I'll tell the story of my username:
I was playing this flash game called "Rebuild" and then one of the NPC'S was called "ChaingunGreen"
I was playing it here on NG and already had an account..I instantly liked that username and created a new account but of course I didn't like the "Green" part so I went Snake as a reference to MGS....Snake? Snake? SNAAAAKE!
Chaingun is a pretty catchy verbal component! Cool story. Which of course leads to follow-up question(s) such as: what account did you have before this? Is it still there? How long have you roamed these grounds before you were reborn in as this sentry-based reptile form?

I roamed these grounds a very long time ago but I was only there to play games and watch movies.
Didn't know NG had a voting system,BBS,art portal,stats and all of that stuff.
Re-discovered the site in 2015 and figured out about all of that stuff. As for my old account...to be honest I don't even remember.

maybe something like Lunatic Liquidator or DarkAdept.
Most of the new users just sign up and do nothing....no depositing or anything else which is kind of lame.
All of those sound pretty cool! All taken too, but as the new users you mention their accounts haven't been active in ages... chances are you could have one overtaken if they've never even logged in. :)
Yeah, real shame, though I've signed up to tons of communities too that I never did more with. Just to get an account. Because? Well, I don't know... you never know. Some I planned to use but just didn't get around to, or realized they weren't that important, or life got in the way. I can relate.
Btw, as for the choosing a username thing, how about going with one that reflects a part of your personality, or interest? I feel like names with personal ties stick easier. Or, they become personal if you keep using them... ChaingunSnake is pretty memorable though. Easy to remember.
I've seen tons of accounts that signed up back in 1999/2000 and there is almost no activity on their profile..just empty..it's like they registered then got hit in the back of the head.
I guess so but I guess I'll just stick with my current username.
