Nah, I don't use the computer in the background.. but soon though. The foil is aimed at a window. At that distance, it needs to line of sight, and the wifi cards settings are good enough to tune it for long distances. The radio signal hits the front of the foil and down to the laptop (rather goddamn precisely I might add)... I sit above the signal, which makes easier to get, despite the obstructions. Radio waves move out and away from its source. Oh, the round black one is a clock, the square one is a coil thermometer and hydrometer, much better than digital.
Yea, know what you mean about burned discs losing their pigmentation and going bad :\ But for movies, I'll take a chance.
Good knowing. Definitely; the great thing with analog is that it usually doesn't require any energy source. Less battery consumption; better control. Speaking of which, I'd like to see a computer frame with a built-in thermometer sometime.
