Hmm users that used to exist but no longer? Guess that applies to all numbers too...

I have a massive craving for arugula right now and I feel compelled to tell you...i share a lot of my boring minutia with you huh...

Wish you were you North some time. :) We got that good stuff in surplus this year. Brought back a batch as big as my backpack could carry (plus a bag) too.

@S3C he should be back by now

Just one day early. :)

@Kieran quite right! although typically he goes on mini post-vacations and takes a couple minutes too settle...before officially being back around September...

Though actually now I'll be gone most of September, and I'm back a while now instead. Work messing up that traditional summer schedule!

@ads
@uploads

Were there ever users with those names though? Interesting finds.

i have a feeling s3c is cyberdevil but i cant put my finger on it

XD Don't go making any wild accusations now!

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil Hmm you leaving Newgrounds or something? Lol

Actually in a while, yeah. ;) I'll be back!

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil @Cyberdevil Good good. I'd hate to see you quit Newgrounds. Hmm... do you still work at that 7/11 store?

Did I ever work at a 7/11 store? Thinking of someone else maybe? I've been working as webshop admin at a car parts company for a few years now, before that part-time personal assistant, before that mostly just freelance stuff/small jobs. As for NG: don't think I'll ever leave this place. :) Just gotta take a break sometimes.

RE: rats for the dinners

I wasn't congratulating P-bot, but rather sending congrats to the winner through him, using your channel while you were away

RE: self-censoring our digital footsteps

I agree, nothing good comes out of being able to delete our comments...though, it would be nice to have a 30-minute window to delete or edit, in case of error

RE: crybabies on NewGrounds

unbeknownst to most NewGrounders, SuperPCGamer was dicing onions amidst your voyage, hence the tears

RE: special userpages

I don't know if those were ever users- just unregistered names that you bring you to a different 404 page that you would get for an invalid username

RE: send me a rocket with the leafy rocket

damn!! lucky!! nice and peppery too? is there any other green leafy vegetable this good?

RE: imposters from the other side of the globe

@Kieran LOL I am not Cyberdevil but rather @CyberdeviI

RE: rats for the dinners

Is that ^ a saying of some sort? Nevermind. XD Regarding P-Bot Congrats forwarding: smart move.

RE: self-censoring our digital footsteps

Yeah, that'd be useful! Good compromise. Just like the BBS.

RE: crybabies on NewGrounds

Ah! I shan't shed tears over his tears then, unless perhaps mayhaps whilst dicing similarly tear-inducing edibles. Onions are good.

RE: special userpages

Good to know. I assume they must have removed some over time though, as they can't have accounted for all of these words from the start. API, ads, uploads... can't have been as structured or foreseeing when they first started out. Not even those ten or so years ago they started with user subdomains. Either way gonna keep these in a list somewhere, good reference...

RE: send me a rocket with the leafy rocket

A little peppery yeah, mostly so just really tasty. :) Suppose there are pepperier types. Hmmm not really no, arugula's something else, it livens up any mix, though I love the texture of any kind of crisp loose-leaf salad. The ones you grow taste a lot more than the ones you buy - usually just farmed in vats of water with a select few nutrients for growth. Oh, spinach is pretty nice right? Just discovered this old weed's edible too (and very common here): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chenopodium_album ...and was actually the forefather to the aforementioned one (spinach was easier to industrialize, and plant/harvest by machine, though they say the original has even better taste - I think they're about the same).

RE: imposters from the other side of the globe

Haha. I gotta be @S3C more. Been a while.

@S3C YO charmbomb. Pick me up and we can have a picnic together.

Arugula picnic fo rizzle!

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil @Cyberdevil Yeah staying healthy is probably the smartest choice. That 7/11 thing... well coulda been aliens or something. Who knows. I'm getting an internship soon so hopefully that will lead me to a job. Have money but it's just pouring out, need a source of income or else I'll be in trouble because of bankruptcy.

Yeah NG is a legend. I'll stay here forever until the day it's taken down. We're the supporters of this place. My job is to cleanse and inform people. Inspire too. Yours is... secret right? ;D

For sure. It all starts with yourself. Hah, yeah, who knows, they might be all over. They live. Internship at a shop? Good luck with the internal shop work if so! Money does have a tendency to get spent fast when you start using it... I used to save more when I had less. Strange how easy habits change without you noticing, and suddenly you're using so much more than you need; not really getting more than you had. Not that I'm a big spender in the bigger picture... saving's in my blood. Archiving. Collecting. Appreciating the little things!

Amen (for lack of better affirmative word) to that! Hehe well my job's... a little bit of everything. :) The people really are the pillars that hold this place up. Strong support.

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil And a HI-FIVE.

Hi-fi five!

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil @Cyberdevil Yeah... especially if you have some major eating habits. I'm not fat or anything but ya. You know about my habits probably, hahahaha. Not the healthiest or anything but I'm fine with it ;) Just wish the shops close by would sell food with more taste to it. As it looks now it's bland. Guess I'll have to resort to cooking my own food in the future. Worth it. Definitely.

Saving is something I'm really really bad at. I'm a bit of a dog so as soon as I have a need, I need to quench it somehow. So you can kinda understand how quickly my money gets spent. Meh. Is it a blessing or a curse? Dunno. We're all different.

I love it here tbh, even if the climate isn't exactly on the tropical side. But it's getting there. We're closing by. Hehe ;)

True true! Seems as soon as I get back I start eating too, it's just something with sitting still, snacking, everything comes together... definitely worth growing your own food too if you can. :) Both taste and nutrients: massive boosts. At least we've got plenty of applies right now (I mean they're everywhere - no need to grow your own). Going to pick a few kgs later today.

Well if only you have enough to live that life you're probably living the life more than I am! Saving comes with consequence too, and not liking to spend = not appreciating everything you spend money on as much as you could either. It always feels like it has to be worth it/have a cause/etc.

Are we talking about NG or Sweden right now? XD It is getting pretty topical this year! Unnatural. Almost too much... though considering how much rain there usually is I shan't complain.

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil @Cyberdevil Ya. Those with spending quirks are natural born consumers. Nice way to see it :) I've always been into luxury as a child so it's kinda obvious it's probably just me.

This summer was spent on this chair, right in front of the PC mostly... and yeah was it wild. Whooo. I dreamed of tigers frequently. Totally worth it though.

Yes the temperature was hot dogs this year, I sweated like F. Indeed unnatural to be in Sweden.

Hm, anyway... maybe a bit early to ask this, but since you live in Sweden if I remember correctly, maybe we could hang out some time? Whatcha say?

Y'all are keeping our economy spinning pretty well too. :) Just you as in: the rest of the family not so? I do like luxurious stuff too but hmm... not enough to outweigh the cost/benefit ratio I guess. :) Dreaming of taking a trip to Dubai and living like a real king for a while though. Maybe soon. Before them flight taxes start rising again (that's that saving part again lmao). Costs are what keep me here, pretty much.

Oh, what kind of chair might that be? Nice dreams. XD

Definitely. We have a lake close by up North so it was alright, but without that... would've been hell. All plants would've died too. Had to stop washing clothes since the well was pretty much drying up (we still had clothes to spare so it was OK).

Yeah it'd be fun to meet at least; see what happens. :) Maybe not right now, but would be cool when summer starts cooling down a bit; I'm not moving around so much. Are you anywhere near Stockholm too?

@AudioMachina22 @Cyberdevil @Cyberdevil Duhhh... head starting to run slow. Tigers as in lots of fear and imminent sense of danger.

Anyway let me PM you when summers starting to cool down, then. I live in Solna so yeah, I live in Stockholm. Where are you situated?

Oh, didn't know that! I don't think I ever have (dreamt of tigers) but certainly plenty of other weirdness. Always difficult to make sense of.

Hey that's pretty close. :) I'm in Bro. Sounds like a plan!

perhaps chat, api, ads, uploads where all subdomains from the start? or before the 2008 redesign when we got our own subdomains. That begs the question, I wonder what if @www wasn't invalidated as a username, and someone went to sign up for it. Would their username be lost in existence? or would the home page of NewGrounds be directed to their userpage lol?

never heard of that old weed, seems to have multiple uses and while I would never turn down a leafy green it doesn't look particularly appetizing. yeah spinach is near the top too, but really- arugula is on a whole nother level. I guess watercress is another leafy vegetable that stands out too. do you prefer your spinach raw, or cooked (popeye style)?

no, there can only be one @S3C. There can only be one @Cyberdevil. However @CyberdeviI is not taken yet

Hmm yeah, that brings up a whole new question: are there subdomains that redirect, but can still be registered? Considering the api did come around in 2008 maybe it's not so far-fetched after all... maybe! I just get the impression that changes here aren't all fully tested before they go through.

Well just wait till you taste it. :) Fried, with a little garlic, preferably. If you like garlic. Ah yes, watercress is nice too! Looks a lot like spinach too. Well my mom (falsely, possibly?) thought for the longest time that spinach wasn't good to eat raw, so we've actually never had raw spinach. Still don't think I've tried it. I need to debunk that myth sometime; see if there really is something in it you need to heat away. Spinach stew's our most common form, though I really like it fried, with butter, olive oil, garlic and spices. Plain but really tasty!

Hmmm that is... somewhat unsettling! Might need to get myself a new ALT...

many vegetables are better when cooked- it can release some nutrients and destroy bacteria. Some unripe or nascent plants release toxins for protection, but I don't know of any ripe, grocery marketed vegetables that do so, or if they even get destroyed when cooked.

I prefer my vegetables raw....the obvious exceptions being asparagus, potatoes, and corn...tho raw corn ain't bad tbh...

raw spinach is common in salads and sandwiches tho. Not sure what you're mom might be cooking away- maybe the oxalic acid? Though heat doesn't really break it down. Ever get that gritty, chalky feeling on your teeth after eating spinach? That's the oxalic acid binding with calcium, forming crystals. When consumed in mass, or if you have weak kidneys, these crystals can build up and be harmful. Oxalic acid might also reduce the absorption of other minerals. But really, this isn't a cause of concern in otherwise healthy individuals if you're not eating pounds of spinach in one sitting.

Mmm, true, and not cooked too long either or a lot of those benefits go away. I really don't know enough about which ones release what. Should read up. Also: steamed. Even better!

Raw potato's pretty good though. :) Nutritious too. Gotta try raw corn some time...

Ah yeah, might be that. Sounds familiar. Probably have had some in some salads then, but not noticed. Hmm don't think I ever had had that sensation! Good to know.

Its two i at the end instead of an i and a L

Yeah but it makes for quite the illusion right. :) Snatched it.

@Kieran @Cyberdevil yea I actually thought that it was the same name

Me too. :) They really chose the right font to cause confusion with this.
