What a random scene. :D Really nice work. but I wonder: is all of this custom? The arrangment, or the actual sprites? Background? Textures? Don't think I've seen any of it before, but it'd be a really elaborate piece if it's all exclusive. :O Nice work either way!

Thank you. This was just a gift for a user from DA with some video game from the good old days here.

What a bright apple! Shiny! Golden! Spectacularly invigorating and radiant! And an array of gradient background rays that fit right in. Nice.

Pretty interesting apple this one. It doesn't directly give me the impression of soda, though I do see the potential bubble link. Feels to me like something on a more cellular level, a molecular apple of sorts (but you already had one of those). Pattern's pretty captivating; form as applish as always. Nice work.

Ahh nice one! It's got an almost neonish glow to it, this chalk. really fresh style compared to the previous, thick and neatly drawn outlines, and an even fill that somehow just makes it all better. Feels natural; artistic all the same, and light upon that wise green background.

A warm and wonderful piece. Nice work!

These are amazing. Hominid looks a bit thinner than his not-real-life counterpart, but that thinned out cranium does add a sense of menace. Both of the others look pretty psychotic; great detail! Nicely done.

what was fun about the project was how i was free to interpret them 3-dimensionally, knowing it would be on a human actor in a body suit, i did take liberties to elongate hominid to match an actor, and it was really fun giving new detail to blockhead. for instance i tried to give him a realistic mouth but as he's drawn with a flat crisp white swoosh for teeth, i made sure the mask had no canine points or any difference with molars etc. actually salad fingers is probably the most literal as i think the jump from animation to actor wasn't as huge for him visually. but lots of fun.

A clear piece this one, bright yet somber colors, his memory floating through time in all stranger form. I'm sure he'd appreciated the comedy! Whatever appled to you, Robbie! RIP.

He's like a new man, this apple! Grand green color too; flawless face, no residual borders at all. Nice apple again!

A familiar face on this one. :) Looks menaciningly fiery; saturated to the point of perfect submersion in the surface of this apple. With the lack of edges on the lower jaw it gets an interesting dimensional effect too, a form rather than just a frame - a picture, a living piece of demonish which craft? Thanks for this one!

Christopher responds:

Surprised you noticed the removal of jawline pixels, it was to blend it in better with the apple.

Interesting effect with the rectangular windows on the angled wall. It's almost like they're standing out from the wall, like signs, like an optical applusion. Nice apple!

I guess laziness and lack of effort pays off once in a while.
