Hard Light instead of Multiply, optimized and custom brush blur, slight glow, stuff like that
Ah calling in sick... read the picture more as: reading up on how to be happy, and calling happiness helpline for further advice, all the while hunkered down and trying to attain further happiness from TV. :) Seemed somewhat comical, darkness with a sparkle...
I like the detail. Also if realism: get better!

Really cool... though the transformation part of it happens so fast you barely have time to catch the movement of the lines at all.... but of course, looks all the more seamless that way!
