Oldies Ressurection 2013 is here! Check it out if you haven't (or just click the image above, these new RTE features are awesome). :)
The idea with this collab was to bring together unfinished bits and pieces of animation (that won't ever be finished), and make something watchable out of them, nine artists gathered together, Oh-Sama! in the lead, larrynachos for credits, me and I for some other stuff and an animated part consisting of ten short FBF projects started throughout the years that were never finished. They're all puzzled together in what should seem like a logical order, though there is no logic and order since they're all different pieces. I removed plenty of not very noteworthy preloaders and menus until but this one splash image remained (below)... an intro for what was supposed to become a collection of old unfinished FBF animations (deja vu :P).
The oldest piece is probably from 2004 (I mean, I know one is from 2004 - the one with the zombie stuck in a grave was supposed to be one of many short sketches in a 'Halloween 2004' submission - but some might be older than that), the newest was from this year. Aaaanyway, just go watch the submission! It's been fun working on. and it feels great getting some of these unfinished projects outta the way at the same time. Christmas Collab up next...
Doomroar
They were all great, even the obnoxious anime loops XD, and Oh-Sama making all those references so good.
So your real name is Cyber D. Evil, well Mr D. Evil, i really didn't got yours at all XD, it was cool sure, but what was it all about? especially the second last half, which is mostly arrows and lines... i mean sure is vector art but hahaha, that is a little bit too literal XD.
I get that some one got stuck in a grave, and there are explosions but...
Cyberdevil
Did you get the D reference? :P I didn't get it either but hmm, my name is usually in One Piece so I guess I wasn't thinking right! *hint hint*
Well it's ten separate unfinished projects put together, so there's not much meaning. The first parts are just random FBF animation, combined with a couple of brief introductions (A Small Village and The Curtains Opening), then there's the start of one Halloween animation where Frankenstein was supposed to eat that other guys head, and one more Halloween animation that actually makes sense (it's just that quick joke), and then... some more FBF! :D
It's not vector art at all btw, it's all drawn in Flash, Most of it is FBF (means Frame by Frame), which in difference from most normal animation that uses tweens to move different objects around the canvas, has a new drawing for each frame. The exceptions are easy to spot, like the curtain opening, the intro moving upwards, etc.
So yeah, old unfinished projects bundled in one piece, too short to make sense but hopefully still entertaining in some way! Or maybe I should've just said: deep symbolism and art transcends all comprehension. :)
