Aaand I just reached level 51! Woot!
5000 medals! 100k medal points! Top gainer! Top topper! #2 reviewer! First Daily #3! ___!

Feel free to check out that recent short for New Year, or the new NG Levels gadget, or all that old art I've been uploading lately, or the music (was planning to submit a New Year acapella... maybe soon).

Last year ended nicely, so here's hoping this one will start just as well, as swell, a well of unrestricted internal inspiration and aspiring artistries that hearts can reach! And sun shine that sizzles! And if it rains, let it be just a dust of misty drizzle. Fo rizzle. For now, this is all.

That's so cool, nice work. I dread to think what level I could be at if I deposited daily since my sign up in 03.

Hey thanks! You'd be top level by now. ;) The formula: 10 EXP x 3650 = LV60!

Now you are big shot.

Time to change name from Bob to Boss.

I don't really deposit any more. The portal is far too lighthearted sometimes, it is rather annoying that crap still manages to get through. Yeah, crap would get through back around 2005 but never as easily.

Not even for those daily deposits? A lot of shit does get through *cough* speedpaints *cough* but on the other hand there's so much quality content now compared to old! There used to be greatness every once in a while back then, and so many ideas, but now the greatness is constant. Just the ideas that aren't so varied. Mmm, crew does have always gotten through too...

Talking about gravity, this repeat just came today.

That's eh... that's interesting.. :/

It would have save me a lot of time to just post that link instead of making that other comment XD.
I heard that gaining blam points is almost impossible nowadays.

If only a simple sound could convey the profound amount of boundless logic your other post contains. :P
Well you can easily get at least 1-2 blam points each day, but just 1-2 blam points per day... iit's definitely not like how it used to be! The portal shows how many submissions are blammed btw, if you haven't seen that box, good place to see how things are changing. Yesterday was 6.

New gold diamond studded scepter looks pretty cool, hope you bash in many a skulls with your new weapon.

I'd rather do some cleaving with the old icon's shiny new scabbard and blank blade attached, radiant green grays an empowering background behind this lethal upgrade. ;) Thanks man!

Oh pls Dr Tyson does way better than i can.
Man only 1-2 blams per day? you call that easily? XD, i call that "if you get lucky" you can get 1-2 blams per day.

Ooh, he's a Doctor? Doctor Who? :O
lol, it's easy to GET blams, hard to get a lot of them! If you keep on eye on the portal you should spot at least one or two submissions each day that just can't possible ever pass judgment, usually ones with 'test' in the title, and (if you watch the content) some incredibly crappy animated stick figure movement on loop. Some days you're lucky enough to get a few of these! Though of course not all bad submission's so obvious.

He has a doctorate in astrophysics, plus various master degrees etc. effectively making him a doctor.

... i will never stop being a police captain at a rate of 1 to 2 blams per day.

Professional man!
Mmm, and the saves help out a bit to boost. :P

Woot! Keep on kicking ass, bro!

Heeey Dev, long time no see! Will do man. :)

Despite all the e-crap going on, I bought Doom 3 BFG edition (I owned 1 and 3, and only a demo of 2) which has 1, 2 and 3 including the Lost Mission... pity it also has Steam, but these aren't times to be choosy I guess :/

Oooh, can you play it? I bought the BFG edition too, but it won't work on either one of my computers. Looked up the issue online, and it turns out it's not very supportive of a bunch of GPUs, particularly AMD (which I do use). I could play the first two games, which did have an extra episode or two I didn't know about, but not the main game... disappointed in iD on this one! Was really looking forward to replaying Doom 3 in all it's graphical glory with removed flashlight toggling, but alas, not yet. Maybe one day I'll get a PC that it does work on.

Yeah, so far so good! But like my old rig I chose an AMD CPU and Intel vid card, just to keep things lively. New drivers didn't help your card?

BTW, can you get over-air TV? I bought an 'old' LCD TV that decodes our new digital TV signal.. not bad, but it's very weak - can only get a very few stations with 'rabbit ears'

Hmm, guess I could give it another try, something might've changed since I last tried it. But at the time: no, patches, drivers, etc didn't do any difference.

Not sure what OTA TV is? Via satellite? Regular wireless? Since they made the transition from analog to digital TV here in Sweden we're all required to buy one decoder for each machine, no idea if there are other ways.

Shit I was just at the game's website, should've looked for a workaround for you :( Big snow's coming, so, gotta get things ready...

Well, radio waves, like from a TV's station's antenna; we were analog up until 7 years ago, then they all went digital, which has a crappier range, because of a tighter bandwidth and lower output wattage :p It's pretty stupid, isn't it? They've been talking about switching since 2000, and they never made the TV people add digital tuners :|

Well if there is a way to get it working I'll find it sooner or later, no worries! Preparing for potential downtime huh? Preparing for doom. O_O

Ahh the traditional way. Indeed, doesn't seem like the digital way was much of an improvement, if anything it's not as reliable as it used to be; not as fast. Guess a bigger screen may be required to notice a difference. And they're working on switching out regular radio to DAB by 2020, we'll have to swap out all our old radios, all car owners'll have to pay extra to get DAB installed.... even though the regular frequencies work fine. The biggest argument for DAB is it'll allow for more broadcasts, but the current frequencies aren't overcrowded at all, seems like one huge waste of funds in one more change they confuse with progress. Do you still have regular AM/FM in the US?

But you should really try some Julmust instead

dude wtf they don't sell Julmust at Ikea...besides is it a glass of cider?? Thirst quencher provider? Does it make you feel lighter? Does it make you quicker than passing gas through a lighter? Does it hold up better than your internet service provider (ha ha!)? So I walked to Kungsangen and back, show these n***as that I'm a fighter, my raps are tighter, I have enough energy to pull an all nighter, you better get Cyberdevil's internet back, they don't want to see me as a biter, or a bad review writer...

Hah, didn't recall giving the same wise advice last year! Nah man, it's a glass of julmust! It eh... doesn't rhyme with anything. :/ Coca Cola always have to fight to make a profit in Christmas time over here, they keep trying to kick out the competition, but we have our traditions!! IKEA better listen! Ideas are always visions! This fierce taste it'll hit 'em and ensnare all race like religion! This revered taste hither risen!

We'll see if an ELE kinda snow is gonna fall on the big apple lol, but yeah, looks like I gotta try and keep the loader's drive train unfrozen, long story, full of woe. Doom 3 is a poor version of Quake 4, though, Doom was always about run n gun, not shitty emails, locker codes, though the audio logs aren't bad... still, no secrets or magic power ups, aside from a Max Paine slowdown, which needs to be charged by fallen human bodies O_o

Yeah, we still got AM/FM and with digital sideband feeds, though there's still not much to commend it.. yet. New cars and dedicated radios can display song titles and such - a very nice upgrade. However the TV spectrum/land grab was a lose lose for all concerned :p except those lucky few manufacturers of A to D converters, and the 40$ subsidy (per person per unit) they did for a year or so early on... oh well, 4k monitors are getting cheaper

Haha, hope it's not all too much like Day After Tomorrow! Actually heard on the radio today NY are preparing for a 'historical storm', usually don't get weather reports from abroad, must be something spectacular. Yeah, Doom 3 was missing many things, and focused more on the eerie atmosphere than the experience... but dis-considering the prequels it was fun to play! I didn't get the same grand vibe from Quake 4. Quake 2's my definite favorite in that series so far, last time I played it the aesthetical appeal of it all wasn't as awesome as I remembered, but gameplay is still sublime. Plenty of secrets too. Doom and Quake were pretty similar in the early days, Quake like Doom + diagonal planes and authentic 3D. There was a Max Payne slowdown huh, don't recall that all... speaking of which: Max Payne 3 was great! Fantastic. Awesome game. Even if it almost holds too much cinematic value and too little gun running.

Sounds like they're at least not forcing you to abandon the old technology then? I wouldn't mind DAB if they weren't willing to shut down the former frequencies in the process (they were going to be used for something else, don't recall what). Song titles and such sounds neat though. Mmm, 4k monitors under 4k!

I never played Quake II or III just demos, but I can imagine a lot of plot got left behind when IV was written. Still Quake 4 was awesome to play (I did on a single core machine, not bad!)

I'd love to update the Computer Building thread with pix of my machine, but I still can't connect to the NG API, so no uploading or medals or networked other things here :( Anyway, my GTX 760 could do 4k - really need to eyeball the difference in monitors at a Best Buy or something

Mmm, third one is the only one I haven't played yet. I got the impression it wasn't a single-player game like the others (judging by the 'Arena' in title), but apparently it'd be worth a shot.

Have you tried connecting via a proxy/VPN? Even with a 4k monitor, you'd need some 4k content to really take advantage of it right? Hmm, maybe GTA V... wonder how many games support such high resolutions yet.

Thankfully I don't know how to pronounce Jul...must- they said my rap career was a bust, now I'm just shaking off the rust, what I gave them was just the crust, then I gave them a huge thrust, left them in my dust, then they fussed while I lived a life of love and lust, what they did simply wasn't just...that'll teach them to trust

That IKEA needs not to stock up on Coca-Cola, that sh*t tastes up straight like ebola!! Just ask my main man Luis Scola!! I might as well be eating dry granola!! That sh*t makes me take a nasty crap-ola!! Enough with the puns I got the runs oh look there's another ones think fast now I'm done but seriously I got to run quicker than a bullet emerging from the barrel of a gun...

.:: S-3-C the original Indian rap god ::.

Hah man, we should do a collabo in verse sometime. :P All these fun rhymes in run time, emitted through the wires as through one mind, the net a thin but a spun line, though I'm on wireless obsessed with higher jet-level speed sets, getting ready for next level defects, waiting for my bandwidth to bleed out - let me feed on deceiving readouts while I take a deep breath... reminding me that I need rest, least I enter the Internet a tender vet, besting dope fools oldskool dial-up street cred in this ending set.

lol I'm no lyricist...I may be able to brew a sick track but fact is my raps are still wack, I wish I could make them eat crow but truth is I got no flow, I hate my voice at the end of the day genetics gave me no choice, I put on my street clothes but they can see right through my weak prose, I may be able to manipulate time but putting it to a rhyme is a straight up crime, I may have the illest crib and the coolest ad-lib but to say I could rap would be the world's greatest fib, at best it's a poke to the left rib, I can sh*t talk but it ends up just being trite drivel to mock, my spit game is like Spock, I hit the clubs like Picard no rap-game just end up being charred, when I open up my mouth the music just goes way down south.

No flow? What is it I behold though? Rolling on this dope prose, like bowling rows it goes fro. The world is molded so cold, but you know you only YOLO, loaf along and blow smoke, in the face of foax folks. Without soul we have no hope, turn the jokes to choke holds, grow old and be known? Nope. Live in open dough lows, coping hoping hope holds, going like a yoyo, hyper high then so low, flowing like windows open OP post is so provoking no pen nope but totes a smoking typing time on totem tokens till they peel off, spoken on my keybox.

I'm looking at the various types of proxies now... odd how on the wiki page, 'vicarious, disambiguation' is listed as a 'see also', just hoping NG doesn't mind the alternate route :\

Hate to say it, but I think I'm going to wait out GTA V, until some reviews come in... they're offering a free DL of one of their older games (including GTA IV) for free if you pre order, but IDK...

Huuuh vicarious on proxy wiki?? NG shouldn't notice the proxy though, should it? Just the IP used to access it, not how you access the IP used to access... right? That's just my inner logic speaking though, proxy knowledge somewhat lacking.

Ah yeah, I'm definitely waiting with a buy, but sooner or later I'm sure it'll make its way to my official collection! Have all previous GTA titles already, probably the one franchise I'm most loyal to so far. Apart from 2 and 4 I loved them all.

Never came up while talking to Brentheman, but I suspect there's some filtering on NG's side, so, we'll see after I choose a color and model of proxy server, woof... never had to do that before.

IDK, I got a kick of 2, hell, anything was better than GTA 1, though the writing and plots were exquisite in the original. 2 wasn't so bad, and 3... well, if they had kept up with it, it might've been epic.

In GTA 2 do you remember when you had to pick up people from bus stops, then deliver them to the Russians, to be ground up (naked) into Hobo Dogs? Or using an ice cream truck to poison someone, then he goes nuts and green. then drags you out of the truck, dieing while punching you? I miss missions like that :(

Will be interesting to hear how it goes!

I suppose the reason I didn't like GTA 2 so much was that I never gave it much of a chance. Graphically, it looked like a polished up version of the former, comparatively cleaner and with less of the grit and grime (bigger pixels, maybe) I liked in the first. I started playing the first long after the second had come out, right before the third, so only gave it a trial run later on.

Sounds like it had some fun features. :)

Btw, did you ever play the London, 1969 expansion? Still haven't tried that one at all. Ever since the 3D versions came out I feel less inclined to go back to the top-down views.

Your lyrics fresh of the keybox sell faster than a 5 dollar Taco Bell Box that rocks, my rhymes belong in a picture book featuring Goldilocks, maybe next year I can rap for ROBLOX, I got booed off the field during the seventh inning stretch for the Boston Red Sox, now to make ends meet I have to suck all kinds of -_- shocks, is the value I go for, hell no I ain't really a manwhore, unless when it comes to Apple in which I am hard to the core, I devoured my favorite apple to its core, straight down to the seeds containing arsenic, you can hand me a guitar pick, my facade game be slick, but there ain't no trick as when it comes to rapping that gig simply ain't my schtick.

If you pick a guitar which guitar's your pick? Me I'm far from slick guitaring, harr harr say the people who hear my melodical mare and barge in, their heads held high like their the Margarine starched hair on Marge. But I just want to blare horns in my car department, I need a car though, all I get is blaring alarms when I clear the parking. I'm weary from all the alarming blaring alarms and dreary barking in this here apartment. I got a fair hearing and was part pardoned, but the other part's staring at Max Martin videos like they're revered art but fear not, I'll never let my hope dangle, I strangle jokes like I was the feared co Bangles, manic mode mangled, soprano notes nano, in the land of old Spangles where they say half seven but really mean seven thirty. Paradoxes as the clock ticks, like saying clean's dirty. I'm up Early, I thought, skipped breakfast cause wait I'm late, thought I'd eat a brunch but I munch on After Eight. That's the weight.
