I like this one too! Great mesh of color, and especially in the lips, and under the eyes, it has a sort of tribal vibe to it, and all fits very well around the dark face and background. Colorful, but not too sharp, pleasantly abstract, and with a pretty symbolic contrast between the water and fire too. Nice work!

Those eyes! XD Crazily expressive but likable portrait, this one, though bit weird how the ears seem to be missing entirely. Nice work otherwise!

Thank you. I quite like this piece too! As for no ears, I'm afraid he's not a fan of them so keeps them tucked in his hat and under his hair! Maybe it's something to consider adding in under "artistic license" you think if its too weird?

They really do look like buddies in this one! :) Such a cute and carefuly shaded Pokemon piece. Looks great!

[Nugget Point]

A beautiful setting, natural and serene. I like how it all floats out into the canvas too. At a close-up, lines seem sketchy and rushed, but in smaller resolution all of that looks like part of the style, like a part of what makes it look so natural. Nice work.

Thanks very much! I did try to be a bit more fluid with my pen movements on this as I'm used to trying to be too perfect. But I totally get what you mean, I need to find a good balance between the two approaches really.

The pages will start getting creative soon. The last couple of pages that I've posted are the pretext of the book. I have a couple of more pretext pages to post and after that, you'll start to see the story.

What a crazily apocalyptic Pokemon combo! :D Love the style, the flashy background, and most of all: that expression! if he were real, he'd surely make a real splash.
