what? raw potato tastes like a super-crispy, flavorless apple.

so I've see you registered @CyberdeviI but there's still @bobaxeII @bobaxeIl @bobaxelI

That's... a good thing right?

It's too much. XD I think I'll let it stop at potentially confusion-deriving ALT regs for my main account.

Hoooly shit! :O I think I... actually got rid of my craving for sweets. That just looks way too sweet. Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself right now... it does look... pretty nice...

lol. XD But why?! And who was Mega64? The Deleted user? Well it was a fun video... with that random entrance everybody's gonna see that.

nah, the cotton candy burrito looks and is disgusting.

i haven't had sweets for ~100 days, and any cravings are gone, and probably won't return. Thinking about eating candy or drinking soda makes me feel a little nauseated tbh.

Oh wow. Dedication! I still eat dark chocolate every once in a while, but not much else as far as sugary items are concerned. Oh yeah, ice cream... some of that too. And soda, sometimes, come to think of it... man I need to follow your lead on this one.

Chips are the big addiction though. Can't seem to stop liking those no matter how long I leave 'em.

oh, I consider chocolate and mints to be an exception to sweets. I have had the former (particularly chocolate covered nuts) in this timespan. At least the cocoa has some nutritional value- it's better than the high fructose syrup/starch/wax crap. Also, dark chocolate, comparatively speaking, is healthier than milk and white chocolate variants.

oh, and i've ate chips too. Just mainly baked vegetable ones that are generally healthy though. And tortilla and quinoa based ones. Better than the traditional variety, which usually isn't gluten free anyway. Which chips do you typically eat then?

Some chocolate does have lots of sugar and starch and stuff too though. :) Yes indeed, my sister's been enlightening us as to all the health benefits of dark chocolate, and raw chocolate in particular, over all other types. All her visits usually entail at least a small piece of chocolate after each meal... you could say she's an addict though. :P

Speaking of those (baked vegetable ones): I remember reading something about how they were generally more cancerogenous than regular potato chips, since they don't respond to heat as well, or was it that they reacted to the oil differently... not sure about details, but apparently they were not healthy! Kinda depressing read, since I've had some of those too, and felt like I was doing my body a favor. Tortilla ones have so much starch/carbohydrates too, but quinoa: awesome. Do you have any lentil chips over there too?

As for me it's usually potato-based ones, with any variety of spices I happen to stumble upon at a good price, or of a good brand; preferably both. Lately it's been a bit of: https://www.burtschips.com/ and http://www.gardschips.se/ (local product - they even have the name of the farmer on each bag, along with their longitude and latitude should you feel a need to inspect the source). But I'm really not disciplined enough with regard to what I eat here. I like all types. Do avoid Pringles though, and similar ones that aren't 'purely' sliced potato (I guess those would have gluten too). Any particular brands with you? Curios if we have them here. I have tried plenty of Lays, though we never had that one with a face on it.

no surprise...most women are addicted to chocolate

looks like you've created your own portmanteau ;) the word you want is 'cancerous' or more aptly 'carcinogenic' the former meaning contains cancer and the latter meaning cancer causing. some cooking methods are shown to cause rises acrylamide, a carcinogen (like a lot of things), but I don't think it's anything particularly more prevalent in baked vs fried chips. must have lentil chips over here but never tasted them...i also tried black bean chips, and those were pretty damn good...

judging a book by it's cover the Swedish garden chips look healthier than any Lays...the last time I had Pringles I ate the entire canister in one sitting. Favorite brand would probably be Sunchips (allegedly relatively healthy). Also good tasting but not good for you are gardettos, hot cheetohs, doritos, goldfish, cheez-its, many nabisco crackers & cookies, pepperidge farms sesame sticks...a las all of them contain wheat flour, and I do miss them to a certain degree. Fritos are devoid of wheat (but their manufacturing shares tools or facilities with aforementioned similar products, thus not certifiably gluten free) but a bit too salty for my taste...the bbq ones are pretty good tho.

Really? I wonder if they for some reason derive a greater euphoria from it than the rest of us..

Carcinogenic, ah! XD Got it. Cancerous has such dubious meaning these days - unless the context is clear. Yeah I wasn't referring to the baked vs fried so much as other vegetables than potatoes, but I don't recall the details anyway. Better live in blissful ignorance over these minor deviations in health derived from such similarly somewhat unhealthy things we willingly consume. :) Ah yes, tried those too, pretty good indeed! Really crunchy.

Yeah I'm hoping they are! They're pretty oily, so guess it all depends on the heat, but the main ingredients are all good quality at least. They are pretty addictive. XD Ah, Sunchips! Those were new to me. Gardettos, goldfish, nabisco crackers and cookies, pepperidge farms sesame sticks and Fritos too... man you've got a lot of brands. Quite a few more pretzel/soup stick-like ones though? I rarely eat those types. Guess most of those types having gluten might have something to do with it now but don't think I ate that much back in the day either... not a pretzel kind of guy.

ever seen "The Hours"? not a type of movie i'd usually recommend, but it's good

Recognize the cover but don't think so! Thanks for the tip.

yall come back now, you here?

I'm here. :) For a couple days more at least.

@Kieran he's gone again

Aaand I'm back again!

Can relate!

How was your trip???

Caught a cold, but otherwise not bad! :)

@Quisty @Cyberdevil oh I'm so glad you had fun! I should send you soup

Could definitely use some! :) Had some canned tomato soup yesterday actually but not really the same thing... thanks for the warm thoughts!

@Quisty @Cyberdevil Aww no problem. I make a good veggie soup, which has a bit of a tomato base. You'd like this?

That'd be perfect. :) Sounds like it's packed with nutrients too. Mom sometimes makes one with mostly leek and potatoes, a little carrot, cream; vegetable broth, which is fantastic. Love vegetables. I have nothing against plain tomato either btw, just hard to find anything in a can with great taste. Or quality. Doesn't really feel the same.

Do you follow recipes btw? Custom-made mixtures?

You need a status announcing that you're back!!

But I'm not REALLY back yet. XD Final stretch in about a week...

@Quisty @Cyberdevil lol ok ok, just make sure you announce it ;)

Will do. :)

@Quisty @Cyberdevil Custom-made for me. I love making things and new things. I love spices and flavoring. I am told I am a great cook :)

Seems those who don't always follow recipes more often are. :) I like experimenting too, and soup in particular is pretty appreciative IMO! Easy to try a little bit of everything and it usually tastes pretty good, and if not then broth usually fills in the missing flavor. XD If I'm ever anywhere near Canada though maybe there'd be a taste-testing opportunity there...?

@Quisty @Cyberdevil If you're in Canada I will gladly make you some soup, just you need to share with my husband ;)

I can live with that. XD As long as there's enough soup! ;) Been wanting to visit Canada for other reasons too, but it is kinda far away. Some day though.

@Quisty @Cyberdevil Yes, just let me know when! I've been told I'd be visited before, but they never showed up, so don't say you'll visit and not show ;)

Alright, won't ponder further publicly until it's official then. :) But it is a plan a brewing!
