Rabbits can be quite destructive to gardens, but groundhogs are worse, and the deer even worse yet. Deer will take a bite off the top of everything... just meander down the rows, like a salad bar :|
And humans are even worse, they eat everything! :D These are hares though, the one in the picture still has the white winter coat on. They managed to eat maybe half of our sugar snaps last year... then we put up a fence of defense.

Too bad it isn't a Playboy bunny... looks almost big enough to eat. Do the foxes often get them, or hawks? For 3 years, a bunny at the farm, with a clipped ear, would show up to eat stuff my Pop left for it.

That would've been nice. :) We had three tame hares last summer. A fox took one, a stray dog took another and the third died of rabbit fever... no hawks. At my grandmas place they occasionally fall in through cellar windows.
