Best martial artist of all time!? i doubt it, but i am sure about this, Space Dandy is the best anime of this season that plant episode got me good, that is what a space series should explore, it may not have a linear plot, but it's awesomeness far outshines that issue, and we get to see Mew's home planet next, man that series is just too good, yes i do think it is better than Kill la Kill even after what is happening lately.

That's what they claim, but since he died so early we'll never know for certain! Yeah, that flowery episode was awesome, so much ambiance, just watching the characters drift through different zones to the tones of subtle jazzy hiphop music, and the end... not the end but a new beginning... but it definitely feels more like an end. Btw, I was half-expecting something about Dandylions. :) Not sure if they did include any of those... oh, Mew's home planet, looking forward to that! I think Space Dandy moved up to the third place in my favorites, just below OP and Hunter.

Certainty is a fallacy when we don't even know what is reality!

Indeed that ending, it almost got me again, first Laika then the plant girl, i was already thinking "dammit Dandy are you going to do this to me every week now!?" and then he is assaulted by a coconut XD. Yeah i think they ride on a giant inverted dandylion (clever word play sir!) when they try to change zones for the 1st time? and also there was that scene when all the plants seemed to be having a giant plant orgy XD.

Oh well OP and HxH aren't really from this season but yes i can see Dandy doing that, by the way here is the order of my list of currently watched animes:

Hunter x Hunter
One Piece
KINGDOM s2
Space Dandy
Toriko
Kill la kill
Uchuu Kyodai
Pupipo (i would need quite some time to explain the story behind me watching this)
Samurai Flamenco (finally is ending)

HxH and OP are actually tied in the same place, and Toriko and Kill la Kill keep changing places, Uchuu Kyoday is not that has got worse, is that nothing is happening right now and all the other series are actually going at it with so much action!

lol yeah that coconut, was wondering if that was just coincidence or communication. Ah, so there was a dandelion, nice. Haha orgy, that's one way of looking at it... felt like the animation was so smooth in this episode too, more frame-by-frame than usual, less static backgrounds and more dynamic transformations, was thinking a lot about the technicality of it and how it'd be to make something like it with Flash. Also liked how they removed the dark outlines to make everything brighter this one time.

Well I only watch Kill La Kill and Space Dandy when it comes to newer series. Ah, nice list. Had to look up the two before Samurai Flamenco. It's ending! Woot, maybe time to watch it soon! :D

You know all those flowers, shooting polen like crazy, which then entered into other plants and stuff... dude that was straight out plant porn!! haha, i was like damn, that plant girl has become a plant woman! XD.
Yeah the animation was smooth and the passing just felt right, it definitively was way more light, they used those pastel colors perfectly, i don't know how it would work in flash it has a lot of particles, for example that plant orgy scene, the moment when they get to "Code D", and when they get captured by the authorities, if we play those scenes in the YouTube player, the whole thing would fall apart and will start to pixelate haha.

Uchuu Kyodai (Space brothers)? that one is excellent, is the story of 2 brothers who want to become astronauts and then someday go to mars together, however one of them as horrible luck, and is now working designing cars, then he is fired for fighting his boss, so now as an unemployed he chases after his little brother who not only is already an astronaut, but was recently sent on a mission to the moon! is great man, it feels so real, but is also funny, and it has a surprising lack of nonsense and bullshit.

Pupipo, is a mini series about ghost, that can get really surreal if they stick to the manga for once XD.

Samurai Flamenco is a disappointment, i am glad that is finally ending, i really don't recommend it, if Space brothers has a surprising lack of BS Samurai Flamenco has too much BS, and is sad because the first 5 episodes seemed so promising, but it just goes downhill from then.

lol, I got plants in my room watching this stuff man! Starting to get paranoid here! Lots o particles indeed, but did you notice the layer of particles looped through all the different background transitions in that scene? The particles are basically just lots o dots on a few frames on that, I'm thinking the trails on the flowers when they move would be harder to make so fluent. lol yeah!

Funny without a lack of nonsense and bullshit! Sounds like a refreshingly down-to-Earth series amidst the other current ones.

Ah.

Yeah we spoke about Samurai Flamenco earlier, I still plan on watching it when it airs out though... will hold expectations as low as possible. :) The worst thing is anticipating something that doesn't fulfill that expectation, I'm sure I'll get some entertainment out of it anyway.

Whaaaaa?

Yeaaaah?

... Aaaaaaaaaah!

Wooooooo!

No i did not notice it! i was sure they made individual maps of particles for each scene, for example to follow the spores and pollen as they go from one plant to another.

Yeah, the thing is really reasonable XD.

Yeah i can see that being the problem here, because the first chapters of Samumenco are really promising, like for real "what would be like... if a poor batman, gets a power ranger suit and goes out to fight petty crime?", but they trashed that and made it into just another anime about superheros...

Ah well that wasn't for the entire animation, just for the particular scene where they swapped motives yet kept the pollen as a layer over it through the scene, there was no doubt plenty of work put into the other ones. I'm fascinated with how they use loops to facilitate the process though, almost everything looks (this one episode somewhat of an exception to that rule); if you don't think about it you don't even notice it.

Sounds like Kick-Ass. :P Well I've never seen any superhero anime earlier, that'll be interesting.

Hi.

Hello!

You know that talk about memory we had long ago? well look at this: people who have apparent perfect autobiographical memory, it is called Hyperthymesia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperthymesia and is indeed different from savant syndrome. Although it seems that other than that, these persons have poorer memory for anything else outside their own life events, for example memorizing or using mnemonics to generate objective memory, in this regard they seem to be below the average in therms of memory.

Ah, so that's what it's called. Interesting read! I get lost in memories but... I can't recall what I ate for lunch a few days ago, it's pretty impressive though apparently not without side-effects. I wonder if people with Hyperthymesia can meditate...

Yeah, no, maybe, I don't know.

....whatever. Yeah.

Oh i see i guess if you are not aware of such things you just pass them by, i will be looking for them from now on.
The whole Super Sentai Genre is not really a new thing to the world of anime XD, however is indeed more common as live action. In the beginning is indeed a lot like kick-ass (the first 30 min of the movie), except that the guy is more naive and the city is more peaceful.

It seems that they have no control over the stream of memories, so once a chain of memories starts they can't stop it from running through, which makes concentration a really difficult task, however i don't know if that is the same for all of them, since they only have some 3 "well" studied cases.

Once you know the secrets it's a whole new experience... too much focus on technicality, too little on what's actually going on. :D After I watched Jackie Chan's budget-stunt-tricks documentary I was just trying to see if they were using fake shoes or not.

New to those it's new to. :) Sounds good.

And how long is a stream of memories? If they remember something that happened 30 years ago, is the stream 30 years? What constitutes an individual memory? Interesting stuff.

Haha yeah i sometimes try to see the cables in kung Fu movies XD.

Haha i guess, you should look Kamen Rides Black Better known as Skullman, is a better superhero anime, however is kinda slow and screws at some parts, i blame it all on the director, who knows what he was trying, but i guess the average anime fan would love it.
Ah and lets not forget Cyborg 009.

They start remembering something, and that triggers another memory, and another, and another, and so on, until they get distracted by something else, or they get tired, it probably could go forever if they never get any sleep or distraction and just settle there remembering.

If they remember something that happened 30 years ago, they will remember that exact event, and then that event will make them remember another one, lets say something that happened 15 years ago, it doesn't means they rewind themselves step by step 30 years into the pass, or that now they go on a stream that would last 30 years, the stream is just a sequence of memories that are connected and that come at you with precision but without your control, is like hard core wandering inside your memories which so just happen to be really clear and vivid.

And individual memory, in this case is something that we put limits on to isolate from larger memories, for example just the memory of you having breakfast, without you waking up, showering, and all that was happening around you while you had breakfast, you go and remember: "yeah a sandwich, cereal and orange juice, good", it ends there you don't bring up anything else, however they do remember everything else, before the breakfast, after the breakfast, and during breakfast, things that have nothing to do with breakfast, and yet it appears there, a bunch of useless unrelated info to breakfast, that is indeed actually related to breakfast because there is a temporal connection, it means that it happened so they remember it, and here comes the problem now they will keep remembering, and now what was just the memory of breakfast has become the memory of the whole morning, and then the whole day, and then "hey that reminds me of that other similar day i have", and so and so.

lol, cables too, always keeping an eye out for cable (potential for some cable pun here but I just use computers).

Skullman! That's an NG mascot too, wonder if they're related. I've heard of it, I think. Oh lol, Cyborg 009, did I mention I had two VHS tapes of that one? I haven't actually watched through them though, the dubs seemed... and the quality was... and I was like...

Aha, that sounds messy. They want less clarity; I want more, shame we can't balance it all out! Maybe in a distant future we'll be able to tune things like memory recollection to our own liking, would be useful.

So how are things going?

They're going OK! Yeah.

what is cyberdevil up to

What's up S3C?! Well I should be working on a game but I'm responding to comments and stuff instead. O_o Starting a new job tomorrow too.

details on game????
details on job???

It's a collabo for St. Patricks Day. My part's teh graphics, pixel art, first attempt. Amaranthus wrote the 'script' and another guy's programming. There was a topic in the BBS for it where people could get a spot in the game and get drawn as an enemy but I won't have time to draw up more than a page at most. Gotta getta move on! Time's running out! 7 days!!

I'll be assisting/following a guy with some mysterious muscle disease/aspergers from his home to a university he's attending two or three times a week, taking a cab there and then (probably) lounging around while he's attending class. Should be fun!

You use them... wireless?

Oh is the NG Skullman also a Kamen Raider!? oh man they are everywhere!
Yeah you said you found them, because you have godlike luck.

Well there is one not well studied case who is glad of having that condition.

lmao! So it was possible! :D I'm wired btw.

Eh.. nope. Appears they are unrelated after all. I guess the combination of Skull and Man is somewhat easy to use for all types of purposes. I have godlike luck? Awesome! :D

That's reassuring. Anybody should be able to learn to harness this power if... it's possible and not due to varied degrees of memory control in different individuals.

good job!

For real?

why wouldn't i be lol

Haha well it just sounded potentially ironic somehow! :) It's not bad indeed.

Wired to the matrix? such is life it seems.

Haha yeah Skull wearing men are kinda popular, among fiction.
Awesome indeed!

Well since is not that well studied a case i don't really know how or in what degree his memories may come, but is good to heard of at least one person that doesn't think of it as a curse XD.

I'd rather be wired to the Hendrix.

Hmm, come to think of it: Bleach.

Yupp. :)

You want to connect with Jimi? using Voodoo and stuff (actually had to google it!)

Lol yeah bleach has lots of those.

Hah, Hendrix as in his music. Wired as in... wired!

Wait it has nothing to do with this!? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRx9IKMNafI

Woo, that music! It might have something to do with it now. :P
