but i wanted to give it that little bit more life so i started playing around with what i call rebel meeps , meeps that did not fit :P

Well that was trippy. As no doubt is the intention? Not bad.

CozmikZombiNG responds:

That was indeed what i was going for.

A drawing's good enough! Kinda flat poles there but the angle brings out the speed. The dust too. All the more relevant Area 51 brief blowing in the wind... nice way to bring that in.

Happy Madness Day!

Might be worth getting a better camera for these. :) This is awesome.

Regarding size btw, when there's no reference, maybe you could at least mention in the description how big the character is, roughly? An inch, a milometer? :P Would be nice to know.

Rukuha-san responds:

Yeah, this one's a little too bright.
I tried to photograph them with a normal camera, but it focuses even worse on small objects. And buying a macro lens is not worth it. I think when I change the phone, the camera on it might be better.
And it's a bit special too. https://sun9-37.userapi.com/c855028/v855028998/e7f72/dpQ5vYOb2ko.jpg
I'm sorry that I ruined the magic.
And floating hands.
So I decided to do more traditional compositions for art sometimes . To convey the situation and nothing more. But, I should probably write their sizes and/or make links to another picture in which clear size in the description. That's a good idea.
* whispers* I also have blue stars and red stars. I'm not sure who they're for yet, but still.

The head looks a bit blotchy, but form on the lower half in particular: impeccable. The feet. The pant texture/form. As it goes up it seems a bit messier/cut, but still impressive.

With the construction background that... that does distract a little. White canvases seem to work well.

Rukuha-san responds:

Yeah, the design of his head reeeally puzzled me. (≖_≖۵) In trailer this is pink the fire(that how I know was initial design in the game), but in game his head is a greenish-brown clot snot and algae with pink glow whith a yellow spark.
Oh, AND when you play it's just black smoke.
It can be drawn, but sculpted? (;; ಠwಠ)...
I tried to do smoke with the wool, but particles (hair) were too visible and not had been good for this. I also thought about making transparent parts to support the plasticine smoke, but it just looked bad...
So I ended up reworking parts of it a few times (which I don't usually do) and it just came out with a pink fire-head because I couldn't think of anything else.
So Yes, his head is blotchy because it has a layer of that shiny soft plasticine that the dragon is made of (only pink) and I decided not to make the surface smoother because then the fire becomes "wet-looking" and looks more like tentacles than fire. ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
And Yes, that background is just a mess. I usually prefer to photograph the figures in the sunlight on simple sheets of A4 paper and since I often sculpt at night, the morning sun is perfect for illuminating the figures.
Lamps are different. They are too yellow, too white, too bright, too focused, give a strong shadow and so on. I know there are "light boxes" but I don't think I have a need for them.
Also I always adjust the brightness a little bit and stuff. And also "clean" figure a little. It is much easier to remove a speck of dust on the computer than to arrange a new photo shoot for 50 photos again.
Yeah, you've seen those parodies of "professional photographers" in movies where they take a million seemingly irrelevant photos. I understand now. Even with compliant and immobile "models" like mine, it takes a lot of shots to get a couple of good ones. About 5% can be called successful, but even they require additional work.
So in short, I wanted to show someone 3 figures of the Dead Cells characters (by the way, you reminded me that I forgot to post 2 of them on newgrounds, but they are on devianart, where almost all of my stuff is) and just decided not to wait until the morning, and then I was too lazy to take more pictures.
But maybe I should.(¬▽¬;)
Oh, I almost forgot. Thank you for your kind words, darling uwu
I'm not sure that "impeccable" is the right word to describe my work, but thank you.
