Have fond memories of this game too but I remember it was a bit too difficult for me. I played the NG version plenty of times, over and over, start to finish, but I'm not sure I actually completed the GC one all the way... it was a wonderful work of art though!

Wonder it might've somewhat started the Indie platformer wave it seems we've been having the last couple decades or so now.

Tank + tan + kitty hmm hmm, good wording. Would've made the cat correlation more to someone like Felix the Cat than Hello Kitty though, seems like a common color, and somehow a style akin to old black and white cartoons too...
