You should hear the latest fart I made.

But not smell.

Could've recorded it hmm. Fortunately the tech just picks up audial resonance thus far.

bet you can't spell the full chemical name for titin

189,819 letters?! XD Holy shit... how hadn't I heard of that before...

And why would anyone make a word that long in the first place...

People made the word 'titin'
People made chemical nomenclature
Nature made the protein
So, if anything blame nature. People don't use that word anyway outside of classification. Think of 'titin' as the filename and the chemical name as the file contents

I guess the better question is why would such a thing class as a word hmm, seems more like a sequence of sorts. Or right, as you say, the content.

Fascinating though.

I guess the follow up question is what classifies as a 'word'. There are unwritten coarse rules regarding practicality. Overtly medical, technical, or overly long terms do not show up in a scholastic dictionary, nor does the latter show up in relevant literature or conversation.

Mmm, if you Google this it does turn up as 'the longest English word' but maybe that's not official then... others claim it's pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis...

Wonder if that shows up in a sholastic dictionary.

Hi.

Heya BumbyJumby!

sus

*shady with shades*

now you cant view comments on newsposts while logged out (or blocked)

Ohh... no wait, seems you can still see them fine if you're logged out right? Tested with this post. Though the design feels a little weirdly compact without the extra icons/reacts...

Maybe only hidden when you're logged out and blocked? Noticed you can be blocked by specific users from leaving reviews too recently, don't think that was a thing before.

yeah..false alarm. It appears the comments are obfuscated if you do not have comment privileges (either from being logged out or blocked) you can't access them directly from the homepage but rather you have to go to the news panel. Also I suppose blocking users from leaving reviews is OK, as long as they can still vote.

Ah, good to know. Makes sense they might want to make it harder to access private convos but at the same time it's all search traffic... I wonder what they prioritize.

I suppose so. Was a little disappointed to realize I'd been blocked by someone, of course, would've liked to know why, but it does seem fair. Freedom. Then again certain censorship. But then again...

not much just got back from playing advanced wars for a few hours hbu

Wooo how you liking it so far? Did I hype it up too much?

maybe not hyped up enough :P

I blocked P-Bot and G-Bot lmao. The daily portal news forum is empty. Also can't see blog comments if you blocked them.

Let me guess: ngman7? how did you find out? I can tell you why: you have 'devil' in your name.

Nice. :D Which version were you playing now, the original? How far in are you?

I wonder if they know you can do that. XD Account-related messages and all... interesting. Wonder if they'll ever notice. Will their automatic PM sendouts generate some kind of error if people block 'em, or will the automatic stuff circumvent said block feature...

Him too yeah, though that wasn't the review one. :) The one who review blocked me was a random NSFW artist I ran across during Synikal's recent A-rated monthly voting thing. Didn't know that I'd ever interacted with them before but I assume I must have left some unfavorable review on their stuff for them to do that. I rarely do that though. Pretty surprised.

As for ngman7 though I am kinda surprised about that too! I know he's a devout Christian, but was having a regular conversation with him just a while ago so he couldn't have had me blocked then. What happen. He can't have JUST noticed my username...

This block stuff eats at your mind a bit hmm! Don't know if I like it much. Real world you'd have to confront people if you want nothing to do with them; get a chance to actually sort things out.

1.0, just finished the training and am already addicted lol, I try to save video games for the weekend by I may not be able to resist this time lol

PMs from bots would bypass the block feature, i.e. you can't block them via a PM but have to manually do so under account settings.

ngman7 went on a recent blocking spree lol, there's a thread he made with a slew of posters realizing they couldn't respond to him

I agree, blocking people is running from the problem, I'm also big on forgiveness and enjoy when folk change for the better. But there certainly is a handful of posters here who trigger me on here and I try to avoid. Sensitivities all on me though. At the end of the day internets not real life so there's no lasting negative consequence from running from e-problems.

Aha. XD Good to hear you're appreciating it as much as I did at least! Spent many a sleepless night with that one, and the second, and the latest more so endless new age DS alternation... story-wise the first two are probably my favorites. Gameplay-wise I feel they just get better with each. They hook you in pretty quick hmm, good learning curve, good character introductions from the get go...

Been keeping an eye out on auction sites for the true originator and predecessor, GameBoy Wars. but seems real rare. Unless you don't mind paying collector values.

Ah good to know.

And about that too. XD I wonder if he realizes what he's doing there. Won't be much of the community left to interact with...

Mmm, no harm in running for sure, though blocking might also have the unwanted affect of aggravating... in a way you suppress a problem, that may just get all the more problematic without your knowing. There's that echo chamber aspect of it too, if you happen to block out those who just share a different view, as it seems for example ngman7 might be doing. We already have some of that with mainstream media/governments/propaganda of all forms, but voluntarily enforcing your bubble... goes against the core values of the Internet a bit I feel. The one layer of modern day reality that's meant to really keep communication open and free...

Anyway all that said I do have one user blocked myself too... little value in just excessive and unjustified reproach. Tis is a handy thing to have sometimes, just hope it doesn't get used too much for the wrong reasons.

wait...who the heck do you have blocked?

Well lets see, don't know the name by memory... oh hey actually I had three, hmm...

Don't remember why I blocked but one of 'em. I'll send a PM.

Yooo! user of the day :D congrats cd

Woooooo thank you nachos! Just took a couple decades!!! What a way to start the day...

Congrats, you're user of the day! After almost 18 years, looks like there's hope for us all yet!

Who would've thought! :D One more lifetime goal off the NG bucket list... almost feels like a rite of passage somehow...

Thanks man. Gimmick up next hmm? If you just keep postin'...

just finished a 2.5 hour 54 day battle wtf!

Wonder what you scored on that one? :) Just wait till you get to some of the final ones, if if it's not one of those you're on already...

just got out of 63 day battle!! but the game crashed before I could finish WTF! no i didn't save. these battles too big bro. these rounds takin longer than a game of monopoly bro. they let you save during a battle for a reason bro. we pullin all nighters bro. I hope you own rechargeable batteries bro.

Dammn man. XD I wonder how long my longest were hmm, can't remember. Some do be long though for sure though bro! NDS Lite with a charger ready to plug in whenever batteries run low > rechargeable batteries. ;) If you ever get that. Can play GBA games too. And the backlighting looks so much better! GBA SP works too. Backlight + charger.

You really pullin' all-nighters tho?! This be fascinating to follow, really tempted to pick up my old games too and play through, just once more now, just for nostalgia, just know I'd get stuck indefinitely again...
