Thang!

Bling!

Ca$hin!

Glowing stones with gold tones!

Glowing stones with red tones!

Led thrones with dead gnomes!

Pet drones with lead bones!

Med-prone Dredd clones that shed stones!

Judge Jones with drills to break rocks!

The Pox Doc with pills to drop pops!

The forgotten one and Judge Jones to steal ice-cones! (and made the children cry, evil!)

The forgotten who? A gloomy dude with two shoes and new views who brews gruesome recipes for true eternal youth with voodoo? This is getting out hand. O_o

Well is just natural that is getting out of hand, since after all the forgotten one, doesn't has hands, but his two shoes are madly fine looking, some say his shoes a way to distract the focus on his lack of hands...

What happened to his hands, did his two hands get chewed and renewed as new shoes, so we walks on crude sand with shoe hands as a cool dude man?

Oh damn that explain his coolness! those nice leather shoes were hand made with and out of his hands! well that explains we he keep insisting.... saying that his kicks were actually slaps, those poor hoes were so confused....

Hand made shoes sound grand, wonder if there are shoe made-hands, today's shoes are just too damn bland, these dandy shoes could use some handy hands to do some groovy brands.

Have a nice day man. :)

A nice day to you too! :)

Dude forget all about this guy and his handy shoes i have some hella One piece spoilers for you!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sabo is aliveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're waaaaaay ahead of me! Should probably start reading the Manga so people can't reveal the plot like this!! :C Groovy btw, wouldn't have thought any more of Sabo anyway!

Not like is really a surprise to anyone really, but still!!!!!

I'm surprised! :P I probably didn't ponder his significance as much as I could have though, since I kinda assumed the whole arc with him/Luffy/Ace was filler, to make the emotional loss seem all the bigger.

Nah man remember that Dragon was there in town, and indeed was Sabo who told him about the plans to purge garbage town, and when all ended there was this one page small flashback, when they rescue someone in the afternoon (this time data is the key here) of when the World nobles arrived, it was an unknown person (which it could only be Sabo) who was badly injured!

And then there was that third cup next to Ace grave, which was hinting even more.

Ah and Koala made a reappearance, i totally forgot who she was, so i reread the Fisher Tiger part, she was the former human slave that was being escorted back home by the Sun pirates, it was so epic, what was supposed to be a nice detail of irony was now re implementing it self to the series, and then there is Big Mom (Who i speculate is Lola's mom, i am calling it!), ah and we can forget the eventual battle with Kaido!!!!

Dude after Punk Hazard this gets so damn good, a bunch of old characters appearing after the time skip, characters like Bellamy that everyone had forgot all about, and others we could never forget (Burgess), and then the new ones like Fujitora who is based on Zatoichi!!!

So far i have not find even one single Filler arc in the One piece manga, end even some episodes from the anime are based on single panel adventures from the manga.

On the other hand we have series like Bleach... now that's some disrespect with the readers...
You know another good manga is Kingdom, and Doubutsu no Kuni, but before you go there you have to see the 2 movies of One piece that interconnect with the story, those are Strong World and Film Z, especially Film Z so you can see how badly was Aokiji after the battle with Akainu.

But all in all you have one advantage, you wouldn't have to wait in cliffhangers!!!

The weirdest thing happened when I tried replying to this message just now: http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/176d145451ceb18007109703e59015b8

Anyway, onto the response: Hmm, Dragon was there? Don't remember that, I just recall Sabo's boat getting shot down, and I thought that'd be the end of it. You've really paid attention to the details! I don't remember Ace's grave at all, or Koala... could it be the manga differs a bit from the anime? Whaa... no battle with Kaido? Actually better not explain that, I'd rather be surprised. :P

I thought Bellamy was dead too. Oh, a character based on Zatoichi... looking forward to that! Have you watched any of the movies btw? I have the original 20-something but still haven't made my way through them.

Well yeah, I meant the filler in the anime. Since the anime started catching up to the manga there's been a lot of that, and a lot of spacing-out battles that reduced the overall experience, like the big battle at marineford, the anime version of that was a bit of a dissapointment, started off great and ended great, but everything in between is just a lot of running and running and running and getting nowhere, and people waiting, and starting to do something, and waiting again... it's the manga that really tells the story after all, but I've decided to save the manga for last. First watch the anime, then relive the story as it was meant to be read. :)

Haven't heard of either Kingdom, and Doubutsu no Kuni, will check them out. Film Z doesn't sound familiar either, but Strong World was awesome! Do you watch the anime btw? Sounds like you've watched the movies at least? I loved Bleach btw, glad they halted the anime to let the manga move forwards without having to add filler arcs, those killed the series a bit.

These sound like some major cliffhangers I'll be waiting on though. :P

Ah well, off to watch episode 625 now, Sunday is airing day for the anime version.

Nothingness is so special isn't it??

Indeed, it's something else!

Wow that has happened to me when i try to edit my comments, and the characters limits bugs out allowing me only a hundred of them, or thousands! it would be nice though, if there where no limits!

Dude Trafalgar was almost dead and is now being kidnapped, i don't see them going against Kaido any time soon XD, oh shit i explained...

Yeah man one piece is one of those series that made me put real attention to it, and go back and reread and say, oooh shit yeah this was hinted! or damn so this guy was THAT guy, and so and so.

I have watched the most recent ones, and read some manga adaptation mostly Sabu and itchi, detectives in feudal Edo, ah and some of the black and white anime, but no the old movies i have not see them, i have wanted though, the guy is quite the icon.

Oh is going to be quite the wait then.

Yeah i watch the anime from time to time, mostly the parts that i really want to see animated, like this arc, but lets say the fishman island the arc of the Ryugu kingdom i skipped that.

Well i do beliebe bleach is better as an anime than a manga, for animation and sound production, because as far as history goes... for starters there is no defined direction, Ichigo himself is quite empty as a character, it pains me the comparison but even Naruto wants to be town mayor (hokage XD), Ichigo on the other hand... bleach is practically an slice of life series with lots of action, and filler, even in the manga there is filler and that is unbelievable, characters come and go without greater influence in the story over all, and even if Ichigo loses it doesn't feels like any greater thing.

Oh man Kingdom is great, the anime has this thing against it and is that is using this new CGI technology, but if you pass by that, it is a great experience, and the manga is even better and uncensored, the other one i mentioned is another shounen, by the creator of Zatchbell, and of course any fan of One piece should try his hands on Toriko, is like One piece but instead of pirates we have chefs! but out of all of these Doubutsu no kuni is my favorite, that series goes so hard on reality it has made me even cry, i mean when ace was killed i teared a bit, but with DnK i cried with only one eye it was so awkward.

Indeed today is the next ep, but i will watch it tomorrow, since i have some essays to finish...

Ah, haven't experienced any strange character limits myself. The site be bugging! I did just notice that URLs finally work in comment responses though, that's pretty useful.

Haha, you mean that! Well in the world of One Piece the characters seem to recover real quick... at least Luffy. It seems like their destination is mapped out already, though who knows (well you know, but don't say it! :L) what awaits them at Dressrosa, or what obstacles may come in their way...

A lot of those details that give future events away are probably lost in the anime, if they don't know the details will lead to something at the time an episode is released (I doubt Eiichiro proof-reads the anime scripts, but who knows...) some things just might be omitted... guess there'll be plenty of time to research that later on though.

There's Zatoichi Manga too! Woo, didn't know that. I loved the movie from 2003, not so much the one that came after that... haven't watched any of the earlier movies completely but they seem very different. In a good way.

Yeah, a long wait indeed... but no rush. I don't like waiting for things, so this way I'll just have to wait once to read the entire manga series, not wait for each new chapter... in addition to the anime... and then not get as much out of the anime since I already know what's going to happen... and reading the manga first, and then watching the anime would be a real decrease in quality too. Tthis seems like the logical order.

Ah, k. Some recent arcs really aren't as good as they could have been, my favorite anime spot is slowly being overtaken by the new Hunter X Hunter... but One Piece will always be the most memorable.

lol, town mayor. :D Well that's an interesting inlook on the manga, somehow I've never thought there could be filler in the source, just in the animated port. In terms of production quality, Bleach really was amazing when it first started out, and it just kept going! Naruto became worse and worse prior to the Shippuuden facelift, as do most long-running series, but Bleach has always stayed on track. The filler was always a separate arc instead of just spaced-out filler as well (if it was - it wasn't noticeable), which I really appreciate. So- maybe the anime ended because the manga was getting out of control rather than because the anime was catching up, hmm... still hope the anime will come alive again once the manga is over. Would be great to get some real closure on such a great series!

Toriko, I'm following that anime too! It's almost like a mixture of One Piece and Dragon Ball, with a little extra focus on edible items. :P Great series. In One Piece, I really didn't find the Ace moment so emotional as some of the other parts, like Sanji's flashback, or when the truth is revealed about Nami, or when Usopp and Luffy fought, or most of all... Merry's Funeral. So many emotional moments... I guess the anime easily gets a bit more emotional than the manga btw, when you get more than just the visual sense.

You just wrote an essay man. :P

Ok i will leave it as a surprise...

That's why i like the One piece wiki, they have that neat summary of things that happen and what the anime aggregates and what omits, and one hell of an skeptic community, which is of course great for a wikia, but damn it gets obnoxious with time...

Yeah the manga is quite good, an old one by the creator of Cyborg 009.

Ah but you miss this excitement of knowing when your theories are right and then shoving then on peoples faces... that just feels great XD, no but for real i prefer reading the manga then watching the anime, and i don't lose anything, it works for me because i already enjoyed the best of the plot i am going for the anime just to watch colors and movement, ironically japanese animation in general doesn't really has movement as one of their strengths haha.

Man i still haven't been able to recover with that reboot they are doing with HxH like for real, talking about censorship, they butchered the series, and when they finally got to the chimera ants arc, i was so exited, because the mange opens it hard, genocide, drugs, war, poverty, political crimes, it drops all that in the very first chapter, and then we go to the anime, is like drinking water with a little bit of sugar, and they try to pass it as juice... so i keep telling myself, maybe one day they will release it as an OVA and tell Miss censorship to go fuck itself, but is not looking good... HxH is a clear proof of how the times make a reboot worse than the original, i really ain't enjoying that anime, i am watching just because is there, but really what a bad job, and those theme songs, they couldn't miss be less representative of the situation even if they tried, on the other and we have animes like rainbow which theme song is damn spot on!

Sorry man but Bleach doesn't as a definite plot, if he wan'ts he can continue it forever, specially as things are right now, is a bunch of nonsense that was born after a filler arc, In. The. Goddamn. Manga... like for real... http://weareawesomeness.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/bleach_plot_lines.jpg
This must explain bleach situation perfectly, so perfectly i read the connections, in all directions up down, left right, and diagonals, they all make sense.... and it needs an update in the i am a hollow part, because this guy is everything, EVERYTHING, name a race in that world, it is on his DNA...

Ah merry T_T.

Appreciate it! :)

Ah, yeah the OP wikia wiki seems pretty useful. I usually go there when I forget the name of a character or place, not so much for more elaborate research... yet.

Ooh, Cyborg 009! Familiar titles keep popping up! I stumbled upon an old dubbed Cyborg 009 VHS a few years back, it was... not that good. I blame dubs. Good knowing btw.

But you just said yourself that you skip some of the less interesting arcs of the anime! :P Well I'm still saving the best for last, my anime-watching-style is more straight-forward. Not so much thought and theory = less anticipation. :)

That's true, especially when they're spacing out the content, in some scenes it's almost a bit ridiculous how they start panning out from one character, panning onto the next one... half-time... panning out again, panning from the next character again... close-up on face. Then!! Panning out again... -_-

Well I haven't seen the old version yet, so I guess I'm getting a much more positive picture of the new series. Comparing it to other anime rather than prequels though, what do you think? Are there any flaws apart from the differences? The animation quality is great, there's an interesting set of characters, and there's that big difference from most similar series in that even good guys occasionally die, the rare: expect the unexpected. I like the fact that anything can happen most of all!

Actual image of Bleach author in chart? I'll admit the plot shifts haven't always made the most sense, but I'm a very forgiving viewer, it's always had enough intrigue to keep me a loyal watcher. Maybe that'd have changed if they kept it going...

Yeah ='(

Haha well i really have seen only the most recent 2000's anime, and read the original manga, tell you the truth i am more of a manga guy, anime in general has too much moe and echines for my tastes... but that must be kinda evident by now XD.

Abandon the theory jump off the ship! but the captain stays!
Captain: why you traitors! why!? gulp gulp gulp....

Indeed and some times is just the characters talking without moving anything else, or the character who talks is off camera haha.

Well comparing it with its contemporaries, i have to say that indeed HxH is in the top list as quality goes, because in the end of the day despite all the horrendous censorship is still based on HxH, and most animes have to deal with this censorship too, what saves HxH is indeed its values, but we have to stop and think, is HxH in its censored state good for its own merits, or because it is competing against a bunch of mediocre series (damn right i said it, the competition is a bunch of semi erotic love comedies, that recycle and copy each other, that can only be: mediocre), so in the end we will find ourselves with the same tenfold of series battling each other, and HxH has to drag a glamorous past that is no longer there, while it is still advancing to a future, so as i say HxH's story is great in itself, and old (is from the 90's after all), so i will have to judge it based on production value, for starters it is censored like most things nowadays, the music is less philharmonic, and episodes are sometimes chopped, but that is happening to anime in general, so while is not the ideal we can say that HxH is doing its best for the times in which we are living, but i just can't help it since i know better than that, and remember that HxH deserves much more than what is being allowed to do, so while aesthetics and technology have advanced, the policies have changed for the worse, 4/5.

But my man that chart is pointing some of the shameless decisions of the author that affect the series, like firing his helpers, reusing and forgetting characters based on popularity, neglecting details in visuals to appeal trends (backgrounds VS clothing/Fashion), and neglecting the storytelling, and you know what? that is all fine, if the general public had bleach as a purely action oriented story, but that is not the case, it's being shown as a pristine production when that is not really true.

Hah, now there's evidence to the evident! :) I'd probably prefer manga myself if I had access to larger quantities of physical copies, right now I only have a few Dragon Ball, Kajika and then some magazines... somehow reading comics in digital format just feels tiring. When I sit by the computer I'm either actively doing stuff or I just want to be passive and follow the action, on the other hand when I'm not by the computer it feels much easier to read actively and really delve into the imagery. Or maybe I'm overthinking this, maybe I do prefer automated visuals rather than manual ones. :P There's something special about real paper though...

Haha

Yeah, the more I watch, the more I'm starting to analyze the techniques they use to cheapen the animation too. :) All the loops especially, it's really not easy to make a perfect loop, but for anime they do this all the time for effects. Wonder how much practice it takes to perfect such a skill, or maybe it's an Asian gene...

Hard to look at the series without thinking of the past huh? :P Sounds similar to the way I look at NewGrounds... I can't really voice an opinion on this matter until I've seen the old one, which judging by your comments would be better to do when this one has aired out so I'll get the best of both. It's like movies based on books btw, there are so many that just can't compete with the original literary work, maybe due to limitations in the cinematical form of media, maybe just because the producers want to please a broader audience... maybe because of the time limit, there's only so much you can include in a couple of hours. But then again a picture says a thousand words, and there are at least 24 pictures/second in a movie hmm...

Firing his helpers?! I must've skimmed a bit... sounds like the author's not a very admirable man. I did think that character clothing was swapped out unusually often in this series, and in the concept art they're always wearing different things... guess that explains that.

nice avatar man.
You rules.
All Hail Satan! :D

Thanks man!

3 uploads? when it rains it pours! haha. i will give them a listen.

When it rains it pours in fours! One more. :)

Thanks btw, just don't expect anything amazing!

I agree nothing beats owning the paper, but i have come to see that sometimes the quality of the digital versions is superior to the printed one, and that was conflicting for me in the beginning, but i guess that by now i am more desensitized with this, specially when i started reading things that were not officially translated, i guess that was a huge factor, specially for the most obscure ones, those mangas that i know if it wasn't for an scanlation group i would have never known of their existence.

Well that is the magic of Korean animation! i mean Japanese... no wait... yep Korean, it seems like they are outsourcing even what once was one of their prides...

Oh between the first anime of HxH and the current one the HxH while doesn't has the looks, takes its time to reproduce in a more loyal way the story in the manga, and it has way less censorship, so i don't really thing that is budget, or even technical difficulties, but merely social barriers, is censorship man, that nasty censorship, and then commercialism because they wanted to rush the story to get up to date with the newer arcs faster, so they cut some corners here and there in the current anime, and is funny because normally producers will add fillers to slow the anime, but with HxH the contrary happened, they shortened it to make it go faster haha. talking about HxH it is getting a movie... but is not the OVA of the Chimeras Ant *sighs*.

Well as i said, he can do that, he can fire his helpers, rush his work, stop drawing backgrounds to design clothing just to make his characters superficially more eye catching to the masses, that is fine, is a business, is how he makes money, it may feel wrong, and seem cheap, and i guess that is the point, that most people ignore that and put him in a pedestal. I guess my point is, that i agree with Bleach being a good anime, is entertaining, but as far as plot goes the whole thing is quite shallow... just to not say empty.

True. There have been a few Mangas I started reading online that I couldn't get ahold of elsewhere and really wanted to read too. Only one I remember now is Berserk, which the anime adaption really didn't do justice.. actually that might be the only one. I've read a few chapters of other Manga but I never made it a habit, for previously posted reasons... maybe, maybe others... the quality is definitely better in that it's bigger on screen, you can zoom in to see details if you want (assuming you have/there is a high resolution version of the manga) but that doesn't seem that important for all series.

Korea animation huh, I thought Japan did pretty much everything, though I remember watching some Chinese anime once, something about cooking... Back to Korean though, do you happen to know the names of any notable ones they're working on?

Maybe they assume rushing the story is what people want. I obviously don't know what I'm missing since the fast pace is one of the things I like about the new HxH, it's never dull! It just keeps going and going and going! :D So the chimera ants was originally just an OVA!? It felt like a natural part of the storyline in this one.

The whole hollow thing was pretty creative... but I guess a large portion of the backstory has its roots in regular Japanese culture... now that I think about it... true that.

Well i am also really into surreal, weird, dark dramatic, action, manga, normally for in the seinen category like Bersekr, Vinland Saga, Historie, 20th century Boys, Master Keaton, but you see those hardly (if not never) get an anime adaptation, so yeah... and at the same time they don't get picked up by publishers, at its best they get picked by dark horse, and it ends there, indeed i am partly learning Japanese, because i know that scanlations are no longer cutting it for me. So i am a mix of visuals, and plot, as long as at least one of those is being done well i am fine with the series.

Pokemon, Naruto, and a bunch of animes i really don't care about, so i don't even remember the name hahaha, but yeah most long running ones start getting partnered with Korea, indeed i think One Piece itself passed by this at some point, but i don't know if is still doing it.

No, no, let me explain it, by rushing, i mean they omitted parts of the story so they could get up to date faster, as for the OVA part, the original series was being released in an anime format as a TV program like the current one, up until the Phantom Troupe arc, from that point on, HxH was animated in OVAs, the advantage was that they had more time to work in the animation and detail, plus since it was produced as OVAs they could escape some censorship restrictions, and keep themselves more true to the original story, on the other hand the current animated adaptation, managed to go all the way until the chimera ants arc, which is also the only arc that was never animated, so is a moment of joy for everyone to finally get it animated, wile at the same time is a little bit sad, since it had to be animated under the restrictions of today's anime industry, and those restrictions steal great part of the experience, for example Kingdom is another anime that suffers greatly from censorship & that added to the use of CGI makes it really hard for people to get into the anime, even if the story is great (shitty visuals (anime only), great story).

He is not only a hollow my good sir, he is EVERYTHING!! haha, i guess in contrast, Bleach has good visuals and a shitty story, and that is the reason i am reading it, even if the author decides to slack at work (something that becomes more noticeable if he is working solo). Maybe the anime ended to avoid these times that would hinder the visual trip.

Out of all those the first mention is the only one I've heard of. I guess I'd like the other ones too, but I'm content with mainstream media for now (though I remember that time when anime still wasn't socially accepted and not every other user chose a name like The-Ramen-Noodle... good times!!). Manga is still pretty unique in how so much of emotion, sometimes even plot, is described through imagery rather than words. Probably easier to read untranslated Manga without any lingual knowledge than it'd be to read comics from other countries... Oh btw, anime is a great way to learn the language, you get the phonetics along with the visual meaning, even if the definitions at times turn out to be way off. :P I should be way better at Japanese considering how much I've watched, so far it's just stray words...

Interesting. Just watched a Korean dub of One Piece, different... not that that's relevant.

So they could get up to date? Is the Manga still ongoing?! Aha, got it. So in conclusion, this series would be way better if every episode was an OVA! Wonder how the technicalities for something like that would be...

Shitty story, but strong personalities all the same! It's only until Ichigo starts feeling purposeless I feel it looses a bit of its strength, but since you know much more than I there's probably not much to discuss here. I read an interesting article about mangakas btw, and their work hours. At the time of writing it was normal to draw six days a week, often more than twelve hour days, and the seventh day meet up with producer (or whatever they're called) to go through current work and plan next week in advance. Pretty intense! If he's slacking at work I can understand it. :P

Btw, have you watched/read: Grave of the Fireflies, Ghost in the Shell, Fairy Tale, Air Master, GTO, History`s Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Laputa - Castle In The Sky, Tsukikage Ran, Shadow Skill and Oni?
