This

Massage Message Maxmum Namber

Just give me a while to catch up, got some others to respond to too.

@Cyberdevil That sounds great.

Yupp. :)

welcome back

Thank you man!

lmao! This is going to my favorites...

Sorry but I really do have lots more I need to get to first, I will get to you!

Calm down dude

ok.......

???

@sleydaorkopys9 those ??? were supposed to be three thumbs up btw, seems all unicode emojis don't work yet...

???

Three thumbs up? XD

@Cyberdevil welcome back! the other swede i know goes by Epifon311 here on NG, does wacky music stuff. asked him where he disappears to, and he said some weird word. later it turns out the weird word was Västerbotten, or rather water button as I like to call it. no idea where, what, or why it is, but it is what it is.

pretty long vacation for such a short season haha

Thank ya Kolumbo! Ah interesting, and he makes music too, maybe there'd be potential for some collaboration there...

Ahahaha water button lmao! XD Västerbotten translates to West Bottom so you know. Or rather 'Bottom of the West'... in more proper grammatical form. That's pretty close to where I am every summer, just a little South of Norrbotten. The bottom of the North!

Definitely. :) It's the entire summer, pretty much, with a bit of Spring/Fall included.

@Kolumbo btw these buttons/bottoms are basically provinces, Sweden's divided into a bundle of 'em, good overview here (we're on the top right): https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landskap_i_Sverige#/media/Fil:Sverigekarta-Landskap_Text.svg

@Cyberdevil Ooooooh snap Cyberdevil and Epifon linking up!!!! I'm ready. And it is inktober soooo ;))

hahaha i mean, the water button thing just makes sense.. Väster reminds me of the german word for water, and Botten is clear immediately :D needless to say, my understanding of swedish is more than extremely limited in all possible capacities. but yeah, i get it now. fun that you have a different word for counties/provinces.

so it seems that you both go north over the summer. is it related to those famed looooooooong days up there in the north or?

Yeaaah it is. :D Finna skim through his repertoire and see if he's up for something...

I mean it SOUNDS about the same but the wording makes no sense to me. XD What a fun mirage though; parallel in pronunciation whatever you'd call that kind of creative verbal composition. Not a standard everywhere huh, how's the province naming game in your country? Do you have similar geographical regions? Could off course go Wikipedia but...

Well the days are pretty much days all night all through June and July, but you really can't stay up longer regardless. :) More so the warmth I think. It's just a nice season up there. It's bright, warm, green, unexploited, lots of waterways... really feels like utopia when the season's at it's peak. In my case it's mainly to farm, but I do love it there.

@Cyberdevil fuck yeah i am now eagerly waiting for the ultimate swedish musical experience. abba just got btfo

hahahah yeah, water button indeed makes no sense, but that's precisely why i found it so funny. love me some non sensical anti-joke humor.

over here we just call em counties (of course in our own language - "okrug") and we have no wacky stuff like bottoms and all that.

love me some nature, so i get ya. and those no-night nights always seemed like the coolest thing ever since i was a kid. one day i'll experience em, it's a must!

oooohh farming? what are you growing?
personally recently acquired some land and am prepping it for next season to grow peppers. already got some seeds, and will get others right before the season. by my current calculations i will have around 100 plants consisting of 7-8 varieties. considering they're mostly superhots i feel like i kind of took it too far (or rather, will take it) but hey - it is what it is. might try bottling and selling some sauces since i make some pretty solid ones. who knows.

Haha, I skimmed through his repertoire and it seems he raps too though, no 100% instrumental tracks readily available! I'll have to reach out for something.

I do too dude. :) Fun connection; connotation there!

Oak rugs huh. :P Wonder if counties are the more common contenders as far as the word for regions as so go, think the US uses that term too... lol, nothing wrong with bottoms though!

Hell yeah! If you're ever near here you gotta come visit. :) Closest airport is Luleå, we can pick up. I grew up with those no-night nights so I suppose I never really recognized how special they were, but I do love the light, it's in so much shorter supply right now. FYI I'm up North again a few days, keeping the fire burning pretty much all night and day now, it really ain't the ideal time to be here! But the view's great. No leafs in the way...

Everything! :D Potatoes, carrots, parseley, dill, fennel, different beets, sugar snaps, basoil, thyme, oregano, mint, squash, cucumber, tomatoes, different types of cabbage, salad, kale, red and yellow onions, coriander, spinach... i*m pretty sure I'm forgetting something. Berries too.

Oh that's awesome! One of few things we actually aren't growing too! XD What kind of varieties? Is the plan to dry, make sauces, all for personal use or commercial too...? We had a pepper plant indoos for a while, that was nice, though didn't get that much use in regular family cuisine. Oh you mention going commercial with it! :D That is a lot man, but sounds fun!

Personally all the stuff we grow is just for private consumption - and mostly during the season we grow 'em - only berries and potatoes last almost all through the winter.

ever seen Moon(2009)?

Hmm! I have actually, though missing a review. I mentioned it here, don't remember it much though: https://cyberd.org/synchronicity-2015.html

@Cyberdevil I've heard some sick beats he did, maybe not up on NG, haven't checked. If anything, could get him to hop on for a guest verse - as you both do wacky rap stuff.

Hahahaha oak rugs, yessir!

For sure, if I find myself up there, will definitely shoot you a message! Not ideal now? Cold or?

Oh snap, that's borderline ALL THE THINGS! I was going to call you out for having kale, oregano & spinach but no dill. Then I re-read and spotted dill up in the first row. Good. All is forgiven. Mint's an interesting one, I don't know anyone who grows mint. Not sure what your zone is, but I assume it's the same (or off by 1) as here - when do you do onions (& garlic)? Heard mixed things about overwintering them, and it is mid october so it's a good time to plant if overwintering. Got some seeds, but don't know if I should wait or go ahead and try now. Only 1 type of tomato or? I find all the different varieties fun, there's some insane ones..

Gotta get in on the pepper game, CD!!
The current plan is as follows:
Carolina Reaper
Zou-Pi
Cow Killer XL
Hallows Eve
Murupi Amarela (white)
Borg 9 (yellow)
Mustard Ghost
& I got some unmarked mild pepper seeds - gonna be interesting finding out what they are.
Might pick up some Buena Mulata as well just before the season, same with Scorpion.

Love me some superhots. Been a while since I've had any since the person I was buying them from passed away almost 2 years ago. His son attempted to keep the business running, but sadly nothing came out of it. Now I gotta grow my own and make my own spices & sauces, as all the other ones I've tried weren't as good as that one.

Commercial, maybe. As I said, I miiiiight try and sell some sauces or something. Will definitely have a lot more than I can possibly consume (if all goes well, of course) since most of them are superhots. If I nail a sauce, there's definitely options there for a business. Honestly, though, my initial plan was 40 plants, 4 varieties (10 plants per variety) just for the sake of dryin' em up and grindin' em. Then when the restock happened at the place I got the seeds from, it was one of those "kid in a candy store" things for me. Just couldn't stop myself from getting aaaaaaaallll theeeeeseeee peeeeppppeeerrrssss.

Also planted some cauliflower :p

You don't even sell at like farmers markets or such? Over here people usually do like you, grow for personal consumption, but more often than not they end up selling some stuff off after the fact. Maybe they grow too much, I don't know, but most people do like that.

Ah that's good to know! I sent out a PM when I wrote the last comment, no response yet, might not get anything going this year but there's always next time. :) Definitely should get some kind of collab going regardless!

:)

Oh yes, cold now! Matter of fact the last weekend I was there (two weeks ago): https://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/68ec014844b51b1d107505105eae0a98

I still love it there but not ideal for us at least, house not built to be heated this time of year. :) We're there most of summer, from late May till the end of September at least, just lemme know in advance and I'll be sure to be there.

Ahaha yeah dill's an essential, we have to have that here. XD Can't have our potatoes without it! Though it actually grew pretty badly this year. Have been substituting with fennel. Surprisingly similar when fresh. Mint's maybe the most easily grown herb we have actually, we have a few varieties, regular mint, Moroccan mint, apple mint, lemon mint, tried chocolate mint (it really is a thing - doesn't taste THAT much chocolate though) for a while too. Growth zones hmm, I'd assume we're a bit further North, it's #3 here: https://tradgardsdags.nu/en/pages/vaxtzoner-svenska-usda-europa

We plant pretty much everything in early June, sometimes late May. As soon as the ground's warm enough. If we did this professionally we could probably speed that up with a bit more coverage, but the natural span of growing crops up there is June > September. Some of the sturdier things keep going till the end. October's cold though. Only crops we've tried planting in autumn were carrots once, but they didn't grow better at all, seems the winters might just be too harsh there. Same with parsley - it's supposed to last two years, but rarely survives the winter.

Ah all types of tomatoes. :) Smaller kinds preferably. Cherry tomatoes, heart-shaped tomatoes, chocolate tomatoes, these really tasty orange ones... I don't recall the names of any though. Get back to you on this.

Wooooah man that's a dangerous set! Carolina Reaper!!! I thought some of these were trademarked actually - can you buy seeds for just any variety out there? Pepper X...? Honestly the only one I recognize in the list is Carolina Reaper, had to Google, they all look grim... is there any particular place you buy these? Any local pepper markets?

Dang... shame about the abandoned pepper business. Room to gain some market share if you want with that too then huh...

Such a mild veggie after all those peppers lmao. XD I'd love to grow some cauliflower too, wonder if we've tried growing some, maybe it's a bad zone for it... broccoli usually doesn't grow fast enough for us. But we still eat the leaves.

Ah no we've never tried that. It's a short growing season and far away from civilization, so we basically just eat all summer, and bring whatever's left with us when we leave the place. We definitely do have a surplus of salads and such though when we're there. Wonder if it'd be worth selling; if people buy... don't have a lot of local markets unfortunately, the shops mostly just import greens for cheap from Spain/The Netherlands.

If you're closer to STHML there's a bit more local product, but long way...

ever seen Mute (2018)?

Hmm no, looks like a good one!

Mute and Moon are indirectly part of the BladeRunner universe, btw...

Oooh! Even more interesting. Any particular order they should be watched in? If there is any form of worldly continuity between them?

Say what?

@Cyberdevil sslob,,....

That seems potentially mildly insulting y'know? Though may be an acronym I'm unaware of...
