So random. XD I like the mood, the ambience, the voices, the steamy intro... in the end I have no idea what this was really about though! Guess that creepypasta might shed some light on it...

MidnightMarinara responds:

Such is the nature of the Trollpasta. When we started the show we thought we'd do the pilot as a very short, very goofy piece to give a sense that both horror and humor are covered.

Lo-fi, polished and funky! Really smooth work.

DreamEater responds:

Dangg you reviewed the track and the visual??

I greatly appreciate the support my friend.

For some reason I didn't realize you were doing music too! Must've just glanced past that part of the profile to the awesome artistry all the time... but this is pretty banging too. I like the vibe. I like the break and build-up, and though it's a typical structure it all flows well. Wondering about the loudness though, when you see how even the edges are... seems some frequencies might be more limited than they need to be? Why cut the peaks below the actual clipping threshold? Maybe mastering's one thing possible to improve here. Overall though: nice work.

MLeth responds:

Ah thank you!
Yeah no I have no actual experience with mixing/mastering other than what I'd learned by just doing music. There are a ton of issues in all my songs! I've never had any patience in just sitting down and reading about how to do things rather than actually doing them so that's why things never really turn out as good as they can be, hoho. Same goes for my art!

Once the beat jumps in: it really gets jumping! Pretty crazy trip when you start moving past the initial ambience of it all... it starts out with an almost Ridge Racer-like vibe, but soon moves on to new styles entirely. Entertaining mesh. Love me some DnB too. Feel like the tone of the audio could be better (mastering things?), but everything else is great.

Thanks for the thorough review :)

Hmm so not a beat for anyone to rap over here? Sounds good though. Subtle, mysterious, has a somewhat unorthodox pace to it... and a bit high on the loudness even without any particularly loud sounds, but overall: not bad!

darthmaul298 responds:

Thank you I appreciate it, and I probably should allow people to rap over my music in the future it'll open up many opportunities for people.

A slow-paced but suitably atmospheric piece, classy, creepy, like a little Madness (the band) mixed with some kind of spooky house theme... nice tone to the keys too. Smooth work.

Thank you!

You really work with all types of artistry! :) Enjoying this music too, though the transitions seemed a bit strange; sudden, like merging together two separate songs... not a bad mood overall though. Nice work.

Skashi95 responds:

That's the problem with most of my songs. Most of them weren't made for showcase. I made multiple chunks in the same style so I can paste it better over my animations.

So one song just split in two with another one inside it...? Or more like three songs? Really like the first two bits. Not so sure about the third, feels like maybe the beats aren't annunciated enough, it's all faded and hard to follow. Psychedelic and trippy first two though: awesome work.

Father-of-Death responds:

i got bored of making the first beat, made the 2nd beat and then didnt know what to do so i smooshed both together, yes the ending is the beggining its made even more boring the 2nd time through to portray that i have no idea what i am doing lol

A pretty creatively mashed-up melody here! Bits of spookiness seem to float together with all kinds of other genres, like a little... samba? Salsa? Eighties Asian romance/action movie music? I have no idea what genres or references I'm hearing here are called, but it's a refreshingly different hybrid. Great quality, great pace; plenty of atmosphere. Awesome work.

endKmusic responds:

Hey CD!
Not really sure about those references but nevertheless, I'm glad you named them! :D
It's always fun and interesting to hear detailed first impressions.
Guess it's just my take on this piece. :)
Thanks for the review!

Your standard crap is pretty quality crap man! Grimy but great to listen too. Not too loud either. Not too long. A quick burst of refreshing ferocity! Good stuff.

GoreBastard responds:

Thanks man!

I realised I hadn't uploaded anything in 2018 so I figured I'd do something really quick just to show people I'm still alive!

Cheers!
