Another 10 years i give it... agh i don't want to end like that guy who died without seeing the chapter of Berserk that was released last week, it got to the point of the series advancing one chapter per year... just because Miura has been playing Idolmaster! that bastard lolicon talented piece of... anyway poor guy, not that i knew him, but there was people talking about his bad luck in the Batoto comments.

The problem with these series is, that One Piece got too popular allowing the author to put a lot of stuff, and making the series go way longer than expected, and yet chapter 744 had so much happening at once, that i felt like it should have been done in 2 chapters instead of one, or at least in a 30-40 pg long chapter special... that is both troublesome and contradictory!
Then we have Hunter x and Bersekr who get New chapters every time the planets align or the end times tries to visit the earth...
And finally we have series that just don't have an specified goal and could go forever and ever without ending.

If i have to pick one of those, the last one wouldn't be, the seconds one is unpredictable, and the first one, well Ishinomori creator of 009 died without ever finishing cyborg 009, so yeah it is all bad! also just realized that as things stand in the manga HxH no longer has a a goal, so not only it could go on forever, but the releases will keep going just the same... sure the current arc (manga) has a goal, but beyond that we are pretty much in the same territory of things like Bleach.

A full decade! Well why not, I've been at NG that long and it wasn't so bad, might feel almost line an honor to have followed the series for such a length of time when it airs out.

What happened to the author of Berserk? It's one of the few Mangas I've read, but I don't have the patience to follow it, waiting till it finishes before I pick it up again.

Oh, so Cyborg 009 never finished! Interesting. I do hope One Piece still has a goal, that it's not turning into an eternal quest...

The end better be the most epic thing on history of comics.

Haha... "waiting till it finishes", yeah... sure... (Hahahahaha!!!!) well he got an obsession playing idolmaster and has been neglecting his work, also comes with some health excuse every now and then, but he is just on his 40's! also he recently published Gigantomakhia a short story settled in a desolated apocalyptic earth of the future, that shamelessly uses loli piss as the main energy tool of the main character, give it a read.

Yeah plan has it, that his son is supposed to continue and give an end to the series using the manuscripts of his dad.

One Piece still has a goal is Hunter X Hunter which soon after the next 2 arcs will end in an adventure without goal, i can't tell you more since the spoilers are too big, indeed just me telling you that the spoilers are big, is already a big spoiler, is just that big of a spoiler and that important, that what will happen in the next arc changes the whole story, of course all that has its root on this one with the chimeras-ant arc.

And anime. Most spectacular end in any manga/anime ever! Something that can truly be labeled as epic without people fretting on how overused that word is!

You're saying... it might be a long wait? :P Ah well, maybe in another life. Gigantomakhia sounds... interesting. O_o The 'Set 100 million years in the future, it's about an epic war between the forces led by Zeus and the nether forces led by the giant Alcyoneus.' descriptions sets it in a bit of a different light... might do.

That would be pretty cool! Wonder if it will or has happened to any other series out there, some Franchises have been around for a long time. Like Astro Boy.

Hunter X Hunter is pretty awesome in that aspect of surprise, how really anything can happen, how even good guys die; stuff like that... alright, well as far as anime goes it's the one I'm most glued to at the moment, the battle with the King is surprisingly long considering how fast things were moving before this, with all facets of it explained in real time, just a few minutes of battle spanning a full season... but it is pretty intense.

Well One Piece is an epic styled adventure, so the denotation of epic is fitting XD.

Is good, but really not the best you work of the author, but if it worked for him to get somethings out of his mind then i am glad he made that manga, but for what i saw in the latest Berserk chapter, it seems that Gigantomakhia didn't help at all haha T_T.

009 Re:cyborg came out recently so there is hope, mmmh, but i remember Astroboy ending actually, i am sure there must be other series that have continued after the author dies, but i can't remember any at the moment.

Yes this current arc is awesome, in all that has happened hardly 2 hours have passed, you could say that it is not as fast passed, but in the contrary a lot is happening is just the way in how is being told that changes our time perspective, and i actually like this approach, the battle with the King oh man that is gonna get ugly, and well i hope you have not seen that meme with Gon after he battles Neferpitou, which did you know that Neferpitou is male in the manga? yeah... i actually am glad that they gave him(?)/her boobs in the anime, is less awkward to look at, talking about messing with genders wait until you see the next arc, there is as always some weirdness going on with the Zoldyck family.

It's been an epic epoch. :)

Haw, is the Berserk manga heading in the wrong direction too, apart from just taking so gruelingly long to draw? With the sinister side of that series I'd understand how someone could stall with working on it, but if he worked it right it could be a way to vent too.

Nice. :) They could use it as a selling argument, like with so many other family businesses. Food's not the only heritage! Though I guess it's been around longer...

Oh, I did not know Neferpitou was male! I think I prefer this anime counterpart...her compassion seems feminine too so yeah, works well. And no, haven't seen the meme. Was kinda hoping there'd be no battle between them btw but I guess that a self-induced hope of an illusion! Huh, should be interesting!

It has been such a good story!

Well we are on the fantasy arc... yes i know that berserk is dark fantasy, but everything is so moe and fairy tail dream like lately, that i just don't know if i am reading the same manga, plus Guts is now practically a professional babysitter, almost borderline househusband-sailor, and Falconia (Griffith's kingdom capital) is a beautiful trap, really things are too nice and peaceful lately, shit better start raining soon, this calmness has been going on for too long, and we have yet to see the capital of the Elves!.

I don't know people would get doubtful if you advertise that the author for whatever reason died of old age without finishing his work, and now his son has to continue XD.

Nah Gon hates Neferpitou, i do hope they get that battle right, because is something else really, they better get that part right, especially because that battle opens a central part of the immediate arc, we need that and the entire Netero VS Meruem battle done with the best of details because they are one of the most important events in this whole arc, that and Welfin search for Gyro, actually Gyro is a promising element of the series i wonder what he may do, he is our current mistery character, along a certain someone that will appear waaaaay after all this is over.

Good thing is that apparently the author doesn't wants the anime to catch up with the series so we may get the manga to re-enter serialization, to tell you the truth the quality of the drawings was quite poor, and apparently Togashi wanted to have time to fix that at least for the tankobon version, however the story is still just as good, so i am sure it will do well even if we only get sketches.

What else, ah yeah, it is still a pity that the anime has censorship T_T.

Word.

The capital of the Elves sounds like it would be a pretty calm place! The scenario you're painting up actually sounds like how I'd hoped the series would go towards the end: to a brighter realm, happy ending style conclusions, just one big final massacre and then it's all groovy. Maybe the end is nearing? Or maybe, this is just the long calm before a truly infernal storm...

I think I'd be intrigued, I'd start looking for differences in the art style; how the plot's depicted, but if whomever is taking over has been involved for a while prior to the death the transition may not even be noticeable. I know a couple of Swedish comics that have been taken over by the eldest sons in the family, that was just fascinating to know. The comics are still great. And the fact that they've been around so long and have such a history makes them all the better in my eyes!

Well yeah, he does hate her, but he's a honest kind of person you know. If Neferpitou would've done like she said she would, and Kite was restored too good health.. it could've all been okidoki. I thought the King was Gyro! These are interesting times indeed.

Aha, sounds promising.

As for censorship... I guess so! As a viewer of anime only it's been pure awesomeness though.

Yeah this is definitively the long calm (really long calm) before the storm, i am pretty sure that Falconia is just one hell of a trap, but if the series is near its end, that could only mean that Guts will just stay in the Elf capital and forget about Griffith, become a family man as the father figure of all those kids, live in a fairy tale land surrounded by elves and fairies... taking care of Casca and stuff... yeah that would suck actually XD, it can't happen! we are quite far away from the end, we need Falconia to show its true colors, and then put Guts back on his revenge path (and he is still distancing himself from that path).

Yeah but at least with the case of Ishinomori his son was not involved until he kicked the bucket XD, so is more of lets hope he doesn't mess up his dad work, type scenario.

"If Neferpitou would've done like she said she would, and Kite was restored too good health" what i am about to say is no spoiler, because by now we all know this, Gon is delusional, and Kite is effectively dead, Neferpitou is strong but she is not a god, so you can imagine what will happen, Gon is not going to take this reality in the best of ways, he is hell bent into getting Kite back, but yeah Kite the puppet is just that a hollow puppet.

Yeah you don't really notice in the anime that they are omitting "little" gory things, however those things are within a context, and to remove them takes away from the critic that the author is making, for example Welfin and Gyro's life was way worse than what is shown in the anime.

Yeah that wouldn't be how we'd want it to go, but when has the plot of Berserk ever gone the way people wanted? Wouldn't this be the ultimate twist? :P I'd forgotten all about his eternal nemesis though... hmm, well whatever happens I hope it doesn't take too long before it happens...

lol, a different type of scenario.

Oh man, typo on the too! :C Kite's dead!! That is a bit of a spoiler man! I sincerely believed it was more of a mind-control kind of thing... if that's the way it is things'll have to turn out a bit differently indeed.

Ah.
