No personal association to any malicious submissions here, I just unfortunately opened them before they get deleted, as the overly active user I was at the time, aaaant account gone. :/ Don't remember exactly what happened/how that went down though. If they affected the site in a way that Tom had to move back to an older backup of the site, or they injected something into the database or what it was....

I wonder if I actually created that one first... well yes and no, currently no, long story long I just tried logging in a few times with passwords that didn't work, and the account is now locked. I then however managed to re-create the email I used to sign up with the account back in the day, which had since been deleted, but the e-mail on how to unlock my account was probably sent to that e-mail before it was recreated, and subsequent attempts to just reset my password and login that way won't let me bypass that lock now So I suppose I'll give it a while and try again, or send in a support email if access doesn't reset automatically/they send out some unlock reminder...
But after that I do have access again now. Made some half-assed attempts at getting back in earlier but I think the email account still existed, and I didn't remember the password to that either then. Good thing it wasn't one of those eternal Gmail accounts, hoping in time maybe they purge some of my old-unused-and-forgot-the-login ones there...

Hey, just so you know, i can't respond to your PM because my sent box is full and it's not really working even if i did delete some messages.
Man I just ran into the same issue. 25MB over the limit. :/ Such a shame. Pondering if I should actually download a copy of all those messages or just leave it like this... won't ever be able to get over that limit again if I clear 'em out. :P What happens when you try to delete some though? Is the error message still there? 'Send' button just doesn't work?
Everything stays the same and i get the same "time to delete some messages!" thing.
It's a real shame to have to delete my messages though, especially since i go back to some of them for reference on certain things.

Yeah same here. I was hoping/starting to think the Sentbox really would be unlimited forever, have been making sure to quote everything I respond to so even if I delete the messages int he Inbox they're at least archived there.
I guess when they started allowing images the space use might've skyrocketed though. People could be using the sentbox a bit like I used to use my email, as basically a photo dump, just sending files to myself to back them up.
@MoeAnguish Btw did you follow the account backup suggestion? Still waiting on a PM that my files are ready but if that works (if the archive actually contains everything/is at least as easy to browse) I suppose I will be clearing out 'em messages after all.

Been wondering if they deal with this stuff retrospectively these days. Seems like for more well-known names such loops may stay, but for the unknowns... hope there's not a lot of such work getting purged out there now. Still a piece of history. Still abided by the rules of that time. Still, for the most part, usually legal. Depending on program used.
