Well RIP in pepperonis m8.

He is the father of modern horror, so is your lost if you want to ignore him, his characters are beings that transcendent human acknowledgement, meaning they can't be described, so by principle any attempt is doomed to end in failure, his genius is to create what is to become Lovecraftian storytelling, in which humanity is portrayed as helpless upon the greatness of the universe and its other inhabitants, with the most notorious being lord Cthulhu, a being so unbelievable, that for the brief moment his avatar was awake on the surface of the sea, the world at large went mad, that's cool as fuck!

A piece of pizza. All metaphorical I hope!

Looks like the fans are trying though, he kinda looks like.... Davy Jones from POTC. Though a little bigger. Does sound pretty awesome!

What so you are not going to volunteer yourself to be measured as you die victim of a free-fall?

I said unbelievable, not indescribable, he does and subsequent authors try to describe lord Cthulhu as a giant with some kind of octopus for head, but his presence in the world induces madness on people all around the globe, that means his sole presence, you don't have to see him, he just has to interact with the world, that happened after he awakened for a brief time, and is that short event which settles the ground for a bunch of other future bizarre occurrences in the lovecraftian universe.

I'd rather free-fall without dying, in the vastness of space maybe, in a plane that simulates the vastness of space maybe, at a theme park maybe. ;) If I live past a hundred maybe I'd re-consider...

Ah, my bad, was probably thinking of your "he tries to illustrate things that are impossible to illustrate, so he just says that what his characters are seeing is impossible to describe" in the previous comment... hmm, are all of Lovecraft's works somehow tied together? All take place in the same universe?

I see so you will become an astronaut, well there's no weight to be measured anyways if you are free falling.

Oh that does happens a lot, but not with lord Cthulhu, Lord Cthulhu is an example of "humanity is portrayed as helpless upon the greatness of the universe and its other inhabitants", to the point that they fall into madness the moment Lord Cthulhu momentarily interacts with the world.

Most if not all do take place int the same universe yes, that's why we can talk about a lovecraftian universe, which doesn't ends and is limited to what Lovecraft wrote, but was also expanded by other authors, of course one has to ask first if the works by authors other by Lovecraft, even if they are his "disciples" count as canonical works.
But yeah Father Dagon, Mother Hydra, Lord Cthulhu, Innsmouth, the prestigious and mysterious Miskatonic University, and the infamous Necronomicon, are all part of the same rich universe.

Mmm, I do tend to space out...

Aha.

A wide wide world to immerse yourself in! Have you read all those?

The puns.

Some, but what i listed were names of characters, locations and i guess the Necronomicon is indeed the name of a book, but you never get to actually read the Necronomicon, you read about people who find it, search for it, or the Mad Arab who wrote the thing.

Big Puns. :P

Ah, alright. The Necronomicon rings a bell hmm, wonder where I've heard about it before...

Those puns are "Still Not a Player".

Everywhere, the necronomicon is part of pop culture by now, but most people don't know that it is part of the lovecraftian universe, and that the book is entirely fictional, even one of the level icons here is a necronomicon if i remember well.

Well you know "I'm Not a Player". :P

Ahh yeah, that level! It all comes back to me now! Know I've seen at least one Flash which paid tribute to this mysterious item too. Confused it with that Box in Hellraiser.

Well that's about all the songs i can think of him that i have listened to, a short lived reference, this "It's So Hard".

Well it may not appear in Hellraiser, but it appears in Evil Dead.

"My Turn" ;)

Ahh so I've seen it there too! Revelations... have you seen the new version btw? The whole Hellraiser series? Do you watch a lot of movies? Don't think that's a topic we've taken up earlier..

Yeah i got nothing, not really an artist that i am familiar with.

Nope.
Neither i plan finishing them one day.
Not really, i don't have all that many movies on my to watch list, they are like 30 really obscure films, most of them are quite controversial like Delicatessen or Naked Lunch (which seem to be based in a book, but i am not gonna lie i am genuinely interested only in the bizarreness of it), and then there's a list of Godzilla Movies by Toho that i have to start watching some day, since i like giant monsters and all that, but i for me that one is more of a series rather than movies.

How about the Big Pun son Chris Rivers? ;) Definitely someone to get familiar with! https://youtu.be/j5lWo0DOaE0

He did a similar thing on Sway, pretty cray, rapping up up and away, never still, never staying still, killing lyricists like everyday's a thrill, doesn't smoke, doesn't Sway to chase the grill. I do note, this dude should be huge he's truly too dope!

Hmm hadn't heard of either one of those, they sound pretty crazy... last one sounds a bit like They Live (1988)... but on a whole other level of insanity! On my watchlist now. Have you seen the newer Godzilla movies? Oh btw, Tetsuo The Iron Man?

Interesting, he has to work on his breathing tho, i will give him some years, but good to know he is out there.

They Live is also on the list, nope i avoided the newer one because i want to watch the classics first, i saw the first Tetsuo after reading the manga adaptation, it made me miss H.R. Giger a lot.

Mmm and he's got a little lisp, but the more I hear the less I notice. Lyrically he's killing it diligently the realest emcee since Cyber the D mon and Gorrliaz the killaz.

Nice. Ah, I recognize a boatload of his work, but hadn't heard the name before. Good knowing.

Well Feel Good Inc was sang by De La Soul, but to compare Chris Rivers and Cyber D, to the living legends that are De La Soul... bad joke man.

Now u kno.

It's no joke yo, Chris Rivers got dope flows! He'll grow to be a beast to boast I hope! And this Cyber D be living to be a notorious no-touring legend no folks know like the late Lawrence Oates... until they stumble upon, they sleep humble and yawn, it's a long dawn, better wake them up with a strong gong and redeem this demon prose. Like an egg, I only shell yolks, you know: the meanest and most killer bit of the build - no filler. Hidden in deep coats.

Yupp, good knoĆn!

Still a bad joke, tell it when they get near De La Soul not when they are crawling as if they were babies.

De La Soul seem as so they're holy folks like tropes of Popes. :) I checked out their free mixtape, checked out with the free sale, thought I'd have a listen now I'm waiting on that email...

Free sale? i am sure the new album is still underproduction after the kick-starter campaign.

Ah, well, not the official albums, but they have a small selection fo free/pay-what-you-want: http://delasoul.merchdirect.com/categories/digital-download

Oh that, man for a moment i thought i was in the future and didn't even find out.

Haha yeah. I guess you've listened to these already? Pretty cool their doing a Kickstarter btw.

To some, i guess but i am not a fan of early access or kickstarters in general, the only kickstarter i have supported was the one for The Reward, and i kinda wasted my vote on the lizard guys, oh well.

Mmm, long as it's a trustworthy kickstarter it's just like buying the product though, only you get to do so in a way that actually helps bring the product to life in the first place, which in itself feels like a pretty cool perk. I backed the first Reward kickstarter... the original, limited, one-piece masterpiece that was 'The Reward' felt like something special, but now that it's a whole series... IDK, I'm still looking forward to it, but it didn't feel as exciting as the last Would've liked to chip in anyway but I'm saving chips atm, too many awesome kickstarters.

Meh, that feeling of helping a project died with the compendium of 2014 #JustDota2Things

Similarly i neither felt like being a part or helping fund something with this kickstarter, because for one they already accomplished their budget goal by the moment i signed, and secondly it was sequel, the novelty was the ability to vote on which characters would come in the following eps, but well you win some you lose some i guess.

Hmm #JustDota2Things? http://justdota2things.tumblr.com/ ? http://dota2.gamepedia.com/The_International_Compendium_2014 ? Is there a story there?

Yeah, that might be why. It's always much more rewarding when the project barely breaks even, and you know it might not have made it at all if it weren't for you! Not as accomplishing a sensation when it's a more commercial thing either, but something that really has to do with passion, where they really have a vision to make something unusual, or accomplish a dream they've had their whole life etcetc.

A lot of stories, each one way too long for anyone not drunk to bother tell.

Yeah, but even if this was a normal kickstarter the novelty of feeling part of helping in the funding of something died out with last year international.

Mystifying. You don't happen to be drunk on something at the moment? On life maybe?

Last year international?

I am a teetotalitarian, which is fancy speak to say that i don't drink alcohol.

#JustDota2Things

What a tongue twister! :P I assumed as much though, hence the 'something' and 'on life maybe'?

Yeah, Google led me to this baffled state of being.

Too sober on life for me to recall all that.

Well you will have to play the struggle, if not it will be too long and complicated to explain.

Seems I shall remain mystified. #JustDota2Things

Or you can take a swim in the sea that is Dota2, but don't swallow the water, it has too much salt.

Hmm suppose I could, but I salt not!
