Yeah that's the one! it definitively had canals in a city, now i want to know the name of that game.
I also played another one when you ride a futuristic motorcycle, it had a Star Fox like graphics, a lot of big polygons, most of them purple, it was not really a racing game, it was more of a first person plataformer, you "race" toward the end but you are only racing against time.

Yeah it is a lot like NFS Underground, but this one was 1st i think (feeling like a hipster now).

Awesome. Tried some searching right now but I'm not finding anything... I know I have it on a CD though... somewhere... as for that futurustic one, could it be Riptide GP? Huh, platformer... don't think that rings a bell.

Oh you're right, three years earlier! Rockstar are one of my favorite developers too... shame EA popped up and took over.

Damn i really want to remember that game, i get these fussy memories i can't really place about it.
No it is not Riptide GP, the graphics are waaay too advanced, and is not first person. In that game i am telling you, you ride some kind of motorcycle ship inside a cave, purple and red are the most abundant colors, the graphics are Star Fox level not Star Fox 64, somewhere in between those 2, and there are no opponents, the plataformer part comes from you having to time out jumps and change routes.

EA has been fucking over way too much lately, just like Microsoft with that X-bone of theirs.

I remember there were a lot of billboards on the levels, but the text's are lost in the maze of memory... I also remembering thinking at the time I played that for its age it was a surprisingly smooth game; the water looked great. As for that other game, I have no idea then.

Yeah, the large corporations take over; impersonalize. And yet... some of their games are shamefully good. :/

Found it! it was called Jet Moto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Moto here's a vid, it was also for PS1 i didn't know that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMn6HIIT-lE and the commentator is hilarious.
Aaan found it, man i love wikipedia, this is the other one S.T.U.N. Runner, i found various videos on YT, but is not the same is you don't see the chair thingy when you seat to play it, i spend so much time playing that, pizza was just an excuse to visit that arcade.

Titanfall, and... what else? Microsoft is pretty much empty so far.

I stumbled upon that one while looking, wasn't the same one I was thinking of. :/ Looks fun though, all them creative characters too.. only graphics seem a bit outdated. Never heard of S.T.U.N. Runner before, it looks good, though woah what a difference between some of these graphics... which one is the version you remember? Or none of em?

Motocross Madness, Monstertruck Madness, Chess Titans, Minesweeper, hmm... though looks like Microsoft are really just publishers for a most of 'their' games...

Haha yeah Jet Moto is an old game man, i played it when i was really young, i think it was some time after i discovered Prince of Persia, yeah that is a game from the 90's, memories man.
Now i am curious to know which game you are talking about.

This one: http://reverttosaved.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/20090408-stun-runner-1.gif
I played that one in arcades like it was supposed to be XD, ah man my pocket money away on that shit.

You know your company isn't doing so hot when you have to bring Chess Titans and Minesweeper into the table XD.

I remember playing a Prince of Persia demo way back, just jumping around along a boardwalk in the sky... think Jet Moto was around the same time as Moto GP btw, that game's still great... despite outdated graphics.

Ah the better version! Yeah arcades were real cash-thieving contraptions, I wasted a ton on that stuff too, and back then... I don't think I regretted it one bit. :) Wish they'd open up the arcades again, make them cheaper, implement modern games and make it a special experience once more. And it would be pretty cool to play something like Alien Hominid on a real machine. :D

lol, but they're classics! At least Minesweeper, it's been around forever. Though... they probably weren't first with the idea,

You have to see this XD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swAp0MYZBIc

Haha, awesome... wonder if they're actually playing the game or if that's made of sprites hmm... haven't listened to Axis of Awesome's in forever btw, I remember stumbling upon their Birdplane performance a long time ago, gtg see what else they've done since then.

Oh Prince of Persia was so much fun, the guy that mirrors your movements and the incredible obese one were so damn hard to beat!
Man i can't remember Moto GP, i remember one motorcycle game for PS1 but it was not really that good, it had bad controls and you keep getting out of track or crashing into walls, turning was a nightmare.

Arcades could do some really wild and interesting stuff with nowadays technology, but i have become such a lazy bastard i don't see myself actually going XD.

Haha who knows who had the idea first but, the thing with Chess Titans, Minesweeper and solitaire, is that they are already there with Windows you like it or not, so every chump has it, is like hardly even worth mentioning, and since they have been there for a long time, you can't really say that they bring something new to the table, or that they are a selling point or saving point for the company, i don't see anyone buying a PC with Windows 8 or an X-bone just to play chess XD.

Well I just remember that boardwalk in the sky. :P Another classic I need to fully play through some time.

Could it be http://youtu.be/XJ8bcjK7-3c ?

Haha, well if there was one nearby I'd definitely go, the dream would be having my own personal arcade at home though, would be awesome to buy up an old warehouse and make something out of it.

Yeah we take them for granted, but they really are good games! A lot of Windows built-in programs are too, like the new Paint or Wordpad. They're light on resources, easy to use... but of course they're no longer any selling-points for the OS. Maybe in the beginning stuff like that did have an impact on what you went with, but now there are so many alternatives... I wonder what kind of games Apple's new computers come equipped with btw, back in the day they had a pretty awesome selection.

Na is not that one, most of the time you spend it stuck on a wall or crawling to your bike after falling from it.

That would be interesting, but i wonder how much i would be really using, with how much games are advancing nowadays.

Apple's computers? haha yeah sure... may as well go full Linux and learn codding, can't play Dota on a damn Apple computer!

Any of these? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Motorcycle_video_games

Looks like that's far from a complete list though, I remember playing Road Kings for PS2, had a lot of fun with that though the controls took a while to get used to.

I tend to stick with the games I like though. Like Oni, I never tire of it, each new play is like a new adventure; the variations in combat are endless! You could say I'm a pretty hardcore fan once I become a fan of something...

Who wants to play Dota? :P I've played a few Tux games on Linux btw, fun stuff but none of them seemed as polished as the games that come with commercial OS:s. Anyway, OS7 for Mac Performa came with Spectre Supreme, it wasn't their own game but it was an awesome game! Still holds today. And I still haven't beat it actually, I think I never made it past level 70...

That's some list, and now i realize, that what i played was really shitty, so crappy indeed that it is not there XD.
Yeah is not a complete list, but making comparison with what is there, i don't feel like remembering that game haha, i am getting ashamed of having played it lol.

You fanatic!

Well with Valve going to release their own free OS based on Linux, i we can again say that apple is out of the race, and even right now Linux has plenty of games for it mostly indie but what it has is damn good.

lmao, they missed at least a few good games on that list too though. :) So no more searching for an answer?

It's fantastic! :D

Ah yeah, I'm looking forward to those Steam-powered computers! Not that I'll be getting one, but they'll me an interesting addition to the competition; the idea's pretty cool. Do you play a lot of Linux games btw?

The more i remember that game, the more i regret playing it haha.

Ah fantabulous obsession.

Practically the same games, i can play Hawken, Dota2, apparently there is even a version for FTL but i would have to find a way to pass my save, so the answer is, yes and no, yes in the aspect that i can play the same games in both systems, except for Dishonored, and no in the aspect that since i installed them and played them 1st on Windows i would need to pass the save files and that is too much of a hassle, however Hawken and Dota2 are things that have the progress tied to my account, so it doesn't matter where i play them, and those are the only things i am playing now (and Dishonored... one day, one day for sure i will finish the DLC).

lmao, I usually stop playing games I don't like! ;)

Awesome addictions.

Aha. Internet-based games are pretty handy in that aspect, though it can get chaotic when saves start disappearing and you have no control over them; no option to restore. Happened with Kingdom Rush, the only paid (optional, but for some strange reason I fell for the temptation of them upgrades) online game I've tried.

It came with the system along with other 2 games... not much variety.

You junkie!

Well both Dota2 and Hawken are free, you only pay for cosmetics, and oh man those cosmetics at least in Dota are so goddamn awesome! *uhum* and the compendium that is like a in game book to track professional teams, make bets, and create fantasy teams and leagues. I myself haven't spend money on either so i have missed some things, some swell looking things.
As for saves since both are tied to my Steam account and Valve is really serious about this, i havent' encounter any problems, neither heard of any problems, even when servers crash i get to keep the data of my match, they have figured that shit out.

Aha.

lol, better scrap these puns soon, I'm running out of ideas. :P

Ah, so they're potential-to-pay games too. I like games that do this the right way, and add optional upgrades that don't really have an impact on the gameplay itself but are a rewarding way to support the developers if you want to. Kingdom Rush wasn't the best example of that; Angry Birds are horrible with their constant ads for upgrades. But anyway, sounds like Steam knows what they're doing. Do you get an option to save your saves locally as well, just in case? Export account data and stuff like that?

Haha, i was already preparing a come back.

I really don't know, i know that a lot of data is saved locally, but i haven't searched if it can be exported, most of the data you get from Dota is not really that significant, is mostly sadistic:

How many games you have played, win rate, your best heroes, your worst heroes, User lvl (this one allows you to enter higher ranked game modes with better players, so i think it should be hard to access because people will try to mess with it), and that data can be moved around and uploaded to different sites so you can brag, i guess there must be a way to save it locally, no idea if you can modify it, and if you can i guess it has to be checked with the registry on Valve when they have the logs of all the matches, other than that, the game can be perfectly played without the steam servers, of course it wont register your data if you play lan games, so is like the matches didn't happen.

As for Hawken i have no idea at all.

Didn't work on the junki > scraps I guess. :P

lol man, statistics are pretty sadistic... it never ands!

If it can be moved around and uploaded don't you already have the files though? Ah, good knowing.

Wow man so now you are scraping cans to maintain your addiction? XD.

Oh man what a typo that is the Google spell-checker for you haha.

Is mostly 3rd party sites that sync with your Steam Account and get the data, so they don't really go to your PC, but to the server when they search for the data, however i guess just like they can take it and put it on their pages, it must be possible for you to save it on your PC, probably.

Can it. :P

It hoppins!

Aha. Yeah it should be, found some info on that: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=840657

So i can open it for a later time? sure :D

With his ill mind?

Haha neither Dota nor Hawken are listed XD.

I can not think up a response for that! :I

Word.

Aw man! They're not in the generic save locations either? Maybe they have their own servers..

Maybe if you get a can opener you will get some canned responses.

Well it is not secret where all the files of those games are saved, but player specific data, is not really all that important, and chances are that items are shoveled together in the player inventory together with TF2 items and the like.

ICANN do that! It'd open my mind!

Aha.

Then you better use it or keep it in a fresh place away from dust and light!

Krizz Kaliko reference?

Like Bel Air? Definately!

Aha? If it was I totally missed it!

No, no, i am against monarchies, so no principalities here.

Aha!

Yeah I don't like principles either, they have too many principles.

Okay!

Is all about policies.

Yeah.

All these polls I see.

Yeah.

Someone has to fill them.

Uhum.

A whole lotta filler.

Yehepp.

We will never catch up with the main story!

Go cowboy!

Not in one piece.

Rodeo!

Actually we are dangerously close, we better enter some fillers, out of necessity.

I am against animal cruelty, unless we also get some dead humans, in which case it is ok (i need to see a realistic sense of danger).

Aw man, again? Filler potential before the Dress Rosa arc closes? I see that twist with whatever-her-name-was that Sanji met might be going btw, it's almost... too expected to be expected. :/ Though I wasn't expecting it...

Aren't humans animals though? Or you mean it's OK as long as they're dead?!
